RULES

Very Similar to RolePlay City

Properly Label Your RP Thread! : All threads must be labeled. How is this achieved? Place the topic type of your thread in parenthesis or brackets after it's official name. Ex: The Enigmatic Mansion (A Mansion Fantasy Roleplay). If you do not have an official name label the thread with the genre in parenthesis or brackets followed by at least one random letter or number.
NOTE : Since this is an easy rule to break all members will be given 1 week from the date the thread was created before a moderator fixes the title. A second violation of this rule results in a fine.

No Asterisks! : Any use of asterisks (these: "**" ) and/or the use of all substitutes for asterisks is prohibited in RP threads unless authorized for an alternative use by the thread owner.

Be Literate!: Proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, conventions, so on and so forth all the things that have to do with literate writing should be considered when posting anywhere in the guild. Being able to read and write properly is essential!

Be Respectful! : Treat others as individuals who have the right to their own beliefs, ideas, and feelings.

No Godmodding! : No Godmodding. You must always give the opponent a chance to respond to your actions, unless otherwise instructed by your partner or the rules of the thread.

No Advertising Other Threads: This goes back to the whole "Be Respectful". People work just as hard, if not harder, on their threads and they don't need people stealing the spotlight on their own carefully prepared stage.

No Stealing! : Don't imitate characters created by someone else, such as another gaian or an anime, unless the thread calls for it or you have the creator's permission.

Don't Put Words In Other's Brains or Mouthes : Don't read other's minds in an RP without their permission or unless they themselves wrote out their thoughts. Writing dialogue, mental or verbal, for other's characters is prohibited as well, except with the other person's permission.

So here's how the rules and penalty system work...

wahmbulance Banning is a serious matter. Members become ex-members at the discretion of the Captain and Vice Captain. If you have a reasonable explanation as to why you broke a particular rule, contact The Dreaded Warning with a clear explanation. Reasonable forgiveness is possible.

wahmbulance A violation of any rule in which you refuse to pay the fine is an automatic ban. All violation payments are to be made to The Dreaded Warning. Once a fine is paid that member may resume posting in the guild. Continuing to post with outstanding fines may result in banning.

wahmbulance The number of times a single member violates the rules in the last 30 calendar days serves as a multiplier for the initial fine of the rule that member violated. For example, if a member violates the rules on 2 separate occasions the first violation's specified fine will be multiplied by 1 and the second violation's specified fine will be multiplied by 2. The multiplier is reset after 30 calendar days have passed, which is started the day after the last violation.

wahmbulance Violation records are private and expunged after 3 months to the exact or nearest number date of the last violation. Ex: Violations that occurred on January 31st will be expunged on April 30th.

wahmbulance Automatic Ban r/t TOS - Some situations call for automatic ban and will result in the ex-member also being reported to Gaia Online. Actions that result in automatic banning can be found in Gaia Online's Terms of Service agreement, specifically under items "a" and "b" of "Prohibited Conduct".

Try your hand at this...

This is a story generator.
It was brought to my attention by BeanieBaggie when she posted a thread named "Ey I got some rough ideas for RP's".
The ideas are setup in a structured fashion.

Example:
"This is a psychological revelation piece with an undercurrent about discovery and the pointlessness of life. The story is about a band of construction workers. It starts on an arid planet. A powerful grimoire plays an important role."

"This is a killer-on-the-loose with a strong theme of the dangers of self-expression. The story is about an alchemist who is mysteriously connected to a worried beggar. It takes place in a gun shop in Mexico City. The generation gap plays a major part in this story."

"The story is about a corporate official who is in debt to a cyberpunk. It starts in a university town in an advanced police state. The story begins with a prayer. The rise of global media plays a major part in this story."

"This is an epic about the need for change and growth. The story is about a zoologist and a herbologist who is in debt to an astrologer. It starts in a magical universe. The effect of globalization on culture plays a major role in this story."

"This is a coming-of-age tale with an undercurrent about trust and the nobility of man. The story is about a circuit priest. It starts in a junkyard. The critical element of the story is temptation."

"The story is about a chemical engineer who was once married to an environmentalist. It starts in a world-spanning nation on a prairie planet. Technology getting out of hand is a major issue of the story."

Its actually enjoyable to click the generator and read all day.
