Given the other male's response, that was what he had been hoping for. It about took all of Hjortur's will to not grimace at the force with which his had was shook, a hesitant smile taking place instead as he returned the motion.

Oh boy, more talking. Glancing up to his mellon, now beside him after catching his gaze, he whispered, "Terpsichore... Can you read lips...?"

"Not particularly well..." she mumbled, laughing. "Well, good luck~!" at this she disappeared, likely for the rest of the conversation.

Why that little... Was there really any way for him to get out of this situation? First thought was music: fun solved all problems, right? Reaching to grab his bone flute (from where let's not think about it), he held it out for the other male to see. "Do you like music? Would you like to hear a song?" Maybe he could enchant him onto someone else he might work better with; perhaps Aeroniel? She could read minds, right? He almost snickered at the thought of her stuffy little self putting up with somenaiad like this.

The instant he saw the flute, Chromis released the other male's hand and stared at it intently. He started to open his mouth, self promotion on the tip of his tongue but he stopped. While others couldn't appreciate his genius, he still appreciated music and it actually settled him down enough.

Nodding his head with enthusiasm, he went back to talking. Instead of about himself, he encouraged Hjortur to play. In addition to verbalizing he also made a hand gesture to accompany the encourage met.

Part 1: success.

Part 2: ...

Lifting the flute to his lips, Hjortur began to play one of his more fervent pieces of folk music. It was amazing how in-tune he'd become with his instrument, and quickly he'd learned which songs had varying degrees of strength thanks, in large part, to his mellon. Where would he be without her guidance? Even if the naiad couldn't see the demons coming forth, he knew that they would be joining very soon with a melody like this.

Now, Chromis would likely be overcome with an incredible urge to just dance and swim and really just make merry. Perhaps, depending on his nature, to a rather extreme sense. As Hjortur began to swim forward and in the direction of the castle, he would likely feel this pleasure brought on by the demons' influence begin to fade as they left, followed an overwhelming need to be close to the music. Of course, this is all speculation based on what this sort of song would do in an average pae on an average occasion; what it would actually do was dependent on both variations in the demons actually summoned and the mental state of the one they were affecting.

With any luck though, he could lead this guy to the castle and then be on his way. Heck, maybe some others would join in; the more the merrier!

Chromis followed along with the music. He was clearly the best dancer and very happy to show anyone who looked exactly how good he was. This could have lasted for hours but he caught sight of the castle.

A new game was afin, the sound of his 'ninja' music filling his head where the other tune had enraptured. With not a word he took off towards the castle itself, the newest urge propelling him forward.

This would drop off where the next rp I had with Aeroniel started. Just don't tell Aeroniel or Hjortur is in for it
