I don't even know how to roleplay. biggrin

I think a certain older thread from the four years back is in order. We had a decent Role-Play for Dummies thread going that really helped people understand role-playing. People asked questions and we discussed stuff relating to role-playing and shared examples of things you should and shouldn't do.

I just remade the Role-Playing for Dummies thread so if you guys have any questions about role-playing in general you can ask them there. In the last version four years back we had four pages of people talking about things like what tense they use for writing their posts, talking about god modding, how to handle using several characters in one RP at the same time, what a twink is, and building well rounded characters like avoiding the dreaded Mary Sue. It's a good thread to keep an eye on as we slowly get back to using the role-play forum on here.

I haven't forgotten how to RP as I just came from another RP group, but coming back to Gaia I found that the RP style around here has grown into 4+ paragraphs with animoo pics and fancy posting. Although this is nice (but it does kinda irk me to see ppl use existing character pictures and claim it as a new character, half of which are from hentai VN games. rofl C'mon, Gaia was an RP site to begin with, your avatars would make great characters! crying ) I can't really catch up with that much writing, haha. One or two paragraphs, yea but oh gosh, I'm no writer. crying

I just need to alter Alo's background a bit to fit the setting and I should be good to go. ninja This account was going to be strictly RP use buuuut it ended up becoming sort of a main-ish account with little chance to RP. I'm hoping this will change here in this guild. Maybe IC speak should be in pink while OOC in black?
