Over the past few months Keira had found herself spending more and more time with Simon Semta. At first it was just a few run ins at a few bars or even at a similar restaurant. And then they were put on a few missions together based off of how efficient of a team they were. Little had changed between them except they knew each other more. They still acted just as rude and always seemed to actually dislike each other. Keira wouldn't say it to his face but she did at one point decide she enjoyed his company. It was nice to be able to sit down and despise the world with someone else. So when Keira had been handed a scroll and told she was being sent off on a mission with Simon a faint smile actually touched her face. The trip wasn't going to be a long one so Keira did not bother packing a load of things. This mission also wasn't going to require much of anything other than diplomatic appearances and maybe a little bit of sweet talking.
A map had been included with the scroll as well as the mission orders. Keira met up with Simon before even bothering to read what it was. It was over a few beers that Keira even brought it up. "So we've got two towns, one up the river and one down the river. The north place is apparently loaded and very prosperous, south being the less fortunate. The North is lobbying for a dam to be built in order to generate even higher profits." Keira paused and took a ip of her generic beer to wet her whistle before continuing. She had been thinking about which side to aid for a bit now and had yet to come to a decision. If the other village was really that destitute maybe it was a good thing they'd have to move to another place. Perhaps they could even find better conditions to live in. At the same time Keira didn't think it was right for the rich to be able to make a decision for greed that affected so many living beings. "It's down to us to decide what goes down of course. I'd say we check out both the towns and see what's really up before making a decision, yeah?" Keira said, deciding what to wear to the classier town. There was no way she'd fit in to a place like that dressed as she was; faded leather jacket, ripped jeans and dirty boots. They wouldn't listen to some lowly plebian and Keira had an idea.
