Café Truesvale is unlike it's opposite in the city, Café Lizbin. Across town there is a much larger Café which is fairly knew and by a cranny. Inside the air is fresh and the windows are long and wide to let in all the light. The floors are light panelled wood and all the tables and chairs are like an old american diner. Over by the modernised bar large TV's are found at each corner, notably often found to be showing the Lands of Occulas news channel.
This is a friendly environment and welcomes anyone willing to have a good time. They serve fresh drinks and food here most of the time, and the owner, known as Mr T, or nicknamed that by a few youngsters for being so 'cool' about them hanging out there, is happy to assist most. You'll find there is a surprisingly welcome attitude to students especially. Occasionally there is a fair woman who's tall and has long blonde hair that serves here, but you'll be lucky to ever be served by her, it is usually Mr T or his wife, Mrs T, who is equally as fair as him.

Laxion Greenleath Asmodius Corps Maybe nightfall darkens skies And maybe teardrops stain our eyes But may the slightest light start a fire
This year had proved to be a bit of a rollercoaster. After their run in with Zoltan back with the Doctor last year at Christmas, they found themselves back at the Summit, training and wishing to meet a long lost friend again. But there would never be a time for that. Soon enough they ran away... because Ruby was facing problems of her own, and got tied up with two young girls facing a similar problem with the blue and white guilds. Along the way, they made a good friend. Now, things have been tied up with the Summit, and Ruby has come to understand her unlocked powers just a little bit more. The guilds are no longer hunting Scarlot or Lilly, and thanks to the laws provided by the syndicate, no harm will ever come to Lilly and the jewel within her, similarly with Ruby.
Ruby and Laxion were at a new café in town, neither of them really looked at the name of the place, but it was rather inviting to say the least! Sitting down at a small table and chairs Laxion was in the middle of drinking a refreshing cup of tea, a spoon of sugar with it for good measure. Fist on his chin and hand stirring well, he mused to Ruby "You know it's kinda nice having a break from all the action... for once, we're not wanted, we're not chasing someone, and there's no big mean bad guy trying to take over the world" he chuckled to himself. "But-" he thought, placing the spoon beside the mug and leaning back with crossed arms, casually. "Who is that Blue Riding Hood, that people seem to have dubbed her" he gave Ruby a look as if to say he was probably thinking what she was,but he didn't want to say her name in case he was wrong, it was impossible to say the least.
This mysterious woman had been in the news whilst they were gone adventuring actually, spotted in random locations in cities or landscapes, fending off random cultists trying to place dark marks all over the globe. Laxion only got parts of the news about it when it did rarely come up, but all he kept thinking of was when he and Ruby were in a nick of trouble, or even Kyne... she would be there to save them and then leave just as quickly. He nver really thought about the black marks either.

Ruby
Has the year really been a year or a month because Ruby couldn't recalled do to to many inconveniences. However, throughout their journey they've discovered more about themselves, created friendships as well as acquiescence, seen more than half of Magic Earth, and lastly earned protection from Syndicate along with a military grant. Ruby couldn't help but feel that the year of madness was missing something...or perhaps someone. The two may be out of the red zone for now, but what about a certain blue hooded heroin that had come to save them now and then? The time between Laxion and her has been nothing but spectacular and still it's not the same without the third member. She hated to admit it but she was starting to forget what Alexis even looked like or how her optimism held the team together. Her red eyes glanced at the casually dressed elemental wondering if it was a good idea to mention their lost comrade or not. Surprisingly, she wasn't the first applicant to reminisce about the past that mysterious connects to present events.
Anyway, here the two were sitting in an foreign cafe to them, sipping tea, and relaxing for once. Lucas should have accompanied them but he always had business to attend to in a far off location. She disregarded the though, and automatically traced the gold calligraphy on the teacup. Laxion seemed nonchalant when he finally brought up the subject about the hooded figure rescuing innocent bystanders. The albino bit into her bagel with force allowing the mashed up food travel to her cheeks until she swallowed the bread with a loud gulp. Wiping her lips free of bread crumbs, she said, "Don't pretend you don't know who it is. She may wield a different weapon and had unique powers, but she displays them in the same fashion as she use too. As for the dots, I'm sure their not placed their by random. She's trying to tell us something." Ruby voice lowered to a whisper when one of the blonde haired waitresses strolled by.
The child bit into the bagel again giving an annoyed looked as she tried to comprehend the meaning behind all of this. In that short amount of time, she devoured the bread and then asked for a bag of dozen. She was going to get fat with all this waiting around nonsense. Taking another sip of her Camille tea, she asked the male, "Where would you like to go after this? We are on a mini detour so we should make the most of it, right?"

Watching Ruby eat the bagel, it was almost funny. She took the biggest bites she could and when they had first met she was like a robot, not eating, not sleeping. Thankfully, he was happy to say she was more human than ever these days. But Ruby was the one that got straight to the point. They both knew who the woman in the blue cloak was, she even mentioned the scythe but the unique arcane abilties she used. The dots that she mentioned though, ti triggered Laxion's mind.
He continued to think quietly to himself until Ruby mentioned what to do after this, but he raised a hand and said "hang on, wait." he suddenly realised what the black dots may be. A blonde lady then dropped a reciept on the table and in a mature but friendly voice said "Here's your receipt, you can leave the payment here and i'll fetch it" before walking away, rather quickly. Stunned, Laxion just kinda said "ah, ok. Thanks" without really looking, too focused on Ruby.
"Those dots, remember where she has been appearing. They're the locations of Zoltan's marks! She's been fending them off from his followers from the past ever getting there." he was trying to keep his tone quiet but could help loudly saing " it all fits into place! It has to be her, it's... It's Alexis!"
Then the tv's on the news came flashing on, the news lady reporting " once again, dark men with unknown origins are crowding around the Enchanted Forest. The New Magistrate is asking that all citizens leave the immediate area until further notice..."
Laxion looked up at the TV's, then noticed the blonde lady knod her head at Mr T, the fatherly man who owned the cafe behind the counter. The lady then proceeded to take her apron off, over her head and then look over her shoulder towards Ruby and Laxion.
And the penny dropped, right as she hastely made way to the back room where the door was only left open a crack. "Ruby!" they must have both been thinking the same thing as they simoutainiously expressed "Alexis!".
The elemental pushed his chair back as quickly as he could, almost knocking someone over behind him as he went through his pockets to find some change and quickly threw some on the table "I hope that's enough!" he said with a sheepish smirk as he turned to face the backroom, the old man meanwhile had wide eyes and almost comically knew what might be happening, and was quickly trying to get to the doorway first as Ruby and Laxion, almost destructively made their way to the door. Behind, through the crack of the door a blue light glowed.
((omg, next post, so good. can't wait!)

Ruby
That was rude! Ruby through to herself when Laxion wouldn't even bother to answer her and keep to himself. At the moment, he was pulling a Sherlock Holmes about to crack the case of the century. She dove deep into her inner subconscious too until the waitress came by and slapped the receipt down politely. The blonde informed then that it was there seeing as they were both staring off into the distance, offered friendly customer service, and then final left. Laxion got out a half light hearted thank you while she didn't have the chance to say anything. She glanced at the female and found her presence all to familiar, but the element stole her attention. He came to the conclusion that when the dots were connected they made Zoltan's mark meaning that the demon was still alive and kicking. The only reasonable explanation she could think of is that when Dorian fled he found a way to resurrect his fallen master.
The girl leaned in close clasping a cupped hand at the side of her mouth and agreeing. "It is her. Her memories weren't wiped and she's been getting a head start on things until we find her. She wants us to find her I'm sure of it." When the tv's activated a new reported announced that unknown individuals were spotted in the Enchanted Forest and that all personnel stay clear of that area. Apparently, the Magistrate officials were taking control of the situation by evacuating the land and could possibly waiting for support. As interested as Ruby was with the screen the woman ready to release herself from her duties drew her more. Her blue eyes lingered on the two, and instantly Laxion and her jumped out their seats to advance towards her.
The breaded blonde man tried to stop their endeavor by blocking the door frame to the back room where the blue light shined through the slit. Luckily, no one else was in the cafe to see them make this much fuss over one friend. Mr. T got in front of the door, but since Ruby was so small, she dropped to the ground and slid right in between his legs. The man looked down in shock, but made it his mission to not allow the other one passage under any circumstances. She shielded her eyes from the light when she opened the door and yelled, "Alexis! Don't go! It's me, Ruby! Laxion is here too! Don't run away again!"

Laxion Greenleath Asmodius Corps Maybe nightfall darkens skies And maybe teardrops stain our eyes But may the slightest light start a fire
Jumping over a table or two before he actually got to the doorway, Laxion knew he couldn't let this moment evade them, not this time. It's been too long since they've seen Alexis and just realising that she has been so close all this time it - it felt nice, and made him feel stupid. Suddenly, as Laxion found his self suddenly trying to stop before falling on top of the old man who owns the place, he saw Ruby dash beneath the two of them, shouting after Alexis.
Just before Ruby managed to squeeze through, the woman with long blonde hair grabbed a cloak off the wall and swung it around her head and onto her shoulders. It draped down her back and covered down to her ankles. With just a swirl of her fingers before her sapphire sparkles fell down her in a cascade of magic as her clothes changed to blues and blacks, a battle-ready dress with maximum ease of manoeuvrability. She reached out her hand into the glowing blue light, and just as she heard the sound of a body skidding through the soft stone floor she turned, surprised. The glow of blue light dimmed after a bright connection between weapon and master as a great scythe appeared in her clutches. The blonde lady in that moment heard her name being called by a familiar voice she could just about recognise. In that moment everything moved in slow motion, she felt the familiar cold steel of her weapon in hand, and with it taken from tis resting place the automatic enchantment opened up a portal behind her, she was already being pulled half-way as she met eyes with Ruby.
"Ruby" Alexis muttered, dazed, unsure of what to do, but half see-through as the portal took her to the Enchanted Forest before she was gone. Laxion then stumbled through the doorway as the old man stumbled on in afterwards and shouted "Hey, you can't go in here!" "Ruby!" Laxion asked, though, ignoring the man. "A-Alexis" his eyes met with the portal. "We have to chase her! Sorry old man!" he tried to say in the nicest way possible. "Let's go, Ruby! She's not getting out of our clutches this time!" he announced, with a burst of air magic as he flung himself forwards and into the portal!

Ruby
The owner of the cafe ruined Laxion's infiltration by blocking the door with his body. The element almost stumbled onto him because he was desperate to see their friend again even if it was for the last time. The blue light radiating from Alexis' shifting scythe dimmed just enough for the child to receive a good long look at her. The weapon had a sliver rod that attached to a rotating lock that moved the blade of the scythe. Ruby was astonished in how inclined the woman was with maniacs and wanted to question her about the new equipment. Her arcane magic was alos more improved than before probably because rewriting the past gave her plenty of time to practice. Either way, she is the same old companion that they had traveled with for a year. The hood may cover her appearance, but her bright personality broke through the wall of blue and black cloth. Alexis knew she was acknowledged when she turned to Ruby and said her name.
The girl smiled and replied, "You remember me! Alexis I've been-" They didn't get to be reunited for long because the portal she opened gravitated her in. Her green eyes locked onto Laxion too when he was finally granted passage from the breaded guardian. He must had been to excited to wait around for her to return so jumping into the portal was their best bet. Laxion proceeded first and before Ruby followed she ensured Alexis' father that they would be back. "We'll take care of her. I promise." She smiled a kiddish grin and then pursued the two willingly.

There was a sudden flash of blue light from between the ruler-thin gap of the doorway to the backroom. Mr.Truesvale gave a gasp and a "ah..." as he realised his daughter had finally come back, he had only hoped the two uninvited friends didn't get in the way of the mission. The press were told to leave by the New Magistrate and couldn't cover any of Alexis' win over the dark cultists. Laxion, coming through the portal first found his footing firmly on the stone floor, the room was bare and with spare tables and chairs, as well as other crates filled with goods to sell in the café.
There still weren't anyone else in the café, probably because it was newly opened and in a not-so easy place to find, but the Truesvales were sure that once they were found by more students, the more-boring and less inviting cafe in the middle of town would go out of business. Just as well, Lizbin was a moody woman at the best of times, which was never. Pulling open the door the ageing father stared in and met gazes with Laxion first whilst the girls come through the portal afterwards. Laxion immediately found himself scratching the back of his head in shame as he pulled an awkward smirk and said "err... Sorry sir.. uhm... Mr Truesvale?" he pondered, this must be Alexis' father who she went back in time to save! "It's just been so long uh-" "It's perfectly alright, son" the man said with a smile, calling him 'son' was friendly enough. "Alexis has told me alot about you two" he then opened the door for them to come through. Laxion walked out into the café first and stood by the bar waiting for the girls to come on in too. Alexis with her blonde long hair swept out o the way quickly threw her blue cloak on a hanger and closed the back room door behind her after Ruby walked in too.

Ruby
The blonde mage still had business to attend to most importantly checking in with her father. Ruby had forgotten the promise she made to the old man and was determined to see it through. Alexis didn't want the paparazzi badgering her about her victory over the foes which the child understood that humbleness was the best route. Pocketing her ticket and the second extra, the woman conjured a portal with her staff in a nostalgic way that reminded her of old times. Laxion entered first which made him a victim of explaining the events to Alexis' father to lessen the impact on all of them. Ruby frozen when it came to confessing to adults even though she was one herself but never acted like it. She followed Alexis into the blue void and landed on the tiled cafe floor as the space closed. Her female companion hung up her cape that would await for another adventure while Laxion conversed with the inviting owner.
He seemed glad to acquaintance the two for the first time after heard stories of their journeys together. If he only knew half of the trouble they ended up in and somehow always came out of alive. She was informed that Kyne would come around the cafe around noon and join them for cotton candy fun. An idea light up over her head, figurative speaking, and she walked over to Alexis' dad. "Sir, if it's not to much to ask. After we're done eating would you like to go to the carnival with us?" The albino reached out her hand and smiled just as a young child would do. The closest person to a father to her is Lucas, but maybe this man could fill that position for the moment sense Lucas is on a trip.
She didn't see any reason for him not to come seeing as him and Laxion were suddenly so chummy. Hopefully this situation wouldn't be to embarrassing for Alexis so she should ask for the daughter's consent too. "Does that sound like a good idea to you, Alexis? I can buy him a ticket. Believe me, I have more money than I know what to do with." She laughed, a charming twinkle sparked in her red eyes similar to a wide eyed anime character.

The bright light from outside made it difficult for his vision to adjust to the darker environment within the cafe. Kyne pushed the door open and ducked into the doorway. Not being able to identify if any of his former comrades was here already, he casually removed his cloak and placed it over a nearby chair to wait. Although there were some people, Kyne was keen on taking this opportunity to eat his first meal in several days of saving a family from bandits. The eager waitress arrived at his table before his bottom had even touched the chair and staggered, Kyne orders "Whatever is most appetizing." As she rushes away, Kyne exhales and rubs his eyes, the exhaustion just now settling on him.The aroma from the back of the cafe made hi look up and see his old friends sitting there. For a moment, Kyne felt excited to see them and it felt nice. The random need to hinder his brother in his schemes called for Kyne to leave suddenly immediately after the rescue of the gem entrusted women. Kyne was remorseful but was less inclined to explain the situation to them who had already endured so much. He would not bring his problems onto others. Until now...Pushing his seat back after a moment;s hesitation he rose his massive stature from the wooden seat which seemed to creak in relief. With an idle hand grabbing his cloak he paced over to their table with loud footsteps and a big smile. Hello again!, with a small gentleman's bow, May I join you?

To Ruby's request, Mr Truesvale felt truly flattered to know she wanted him to come. Laxion then put a hand on his waist as he waited for what he'd say, but his reply was "I'm so very sorry Ruby, but the café requires me to run it" he leaned in closer and tried to soften the decline by saying quietly "can't let the misses do it all herself eh?" with a short chuckle. Alexis didn't have time to reply for her dad, but couldn't help but give a small smile, he truly was a gentlemen. Laxion then thought of a bright idea as the door tot he café seemingly chimed by coincidence. "Hey, Ruby, we can invite Kyne? We haven't seen him in a while you know". Just then Alexis' mother brushed by, she was surprisingly similar to Alexis, except her blonde long hair was now beginning to show strands of silver and she wore some very elegant silver glasses. "Oh, sorry dears i'll come a have a chinwag in a few moments". Laxion leaned back to let her by with an awkward smile as she went to serve Kyne.
Then after a few more minutes, Kyne came over to the modern bar by th emore open space of the café, and Alexis saw him walking over, recognising him but not having met him before. Alexis cleared her throat to give attention to him as he said "Hello Again!", asking to join them. "Ah, hey Kyne" Laxion said, turning to open the circle amongst them that much wider. They hadn't seen him for a short while, and Laxion had to admit it was nice seeing him around again, the only other guy he ever spoke to these days were Lucas, but he was away on Syndicate work a lot now. "Oh, uhm, " Laxion then saidm gesturing to Alexis and adding "This is Alexis Truesvale and her father, she's the one we've told you about, we found her!"

Ruby
Truesvale politely announced his desertion to the carnival, but whispered his reasons so she understood why. She frowned like a pouting child, but realized that the man put his married duties first to keep his wife happy. She nodded in respect and took Laxion up on his offer to invite Kyne if he comes around because he is late! The more the merrier she though as she caught a glimpse of a woman that was almost identical to Alexis. They hadn't been introduced to blonde's mother yet and frankly she didn't know she was her and felt awful for mistaking her as a wallflower. The waitress inched passed them to make her way onto the floor in order to serve a customer sufficiently. The group was seated at a booth when Ruby caught foot steps walking over to them and a shadow looming over the table.
Alexis greeted him first even though she didn't know him but she was use to making people feel welcome because it was her job. Laxion was next in line and moved to preserve a spot for Kyne since their was more room than the three knew what to do with. The albino smiled and slapped the ticket onto the table and said, "Your going to the carnival with us and I will not accept no as an answer!" She sounded more boisterous than usual waiting to Kyne's response.

The smile Kyne wore was only a modest interpritation of the happiness he held inside to see his friends once again. He gave a friendly nod to the others and sat into the chair. The energy in the room was just as he remembered. Somehow these people where capable of care taking over the warmth and hospitality, making him feel as if he had only seen them the week past. So when Ruby asked him if he would like to join them on an adventure, how could Kyne refuse? How can I refuse? Gladly. He reached out for the ticket.

"Nice to finally meet you" Alexis said to Kyne as he took his place on the firm seat. Alexis' mother then came from the kitchen and brought through his beverage, she hoped he liked it and often thought she had a keen eye for the good stuff. Placing it down she gave a quick and cheerful "Here y'are" before turning around and asking Mr Truesvale for a little help out back "look after the Café for just a moment could you Al?" she asked, Alexis giving a short nod in her mum's direction as the ageing blonde and short wise man vanished behind a door frame. Laxion grabbed a ticket of his won from Ruby, giving his thanks as he read over it "starts this afternoon" he mused, looking to the hanging TV for the time on the news, it was hardly even past lunch, they had plenty of time and the whether looked more than pleasurable.
"So what've you been up to Kyne? Been a while since we've been able to catch up?" he asked, wondering what he's been busy with, he kind of hoped he had some leads on his brother. Laxion wasn't one for family feuds, but he hoped the best for Kyne's sake, and would help him any time. After all, he helped himself and Ruby. The last couple of weeks have been nice however, everything came to a calm and they've been able to rest, apologising to the Summit was embarrassing... but they were surprisingly understanding and said they could come back when they want. And to be honest... their home there was more than luxurious. Ruby and Laxion even had some extra time to meet up with Nyru, Adi and Claudia several times after their own mishap, thank the heavens they came out of their onslaught okay.

Ruby
Ruby smiled so hard that she felt like her face was going to freeze that way. Her inner child was released when it came to events like this even though she was twenty one, still her companions accepted her. Laxion notified her that the carnival was this evening but when she looked at the time she was disappointed. "What? I thought it was like two or something." Whining sarcastically, the albino set her head on the table as if she was moping over an important matter. Alexis had to depart for a moment to fill her mother's position while she was out. The child scooted closer to Kyne to hear his adventures because he didn't agree to stay with them at the summit. Granted she would refuse to due to the fact that they only knew each other for a whole week.
To be honest, she wanted to know if her brother still intended on hunting her down for the jewel inside her chest. At least she knew how to control the artifact now instead of handling it blindly. Her and Entei were closer than ever considering that he was her one and only mentor on the subject. However, she caught onto the habit of calling Lucas father to which he had to correct her everything. Entei was more like a wise old grandfather that she never had similar to Horad. Where is he anyway? Without thinking, she grabbed Kyne's alcoholic beverage and downed the brown fizzy liquid in one take. She set the glass on the table and said, "That drink tasted weird." Ruby had never had a beer in her life so inserting so much into her system made her drunk. Pink blushed showed up from cheek to cheek and she began swaying back and forth with a zombified smile on her face.
