xxxxxx»»Ninєvє Cordєliα  The plan seemed to drag on. Nineve didn't mean to be impatient. Usually she loves running through each plan five or six times, but today was not the day. By the fifth time, Nineve started pushing for the meeting to go faster.
At ten till twelve, Nineve was practically bouncing in her seat.
At five after, she was released with the sworn promise that she'd remember everything needed for tonight. Giddy with excitement, Nineve spotted her new friend and took a few calming breaths. She tended to get over-excited about things. She waved. "Hey, Pileng!" she called, hurrying towards her.
We're just friends. We're just friends, her mind chanted. After all, with procreation being required for all couples, being in a same-gender relationship would be illegal. Still, they were just friends. Right?

Ping heart lifted when she heard her name being called from a distance, she quickly stood and looked around and spotted Nini coming towards waving. A huge smile came to Ping's face as she waved back, and moved to meet her half way. "Nini! Just in time." Pileng said excitedly, wanting to give the girl a friendly hug, but she refrained from making any bold moved she wasn't sure how the girl would react and she refused to set off any unnecessary alarms. "How was your day! uh er...if you don't mind me asking did you get any shopping done? Uhhh... you don't have any bags, that was a stupid question huh? Um..." She was babbling like a nervous buffoon Ping decided to just shut her mouth and take a few deep breaths, before continuing. "What do you wanna do right now?"

xxxxxx»»Ninєvє Cordєliα  Nineve laughed a little at Pileng's reaction as she walked up. It was nice to see, actually. She had never seen this side of her friend. "No, no worries," she said to the girl who seemed slightly hesitant. "I thought I'd go shopping tonight," she said coolly, reaching over and hugging her quickly.
"Um, we could go to that Cafe on 24th Street or..." Nineve thought about it. Now that she had a friend to do boring stuff with, she had to figure out what stuff was boring enough to do. "We could go to the mall together. Or, like, the bookstore a block from here? They have a nice place to talk and read," she laughed. The ideas ran out of her mouth without thoughts. The bookstore was nice, because it had a large lounge and a weird juice store. It was an artificial remake where the stuff didn't even have a taste - it was mostly to look cool.

Ping was really happy that Nini didn't call her out on her foolish comment, it allowed her to more gracefully recover as she grinned at the woman during the brief hug they shared. "If that's so I don't mind going with you a little bit later tonight, I'm free after all."Ping said happily before quieting down to listen to the girl speak on about what they could do right now. Lunch at the Cafe sounded really good right about now. "Sure let's head to the cafe, we could make a date out of it..um I mean...not like a 'date', but....you know what I mean, right?"

She certainly didn't mind the company, as long as her new-found friend was in bed by three so Nini could participate in the rendezvous then. She didn't want to endanger her neighbor either. This day was just getting better and better, Nineve thought. Her excitement couldn't be contained! It lit up her face.
"A date!" she squealed, nudging Pileng and turning a few heads their way. "A date it is," she laughed, though she wasn't laughing at her friend, but more at the newness of it all. "This is so exiting," she added, feeling a fluttering she feels only in the dead of night rescuing her fellow rebels. It was making Nineve feel giddy.

Ping regarded Nini with wide eyed astonishment as the girl let out her excitement in a loud squeal, there was small pause, just a beat and then Ping grinned and nodded her head in agreement. "Yes a date, perfect"Ping spoke, her confidence renewed as Nini began laughing, a beautiful golden sound, infectious, in it's mirth, so much so that Ping just had to laugh along side Nini, the girls excitement bringing out another side of Ping. "Let's go I'll lead the way, and I guess since I technically declared this little outing a date, it will be my treat."

xxxxxx»»Ninєvє Cordєliα Nineve blinked. "Eh?! No way!" she said. "I wanna pay," she pouted, teasingly, taking Ping's arm and starting to walk with her down the road. She didn't mind paying, especially if they were going to actually treat it like a date. It might be nice, actually. Nini had some extra money lying around she hardly used, hiding in a secret bank through the rebellion. It's funny how alike and yet how different the old world and the new one were.
"Are you sure?" she asked, someone serious again. She hesitated, but eventually let Ping's arm go, just because she didn't want to be too touchy-weird on the first day they really got to know each other. Plus, too much touching anyway and they could be cited. That's the last thing she needed!
