This region was named after the Aether family that built the Sanctuary (see below). The spellsword that came to call it home, Jaraz'án Orizon , died many uncountable years ago, but the family still lives on. In history Orizon became the beacon of defence against the Verdant that would use the Dún Hills to creep round the side of Aetherpolis instead of using Verdurrous. By creating a sanctuary between the Dún Hills and the Mountains of Green, Jaraz'án formed the Southern Watch. A family of warriors, spellswords and hunters that would stop any Verdant from ever venturing northwards. The Archon Grove of Wu is enough to defend Aetherpolis from the north in Morningsong Forest.

Anyone is a welcome guest here, but do not expect the Orizon family to bathe you, or they'll disrespect you, too, and force you to venture to the orcs as a token of shame.

Speaking of Orcs, when they arrived all those years ago and formed homes, they cleared much of the Verdant away over many years, making the life of those in Orizon much nicer.

Outside the immediate cliffs and gardens of the palace, the wilderness is more dangerous, not for the Verdant, but for the countless streams that suddenly drop into crevices.
