Name: Kasimir Vonnegut
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Height: 5'7"
Facial expression: Cocky, arrogant grin
Hair: Black, kind of shaggy cool-guy hairstyle but sleek, pretty hair -- it's artistically, expensively messy, not just plain messy
Eye color: Light brown/amber
Skin color: Deep tan/golden-brown Skintone reference (man on the left)
Profession: Noble Brat
Military outfit: Mix 'n match: Mostly standard but with V-neck shirt

Casual outfit:
• Based on the TekTek avatar above, please!
• You can CC add/remove/alter any aspects of the outfit as you please, I basically just want him to be a posh, polished dude.

Personality:

- spoiled like oh my god:

First of all, Kas is spoiled. Terribly spoiled. For the most part, his (material) whims have been completely indulged. He's always had the finest things, and has no real understanding of the value of money. He will waste things without a second thought, and throw away or ruin perfectly serviceable items simply because they were old or he was bored with them. Kasimir has never been charitable, although he has thrown away a fortune in useful goods and clothes -- not out of any malice but more out of sheer thoughtlessness. He doesn't want his old clothes. They're not fashionable. Why in the world would anyone want old clothes? Ugh!

On the rare occasions that Kasimir has impulsively decided to give things to poorer people (and these are RARE, mind you, as Kas only ventures beyond Wall Sina on riding and hunting pleasure trips -- he mostly gives gifts to family servants, etc) they are gifts that poorer people find fairly useless and insultingly off-base. Like, wow, thanks Kasimir, for this fancy gold-threaded saddle cloth. I will be sure to put it on my best show horse immediately. If he does give you a gift he will stare at you intently in a very uncomfortable way, eagerly ready to drink up your adoration and tears of gratitude.

Kasimir really doesn't know how to woo women except by throwing money at them. He enjoys the fancier high-end prostitutes, and society ladies blinded enough by his cash to put up with his insufferable attitude. Happily for him at least, Kas has never set his eye on a lady with higher standards. He has enjoyed playboying it up.

-/+ self-centered:

Everything, every event in the world, is viewed first and foremost through the lens of how it affects Number 1. Kasimir is capable of empathy and understanding, but only if it doesn't cost him very much. He might help someone with an injury, but if they got blood on his fancy clothes he would throw a tantrum. He might offer food to someone who was hungry, but not if he was even the slightest bit tetchy.

Famine, conflict and human unhappiness are so far from Kas's insulated little world that he really doesn't give them much thought. At all. Kasimir doesn't see suffering unless it's shoved right into his face.

-WHEN- the Titans attack eventually, if Kas is still happily behind Wall Sina, he will get fussy about the strain on the nobles' resources, not the loss of human life. He will also be fussy about the loss of all that prime riding and hunting ground behind Wall Maria. If Kas is still a Civilian at this point, he might be tempted to join the military out of sheer petulance over his favorite riding grounds being overrun by monsters with dirty feet.

On the plus side, this self-centered fussiness allows Kas to carry on without being disturbed in situations where more sensitive people might be running around wringing their hands or otherwise be seriously conflicted or unhappy.

-/+ naive:

Kas doesn't know the depths of human suffering that exist in the poorer districts. He doesn't know much about the realities that most people face. He doesn't know, or understand, how many poorer people have to scrape by in life.

While this is understandably infuriating to people who haven't had Kasimir's privileges, he really doesn't have ill intentions when he makes outrageously stupid, callous comments. He just doesn't know, or understand, and it will be veeery difficult to shake him of his naivete.

Kasimir will always be concerned about his own struggles above all else (to the extent that suffering in other districts may irritate him if it affects his own comfort), but he doesn't harbor any ill will towards poorer people. He doesn't consider people without his background to be lesser people. He is just completely oblivious to the realities they face. So, while Kasimir may put himself above all others, it is simply because he is Kasimir, not because of his noble blood. Kasimir will consider the thoughts, feelings, and opinions of all other people of ALL stations, from king to slumdweller, with a fair and equal mind. Because everyone is equally less awesome than him, why would he bother being prejudiced?

-/+ competitive:

Kasimir knows he's the best and if he is proven to not be the best at anything he can't accomplish by throwing money at it he will grit his teeth and struggle and try and try and try until he IS the best.

Kasimir is an excellent swordsman, hawker, rider and hunter, because he just cannot handle being shown up at something he enjoys. He can't. Kas has never felt that competitive fire with anything really productive (like his education), but for largely pointless noble pleasure activities? Awwwww s**t son, it is on.

If/when he eventually joins the military, this competitive streak will drive him to become the best, because he is the best and everyone better damn well respect that. While his competitive drive may lead him to actually become fairly accomplished in the military, it also leaves him vulnerable to manipulation via taunting. Kas has a very well developed survival instinct, but if taunted too much he could easily become reckless.

-/+ survival instinct:

Kas's father is a viscount, and Kas has inherited his unerring survival instinct (if not his sense of responsibility). Kasimir will negotiate every situation in his life with that unerring survival instinct. He may stick his foot in his mouth or get himself into sticky situations through his sheer obliviousness, but when threatened Kas sharpens up in a hurry.

People who might seek to take advantage of the spoiled young noble have run up against this sharper side of Kas's nature and been baffled. He might seem too self-centered to take notice, but he has an excellent instinct for knowing when people are lying to him or trying to swindle him.

+ works well under pressure:

This survival instinct will serve Kas well in the military. He won't seek out unpleasant or tedious activities as a noble, but his ability to work well under pressure may actually make him a leader in the military. When under threat, everything comes into very sharp focus for Kasimir:

How the ******** do I get out of this in one piece?

He will be able to keep his cool in even the most stressful and terrifying situations, because for Kas, everything, everything is about looking out for himself (and by extension, his team). Kas will be able to make cold-hearted decisions for the greater good if he is called on to do so. If it's necessary for survival, Kas will not hesitate to undertake incredibly dangerous and risky maneuvers. Kas will not fall apart when faced with tragedy or fear or painful decisions, he will act decisively.

And then when the danger has passed he will probably start whining about how his boots got scuffed or something. Because that's who he is.

History:

The fourth son of a viscount, Kas has enjoyed a life of privilege and luxury without the expectation that he actually do very much to follow in his father's footsteps. His mother, something of a trophy wife, doted on her youngest and most handsome son, indulging his every whim.

His father is a court noble, and the family lives happily within Wall Sina. They don't govern any territories, although Kas's father does own a sprawling manor behind Wall Maria where the boys practiced riding and hawking growing up. Oh, speaking of his father, he's not very fond of Kas. He knows Kas has good qualities somewhere (deep) inside. He knows Kas has the intelligence and drive and cold, steely will to make something of himself in court. Unfortunately, all of that is buried under a mountain of memememe.

Eventually, Kas's pop is going to get completely fed up with his son's pointless existence and threaten to disinherit him. Kas doesn't take well to threats. Kas is going to get pissed and stamp his feet and flip his hair and storm off to show his father that he, Kas, is freaking awesome in his own right. Kas is going to seek out the military, graduate at the top of his class, and march back home as a proud member of the military police. That will show pop what's what and who's who.
