Max Valentine is shown waiting backstage.
Max: Please welcome my guest at this time, the reigning DHW Heavyweight champion, Zarel Damone.
Zarel steps into view of the camera, the championship already around his waist.
Max: Champ, tonight you step into a steel cage with the head of the Chosen, Jack Arson. What are your thoughts?
Zarel looks down at the smaller man. "My thoughts are that tonight I put an end to this crap with the Chosen. There are bigger and more important matters than the Chosen. The most important is this right here." Zarel taps the championship around his waist. "You see, Jack Arson doesn't concern me. For all his bravado, he hasn't done much other than beat five guys in a gauntlet match, one of whom is damn near crippled, the others who haven't exactly wowed anyone since their arrival. Meanwhile, I'm beating every challenge to come my way, including him. I outsmarted him, and that just pisses him off. Three Damones fended off all of the Chosen in his last effort to cash in. But I can applaud him for trying to be a man and cash in in a legit match."
Max: So in other words, you're positive you're the one going into Blaze of Glory as the champion.
Zarel smirks. "Damn right I am. You see, Arson's a big boy, but I'm a big man. I've been to the top of the mountain. I'm standing at the top of the mountain, and I like the view. A steel cage? Just fun for the Monster to play with. I'm going to beat the living hell out of Jack Arson tonight inside a steel cage. If he were smart, he'd try to escape, but I'm counting on him doing that. I will beat him, batter him, and leave him a bloody shell of a man. I know what it takes to be champion. I'm not ready to relinquish my hold on the title. The Chosen have tried all they could to take it off me, but group warfare clearly isn't their forte. So it goes like this. Tonight, Jack Arson steps into the ring with a man just as big as he is, with no hope of help. He's locked in a cage with a man who is as strong as he is with years more experience and the drive and ability to maim and hurt him. Tonight, he gets to see what happens when your mouth writes a check your a** can't cash. Tonight, I continue on to Blaze of Glory."
Max: As you know, Knight is the current number one contender for the title at Blaze of Glory. What are your thoughts?
Zarel nods. "I watched him pull out the stops against my brother last week. He's impressive. He's young, he's respectful, and he's hungry. I've faced him myself prior to winning the title. He's learning, and I respect that. But make no mistake. No matter what happens tonight, when I walk into Blaze of Glory, I'm walking out the same way I came in, as DHW Heavyweight champion."
Zarel turns and walks off, ready to go out and defend the title
