To start off, coming into the group, I am really surprised to see how old some threads in this group are, and, didn't realize I'd be the first to post in the subforum since 2010, but, here goes.
Kurt Busch (2004 NASCAR Cup champion) is going to attempt both the Indianapolis 500 and Coca Cola 600 on the same day. Being a Kurt Busch fan, this gives me more reason to watch the Indy 500. Thoughts on the double?

Yeah, we're an old guild. This section was never busy, even during our heyday. sweatdrop
I think it's good that he's running both. Indy car is getting desperately needed attention plus it's just a good story.
I listen to NASCAR radio on SiriusXM, and some of the people calling in were "When Kurt wins the 500 will they let him leave right away to make it to Charlotte?" When Kurt wins? It's his first race! I think if he can finish on the lead lap it would be a victory. Although that track does have a history of surprising winners.

Not hating but I don't think he is going to Winn the 500. He could not keep out of the wall in practice. I do not remember it he has to go to the back. The 600 is a whole other story that I have to do more research on.

Yea, I don't think Kurt's gonna win the 500. If anything, this is just a big publicity stunt for him, bringing attention to Indycar, and to the Armed Forces Foundation, which Kurt is a big sponsor of. If he wins one of the 2 races, I'll be surprised.

Sucks about his engine failure Would've loved to see Kurt pull all 1100 miles and see if he can repeat a 6th place finish haha
