I have a few theories about the next Smash Brother. Before E3 can confirm and/or destroy my thoughts I'm going to post them on Gaia and try to start a discussion. 1. The fifth spot for Pokemon will not go to Mewtwo. Everyone needs to remember that Jigglypuff was an original fighter and has been in every Smash. Mewtwo will either be a skin for Lucario, a DLC Character, or DLC skin for Lucario. 2. It's going to be great. 3. Chrom will most likely be in the next game give Fire Emblem 3 spots for the first time. I can see Lucina being a skin for Marth.I'd like to see Robin (The created Character in Awaking) make it into the game but that's a stretch. 4. It's going to be Great. 5. I believe the two different port will play differently. I think the Wii U version will play more like Melee and the 3ds version will play more like Brawl. 6. IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT!!! 7. It's not coming out soon enough.

Dude I am going for the 3DS version. I love smash bros.
Now that we know about Mii Fighters, would a semi-customizable Robin really be so far fetched? wink
I'm all for Lucina being a skin of Marth, with her Falchion as well. Now that Ike's been announced I can only hope they put in Chrom as well, but I don't think that sounds too likely.
I'm more excited about the Wii U version, because the graphics are infinitely better to look at and the controls will be much smoother. Also, I'm afraid if I play too much Smash on my 3DS I'll break the damn thing. sweatdrop
Let's talk mains. Out of the new characters, who are we most interested in, hm?
Personally, I am stoked to try out Palutena! And Little Mac, Mega Man, & Roslina tie for 2nd. Of course, I think we'll all try out all the characters.
Manly Ike is best Ike. I remember seeing him in Brawl and being really disappointed that they used his PoR model. He doesn't even look like he can handle Ragnell... I loved Ike in the Fire Emblem games, he was a straight shooter. He was fast, strong, and didn't care for politics. Seeing the awkward kid Ike slugging around a huge sword that he can't handle after seeing him develop into the badass godslayer he was in Radiant Dawn was too much of a letdown.. But now! Oh boy, oh boy, I might even start using him!
Zero Suit Samus finally won't be such a gimmicky character, I'm pretty excited about this. From what I hear, people are saying she is Tier 1, but that might just be because the player that won the tournament was using her. Only time will tell.
As always, I will definitely give Samus, Kirby, & King DeDeDe (my Brawl mains) some love. I was disappointed with the handles/aesthetics on Link, Zelda, and Marth in Brawl, I hope I enjoy them in SSB4.

With how big Awaking was it would shock me if Chrom didn't make it into the new Smash. It would shock me none if Fire Emblem gets a third Character Slot.
The Wii U version can't come out soon enough. I'm afraid of breaking my 3ds as well. Mines already proven it can't handle 200+ hours of MH3U let allow the 1000+ I'll put into Smash.
As for mains, I don't see much changing for me. Pikachu, Fox and Ike will most likely stay in my main rotation but I could see Gerninja entering it as well. This is all coming off of what we saw in the invitational (plus Ike just looks like he can deal tons of damage). I'm really looking forward to the Wii fit trainer plus Pac Man looks interesting enough.

There's such a broad variety on characters at this point my mains are up in the air. It will take considerable time investment in each character until I pick favorites.
Yeah, Awakening was so big that the local Gamestops in my area didn't even get enough copies for those who reserved the game. So those who reserved it were on a first-come, first-serve basis. Anyone else was out of luck. Luckily for me, however, I managed to pick up the last copy at Target on the day of release around 9:00 A.M.
I was also surprised Ike came back, although I was so satisfied with his new look I didn't even mind. But then I got to thinking, why have all Swordsmen from Fire Emblem? This would be the perfect opportunity to implement a different class. And with moveset customization & Mii Fighters already announced I don't see why they can't implement a semi-customizable Robin. Just keep him/her Grandmaster class but nameable and you can change the hair/face. Maybe even select 1 of the 3 heights which would reflect on speed to power ratio. It really wouldn't be as tough as it sounds, not any harder than putting any other character into the game anyway. One can only hope.

I mean I think my mains are still set, Lucario, and Ness will probably play the same, and i can already taste the power ill be dealing out with Charizard. Did E3 confirm all the characters?
Because id really like to see a return in Roy and Pokemon Trainer, im kinda sick of everyone sucking Charizards D all the time, Squirtle was the best, so bring back Pokemon Trainer!

I have played the Fire Emblem game with Roy (Fire Emblem 6, as well as all other Fire Emblem games afterwards), and I can honestly say I don't care for him. In Fire Emblem he was a more boring clone of his Dad. In Smash he's a bad clone of Marth. I'd much rather see sooo many other Fire Emblem characters make the fray than Roy. (semi-customizable Robin pl0x)
Pokemon Trainer sucked because rotating characters sucked. Glad they fixed Zelda/Shiek too by making them their own separate characters. Though, Shiek is random at this point, she was only in like Ocarina of Time... She should have gotten dropped imo, or replaced for Shirahim/Impa. I'm kind of hoping Ganon doesn't return and instead one of those two joins, as much I've enjoyed him in the past.
And here is the link. I heard there are 9 characters left to be revealed, putting us at a 42-character roster. I'm sure Captain Falcon will return. He is basically the face of the franchise, lol. I have high hopes for a return from Mewtwo along with Robin from Fire Emblem. And if they add Shirahim also I will be content.
I'm amped up for the Wii U version (as I plan on buying a Wii U w/ the GC controller adapter just for Smash) but I will more than likely get the 3DS version as well, just because.

Daaaamn, I can't believe you just linked that video. I watched it back when, that guy cracks me up. rofl
And yeah, it comes out first too, so I'm definitely gonna pick up the 3DS version. I'll familiarize myself with the characters and whatnot and try not to break my 3DS by the time the Wii U version comes out.. I am considering the Gamecube controlled connector thing as well, but I'll probably just use a Classic Controller like I did in Brawl. Plus it will work for other games whereas the Gamecube controller port will most likely just be for SSB4.

I've been competitively smashing since Melee (been playing since the original but just smashing others outside of my inner circle of friends via the Smash boards), so GC controller all the way for me. Hopefully more titles will have GC optional controls as well, if nothing else, perhaps for GC virtual console titles. Another thing worth mentioning, I'll probably waste a ton of money on those Amiibo figures (even if I never use them in-game). pirate

Super Smash Bros. has been in my top 2 favorite franchises since N64. (Along with Pokemon, Fire Emblem takes 3rd.) But I can't really say I ever got "competitive" in Super Smash Bros. but I'm about as good as a casual player can be. xD
All jokes aside, I've been looking more into the competitive scene lately and who knows. I've never entered a Tournament or played with anyone outside of a small group of friends. Maybe I'll test my mettle in SSB4
And yes, I shall decorate my apartment with them in all their glory. Huzzah! pirate
I'm surprised about Lucina though.. Looks to be a Marth clone, but we'll have to wait to find out. Personally, the 3 major game series I follow are Fire Emblem, Pokemon, and Super Smash Bros. So I'm actually pretty happy to see some extra FE characters join the fray.

I'm hoping Lucina has something different to her compared to Marth, aside from a change in the power/speed ratio.
Not surprised at Capt. Falcon, just surprised they waited so long to announce a character that everyone knew was going to be in it.
And OMG Robin. Spell-slinging swordsman FTW. I was pretty excited for Palutena up until this point, but now I can't wait to play Robin.
As for the WiiU vs 3DS, I'm glad they're making it on both simply because I don't have a WiiU. My XL is fairly new (recently upgraded from 3DS to 3DS XL), but my old one was still in good condition after 400+ hours or Monster Hunter, plus at least 1000 hours in my other games combined. But after this, I may end up getting a WiiU simply because smash bros. has always been a party game, and I have a 82 inch projector screen and a sound bar to hook it up to.

I recently got a WiiU and it is totally worth it, used at Gamestop for 220 i think.

I was shocked about Chrom and Robin. I thought they'd make Lucina a skin instead of her own character. I never thought they'd add Robin as well though I will be using him. Most likely won't get the figures. Don't see the point.
