Max doesn't care much for boats. That much had become evident to Wei Xiao a long time ago. He sat, sad and whimpering here and there, as Wei rowed his way through the misty waterways between islands. He had been tipped off by one of his litter-mates that a man with a powerful weapon had been camping on Tsuki shores, and that the man wiedling it was a wanted war criminal from years past. Max had volunteered to come with his partner, but he was regretting that keenly. Ears flat on his head and tongue out, the direwolf was eager to hear it when Wei Xiao said they were about to make land. Max stood up and leaped to the dock, shaking his body and wagging his tail excitedly as Wei tied down the small canoe and stepped up beside him. He was fully loaded with weapons, small and large, hidden even in plain sight all over his coat and jeans. Max and Wei both sniffed the air, walking forward until they caught the only out of place scent, a whiff of human. They silently took off before anyone could have seen them. The journey was short but sweet, Max and Wei both consumed by almost bloodlust as they leaped from tree to tree, not mirroring the others path but moving around the same speed. They came to a stop near each other in a tree, and saw their prey there. Wei had his wolf stay still with a simple birdcall. The man, sitting at a fire, didn't even flinch. Wei lined up Bianca and looked through the scope. He loosed a bolt silently. The man fell over, a cross bow bolt in his neck. Max got to him first, clamping his jaws on the other side of his neck to finish him. Wei walked over to search the camp, and sure enough, there it was on a tree. Shibuki, one of the seven swords! He'd read about it once in the academy, and knew only that he had to sign his name... right there on the handle. His blood formed ink, and that ink formed the pact that shibuki wouldn't harm him, and that he was it's master. He sat down, absently listening to Max feasting as he looked over the weapon, getting used to it's size and weight and examining the tags. He pulled a tag free and noticed it was no different than a normal tag. He also noted specially tied string on the weapons. He could slip a tag onto a projectile easily with this weapon, even from his bat. That, would be his ace in the hole. Or at least one of many.
