                                                              ________________________________________________

Mizuki's day had started off about as normal as any day did for her. She had gotten out of bed done her makeup and gotten dressed, before walking downstairs, only to be verbally assaulted by her a** hole of a father. She just couldn't do anything right for him. She was either dressing like a skank, or a goth, or a punk, or a hoodlum; she was acting like a brat, or she wasn't helping out enough at home, or she wasn't taking care of her family well enough. No matter what she did, she would never please him. It'd always been like that, and it would probably always be like that. Her mom of course was long gone. Who wouldn't run away from that man? The fact that she had left behind her to deal with the crazy guy meant little to nothing to the young girl anymore. She was so used to just being that girl. The one no one really paid any attention to and was always left behind. It was just her life.

Anyways, after being shouted at by her father for a good twenty minutes, Mizuki finally left the house and started her long walk to school. Her homeroom class had been about as boring as possible. A boy through balled up paper at her and she ignored him, her sensei lectured her on arriving late, and she ignored him, and after some kid through a fit about gum in his perfect hair or something like that, she turned her attention away from the class and to the window. She passed most of her day like this. Math was first, where she was yelled at for not having some assignment that apparently was due, and then History where she was forced to write some boring essay on some war that happened God knows when. She was seriously beginning to wonder why she even came to school anymore. After that everyone was sent off to lunch. She of course had the best seat in the house at lunch, and by that she meant in the hallway outside of the toilets, by herself, as always. After lunch, the rest of her classes passed in a blur. She spent ninety nine percent of them sitting in her seat, next to the window, staring out at the scenery and trying her very best to ignore every dumb a** student throwing things at her, or making fun of her, or making stupid comments at her. Why couldn't they just leave her alone?

After school, things got a little bit better, and definitely more interesting. Her friends, most of them older, had asked her to meet them after school. She had met them in an abandoned classroom right after school. Hari had been the one to call them all there. Hari told them about some weird ritual, 'sachiko' or something like that. Mizuki hadn't seen any harm in doing it. Honestly it would either work or just be another fake ritual littering the internet. She had never thought that anything like this would happen. They'd done the ritual and then only a minute or so later there was a large earthquake. Mizuki vaugely remembered shouting something about getting under desks, and then they were all falling.... through the floor. It was like a dream. The floor literally disappeared from under their feet. Mizuki hadn't even thought that was possible.

Well now... now she was lying on the ground. Her arm was pounding with pain and she was pretty sure she could feel her pulse in her arm. Blue eyes slid open to find herself staring at a dark ceiling. She sat up slowly and assessed her surroundings. She was in a classroom.... of sorts. The desks were all pushed into one corned and the floor had holes here and there in it. It was cold, much to cold for comfort, and Mizu could hear the wind howling outside and the soft pitter patter of rain. Vaugely she could hear a quiet thumping in the distance. She gulped and looked down at her arm to find a huge cut down it and blood oozing slowly from parts of it. She had apparently been out long enough for the wound to partially clot over, but judging from her dizziness and fuzzy feeling in the head, she'd still lost a lot of blood. The wound at least explained the pain and pulsing. Explanations were a good thing. Especially when she had no clue where in the world she was, or if she was even in her world now. Part of her was trying to convince herself that it was all a dream, but the logical side of her said that the pain in her arm was to intense to be a dream.

Slowly she hobbled to her feet. She didn't know where she was, she didn't know how she got here, and she didn't know where her friends were. The only logical thing to do was go and find them, and figure out where the hell they had all ended up. The one thing she was certain of was that her friends were here somewhere. They had all fallen through the same hole in the floor, so they all had to end up in generally the same place. Taking a slow breath she quickly undid her headband and wrapped it around the area of her wound still bleeding. From there, she moved towards the door, cradling her wounded arm.
'Only one way to go.' She told herself silently, before grabbing the door and wrenching it open. She jumped back quickly, but refused to let the scream in her mind, escape her lips. Apparently the.... thing... had been leaning against the door, because when she opened it, in fell what had to have once been a girl. Now it... she.... was a skull with flesh rotting off of it... her... and dried cracked blood everywhere. A pool of dried blood coated the ground around the body.

Taking another deep breath, the young girl scurried forward and tapped the body with her foot. Upon finding that it was most definitely quite dead and wasn't about to come back to life and eat her brains or something, she sighed a sigh of relief. She noted the fact that this weird creepy school was also most liekly filled with corpses, which definitely did not forbode well for her, before stepping daintly over the body and out into the hall. That was when she heard violent screaming that, if she wasn't wrong, sounded like Eiji. Eyes widened and she raced in the direction of the noise.

“Eiji! Eiji! Eiji where are you? I'm coming! Don't let it kill you!..... Whatever it.... is....” The last part of her sentence was more muttered to herself as she paused in a junction. It sounded like his scream was coming from both directions and she didn't know which way to turn. Her fingers twisted into blonde locks and her head twisted back and forth and tilted each way, trying to determine where he was. “Eiji!” She called. With her last call, his screaming suddenly cut off and she gasped. He was.... alright... right? He wasn't dead? He couldn't be dead! She wouldn't allow it! She would not allow any of her friends to join the rest of the damn corpses in this school. As if on cue with her thoughts, she turned one way out of pure guessing and immediately tripped over another corpse.

This one was a lot freshed than the last. It looked as if it had just died. Blood still dripped from wounds in its stomach and chest and there was a pool of still wet blood surrounding it. A pool that Mizuki ended up falling face first into. She coughed and scurried backwards on her hands and feet and her back ran into something squishy. She spun, stumbling to her feet to find herself face to face with guts and body parts of what must have also once been a human being. She gulped and choked down the bile rising in her throat at it all. She gulped, trying to stop herself from panicing. Were one these bodies Eiji? She squeezed her eyes shut, gathering every ounce of courage in her thin body. She had to look more closely at them. Quickly she opened her eyes and stared at the mutilated body covering the wall and ground. She crouched down to get a better look, trying not to gag at the disgusting smell coming from the thing. There! She saw a body part that could only be female. Okay so that body wasn't Eiji or Hotaka, and the flesh surrounding her was too light to be Hari's. She turned to look at the other body and noted the look of horror on the corpse's body, but also noted that face wasn't any of her friend's either.

There was still a chance that Eiji was alive! His scream may have stopped... but that didn't mean he was dead. She bounced to her feet, a renewal of energy filling her. She had to find him and then together they could find everyone else! He was top priority though. He had been the one screaming. She couldn't let herself dwell on the fact that these poor people had been killed by god knows what, and that whatever had killed them was still out there and probably close. If she let herself dwell on that.... well she would probably freak out or something. Dead bodies, that she could mostly deal with.... kinda... but murderers? No thanks. Mizuki was not about to be killed by some creepy dude wandering a weird school that she had somehow ended up in from doing some stupid ritual! Not tonight. Not ever.

On that note, Mizu didn't even know if it was night time. She had looked out the window of the classroom she'd woken up in only briefly. And that had only been to note that it was raining really hard outside but that was about all she'd been able to see. The windows were badly fogged up. With a quiet sigh, she skipped over the dead smooshed mutilated torn apart female body and headed down the hall.
“Eiji? hotaka? Hari? Anyone? Can you hear me??” She screamed, cupping bloody fingers around her mouth to hopefully amplify her voice and be better heard by her friends... and whatever else was out there. The fact that her fingers, and clothes were splatter with other people's blood didn't seem to have any effect on her, strange as that seemed, even to her. She was actually not freaking out. Freak out and you die. That is what she had learned in her life. So she stayed calm on the outside and did her very best to stay rational and logical.

Now if you were a kid that was in a place you didn't know, and had just witnessed something so terrible you started screaming bloody murder.... where would you run too? Where had she run too when her dad got remarried and her witch of a step mother and step siblings came to live with them? She'd run to the door. She'd try to run away from everything that was bothering her, she'd try to escape. Eiji had to be the same right? Run to the door..... What if he'd actually left the school though? She'd never find him! And if she was wrong and then left the school to try and find him when in reality he was still traisping around the demented hallways somewhere.... well she'd be lost and alone and she wouldn't be able to hold her calm forever. Gulping she started looking for stairs or doors or anything but hallways and classrooms.

As she wandered aimlessly and helplessly, looking for something she didn't know where to find. She didn't even know if she was on the ground level or the top level or the basement. She had no idea where she was. She had no idea how many levels this school had or if there was even a possible way to get to a ground level. So far she had found no stairs or anything to go anywhere. Just as she was beginning to think her search was hopeless and that she was truly alone in this school....place...world...universe... wherever the hell she was, just as she thought she would never find her friends, she felt a tug on the back of her jacket. She froze.

“Eiji....Hotaka....Hari.... Is that one of you guys?” She asked in a quiet whisper. Fear gripped her heart as no answer came. Her friends would answer her. She knew they would. Quickly she spun around wrenching her jacket free of whatever had got her... only to find herself face to face with thin air. She gulped, spun back around, and started running as if the devil himself was on her tail. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to fight off the panic. This was no time to panic. This was no time at all to freak out and stop thinking.

It was only when she was suddenly tumbling down stairs, screaming the entire way, that she realized she had, in fact, been running blindly in a place she didn't know. Dumb! Dumb dumb dumb Mizuki. She could have run into anything! Her mouth clamped shut, cutting off her scream as she came to a stop sprawled across the floor at the bottom of a flight of stairs. She rolled over to look back up the stairs but saw nothing. She had been running blindly from nothing. She groaned, and pushed herself to her feet.
'What's another few painful bruises to my body in a dangerous situation like this eh?' She thought sarcastically to herself.

She worried her lip as she started off down the hallway she had come to. As she rounded the corner, she heard Eiji shouting, and then blue eyes spotted him....yelling at a door. She shot into a run and darted down the hall towards him, when she reached him, she didn't slow to a stop until she was suddenly clinging to his waist. She was so happy to see somebody alive and human and her friend. She did not like being alone here, especially when she knew her friends were off by themselves too. They were her friends! Hers! She was not going to let some damn murderer or whatever kill them! Now that she had found Eiji, she wasn't letting him out of her sight ever again!

“Eiji! You're alive! I was so worried! Are you okay? Did you see....” She quickly trailed off and let go of him. “Er... I mean....anyways.... Have you seen Hari or Hotaka or anyone at all?” She rubbed her arm, wincing at the wound slicing it up. She wasn't about to finish the first question that had been on her tongue. She was pretty sure asking 'did you see the dead bodies?' was not a great opener.... especially if he hadn't seen them. No point in freaking him out if he was totally unaware of what was lurking in these hallways. “Are you hurt? I heard you screaming. I was worried something had.... er.... killed you...” She muttered sheepishly. She honestly just did not want to be alone in this place.

Gracie smiled widely when he said he'd missed her, said it twice in fact. She giggled and tackled him, pressing a bunch of kisses all over his face before pressing a few more forceful ones to his lips. Snuggling against him happily she rolled her eyes and flicked his nose. "Fiiiinneee you butt, choose the boring option." She said, giggling and bouncing off of the bed in a flurry of pink. "Lemme go find you one, then we can do whatever you like my love." She whispered, leaning down to press a rather long kiss to his lips. She scurried from the room the moment she'd torn herself away from his lips.

She found her way into the kitchen without turning on any lights. She hopped along and climbed onto one of the counters before standing up to reach one of the top cabinets in the corner above the fridge. She grumbled under her breath. "Why did I decide to put the ******** potions most useful in Dom's life in the hardest place for me to reach?" She stretched up on her tippytoes and reached as far as she could. Her fingers brushed against the cabinet door but she still wasn't quite close enough. She muttered, continue to mutter quiet swears under her breath as she scooted to the very edge of the counter and reached with all of her stretchiness towards the cabinet. "Almost there......" She whispered, reaching with all her might.

Just as her fingers grabbed onto the cabinet her foot lost its grip on the counter and she swayed eerily on the edge. A scream slid from her lips as she finally lost total balance and went tumbling from the counter. Her head hit the opposite counter as she fell and she landed on the ground with a loud thud and quieter groan. If I lay my нεα∂ down, will you α∂мιяε

Michelle listened to his questions as she pulled her wand from her pocket and twirled in between her fingers. She knew better than to argue with him even though she could easily do wandless, sometimes easier than using a wand, but in one part he was right. Whatever awaited them above, she wasn't going to let Vincent know she could use wandless yet. "The note is to my sister from her dead mother. That's more than invasion of privacy Jonathan." She growled under her breath. She twirled the locket in her other hand and staring at the twirling picture of her sister's mother. "As far as I know Vincent was normal until I joined the family. When he took me in his wife learned about magic and fled in fear of it. She got into a car crash the night she left. She died then and there." Michelle paused, licking her lips. But Vincent lied didn't he? He could've lied about her death too.... "He loved her a lot, but the day she left he acted like he hated her...." She sighed and rubbed her face with her hands, trying to think. "I don't know what happened. I only know what he told me and what i saw in the two weeks she was there when I was..... Ummm she loved Olyvia and she never seemed scared ever. "

Michelle paused, trying to remember what else she knew. She remembered one of the last days she was there. They'd been sitting in the front room of the cottage. Olyvia had been crawling around, chasing her kitten and she'd been sitting next to Isenya. She been babbling on about her father. At the time she'd still been the loving doting daughter she'd always been... "I told her something about my dad.... and that night her and Vincent got into a fight.... "

Michelle trailed off and grabbed the locket from around her wrist. "Sorry Lyv." She muttered under her breath before breaking the glass once again and taking the note out. She quickly unfolded it and read through it. She licked her lips quietly as she finished the letter, confirming what she'd thought of. "She wanted to find my father and either get a legitimate reason for why he left me.... or have him committed for child abuse and neglect..... Vincent told her she was stupid and when she still didn't give up.... well I think you can guess what happened."

She quietly folded the note up. "She left to go to her mother's house. She left the note for both of us..., promising she'd come back as soon as she had a safe place for us to stay......" She held up the note for him to see and pointed to the top where there was a small smudge next to "To my dearest daughter". "There used to be an s there." She gulped, trying to remember everything about the two weeks before Olyvia's mother left. "Lyv wasn't old enough to read when she left. She must have left the note for me so I'd know..... so I'd be able to keep Lyv safe...."

For a brief moment, Michelle had the small hope that the woman was still alive, but she shook her head with a small sad smile. If she was alive, she would have come back. It's not a clue about where he is... but interesting." She said quietly. Her voice sounded cold as she quietly folded the letter and shoved it and the locket into her pocket. She was shoving every emotion she had clouding her mind, deep deep inside and locking it up. She couldn't have emotions right now. She had a job to do and emotions clouded judgement and made things sloppy. Emotions were dangerous and weak. She gestured to the stairs silently.

                                                      "Let's go...."

I'm always ṡ¢яεαмιиģ my lungs out 'til my head starts รקเภภเภﻮ☩
                                                            Won't keep my νøι¢ε down☩
Know the words I รקєคк are the τнøυģнτṡ I think out ใ๏ย๔☩

Jaslyn waited around for a long time in the freezing cold. She waited until the sun began to set and her fingers began to go numb. She kept telling herself that he was probably just finishing up an essay for class or something and would be right there.... but those excuses in her mind began to fade out as the time slowly passed. Finally, as the sky began to darken greatly, she had to accept it. He wasn't coming. She could try and tell herself that her letter had never gotten to him, but she wasn't stupid. She knew it had been received. Her precious little kitten had never failed to deliver a letter anywhere in the entire school. Never.

This left only one conclusion for the young girl. Chance had stood her up. Not only that, but he had stood her up when it was freezing cold outside. He must have known she'd wait for as long as possible right? He must have known she'd nearly try and give herself frost bite out here in hopes he'd show his face.

White locks of hair bounced around her face as she shook her head slowly. She hadn't seen him in basically a year, and then he stands her up? Really? She was getting rather irked by the silly boy now, and she didn't like it. She'd spent her summer letting go of all those bad feelings she didn't want them brought up again! With a small sigh, she headed into the castle, stumbling slightly from numb legs. Her fingers could barely wrap around the door handle to pull the door open.

The snake was so cold, she wasn't even aware of the tears slowly falling from her eyes and dripping down her face. She didn't notice them at all, not until they were coming so fast that her eyesight blurred and she stumbled into a wall. She whimpered from the pain of the hit but kept going. She could make it to the dungeon and common room right? Wrong! A few moments later she stumbled into another wall as she tried to round a corner, and then another and another and another and another and then she slowly slid down to sit on the ground. She was giving up. It was obvious she wasn't going to be going anywhere anytime soon if she could barely see to move or function.

All the tiny white haired girl could hope for was that no one would find her here crying her eyes out. She was supposed to be a stoic cold hearted Slytherin, not a crying mess. So a stupid boy stood her up. She'd live. It just surprised her, coming from him. That's all. And it hurt.... but a lot could change in a year she supposed.

Songpaw's mouth opened wide in a long yawn as she woke up from a deep sleep. She glanced around the Medicine Cat den but found herself alone. With a tiny sigh the young apprentice rolled out of her nest and pulled herself to her feet. She didn't notice it, but her fur had small twigs and leaves sticking out of it as well as some sand. She yawned loudly once again before trotting out of the den and blinked wide blue eyes in the bright sunlight that accosted her.

When her eyesight had adjusted she looked around camp. Her paws unconsciously brought her towards the fresh-kill pile where she found a small mouse to enjoy. Her stomach rumbled appreciatively at the smell of food. She looked around camp once again and spotted her mentor sitting by himself. She purred happily and barreled towards him, carrying her mouse. When she had reached him, she flopped onto the sandy ground and looked up at him.

"Gooood Morning!" She chirped happily, swishing her tail in the sand and continued to watch him for a few moments before finally digging into her breakfast. A simple good morning was all she needed to say. She was always more of the silent type anyways. Being silent gave her time to think. She loved PuddleClan. She really did. It was the only home she had ever known. But all 6 moons of her life, she had spent wondering where she had really come from. Her only clue was where Snowfang had found her. She would never leave PuddleClan not for anything or anyone.... but she still wanted some answers.
