Rivermist lazed on her side in the nursery, short tail flicking every now and then as her ears perked to the sounds of her kits playing. It seemed like just yesterday they were squirming newborns, already time had passed, their eyes were open and their limbs working non stop. The grey queen had to wonder how other's put up with this, she definitely wasn't the patient kind of mother.... but she had new instincts and feelings she never knew were possible. Still, the occasional stern command ushered from her mouth, but her head simply flopped back down into the moss lined nest as the kits were in no real immediate danger. Besides.... Longclaw was there too, as always, since he never seemed to leave her side since she became heavy with kit. Owlkit sat washing his paws, pretending to be behaving after his mom's last snap. His large wide sea green eyes glanced around the nursery, finally settling on the entrance. He wanted to go outside more, play with his brother and his dad, or torment his sleepy sister, but every time he tried, its like Rivermist's radar went off and pinned him back into place. He waited instead for the sounds of her breathing to be more calm and relaxed, hoping she had slipped into a cat nap and began trying to creep his way towards the entry of the nursery.

 Longclaw had been a very attentive (to the point of annoying) expectant father, he's catered to every craving Rivermist had, fish, birds, whatever she'd wanted, he only left her side to hunt for her. When she'd been giving birth he'd been rather put out that she's attacked him but seeing the three fine kittens she'd borne his heart had swelled with pride, both for the kittens and for Rivermist for producing them. He proved to be one of the 'cool' fathers, letting their kittens play on and around him, using him for pouncing practice. When not attending Rivermist he either stood, or lay, guard outside the nursery, anyone wanting in (or out, yes he's looking at you Owlkit) would have to get past him. However the constant guarding of Rivermist and the kittens meant he only slept when the kittens did, in very short naps, not long enough mostly, for a large adult cat. As it was today, he had noticed Rivermist looking weary, he couldn't imagine that laying in the den, aside from toileting trips, was that exhausting however he smiled as he looked into the nursery, spotting Owlkit creeping. Getting up and sticking his head into the nursery entrance, "You know your mother doesn't like you venturing outside when she's asleep" he said, trying to be stern but failing, he understood the impatience of kittens. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sparrowkit yawned, her mother seemed to fall into a nap but Sparrowkit was just waking up, she spied her little brother creeping towards the entrance and she stood up carefully, shaking dust from her pelt and paws before daintily springing forwards. "HEY" she whispered hoarsely "mommy says you're not allowed!" she hissed, not wanting to wake her mother up, wide eyes looking at her father's face appearing in the entrance of the den.

Ravenkit was sprawled out on his back in the middle of the nursery his deep blue eyes staring up unblinking. The tip of his tail was twitching madly as his mind raced with thoughts. He, like Owlkit, were eager to be outside, and he was devising a plan. In his mind it was brilliant, but then again he hadn't been in this world long enough to know what a brilliant plan was.
He nodded to himself when, in his mind, he had tied up all of the loose ends. He then rolled over onto his back to see what his brother was doing so he could get him to help. He purred lightly to himself when he saw Owlkit creeping his way towards the entrance. He lightly padded over to him and hunched down, "Good. Now lets-"
The fur on his spine stood on end as their sister seemed to just appear beside them. "Shhh!" he hissed, grabbing her head with his paw and smashing it to his chest in an attempt to silence her, "Don't you mess this up for us-"
His head snapped back to the entrance when he heard his father's voice, his ears laying flat against his head in defeat. He growled softly and let go of his sister. "Nice going, Sparrowkit." he muttered lowly before raising his voice to address his father, "But you're outside, Longclaw!" He got up and pranced over, butting heads with him in attempt to soften him up, "We'd be ok!"Fea Line Sorry, Devin got sick u.u;

Frowning at his sister, he waved his paws at her to make her be quiet before squeaking. "You are going to wake her up!" he hissed, though his brother seemed to have it under control at least.
Laughing, he turned his attention back to his dad and hobbled on over, trying to be sneaky but he was just getting too excited. "Longclaw lets go hunting, or exploring!" he mewled excitedly as he joined his brother, wiggling his little white butt in between the massive fluff of his father's long grey striped fur on his face, trying to climb up to the top of his head, using Ravenkit as a sort of step ladder.Rivermist had managed to cat nap, or at least was. Her ears kept flickering to the sound of kits and now to the voice of Longclaw as he poked his head into the nursery... yet again. With a groan and an over dramatic loud breath, she flopped over on her other side, attempting to ignore them for the time being.
However, now with her face turned away from them, she dared to let a smile spread across her muzzle over her new family.
