Yawning, slowly slinking out from her place in the warriors den, Emberstreak padded out to a sunny spot and rasped a pink tongue over ember dark red paws. Blinking her olive eyes around the camp, she watched for anyone else awake or just emerging. She itched for a good splash down in the river, maybe catch a few juicy fish or two to bring back to the freshkill pile. "Wakey wakey sleepy heads! Someone come fish with me!" she mrrowed in amusement, tail flicking as she went into a deep stretch, extending her long slender forelegs before working out the back ones.

Koispots had emerged from the den awhile before others, deciding to do so in order to secure himself the best light spots. He was laying on his back, stomach fully exposed to the sun's rays, one paw tossed over his eyes, and his chest rising and falling rhythmically. He was fighting sleep, letting his mind dance in and out of consciousness, attempting to will his lazy bones to up and move. The sun was just too warm, too delightful against his fur and skin. How would he turn away from an absolutely perfect spot?

His ears twitched at a sound, this particular sound actually waking his floating mind. Something about fish? Why, he was practically named for the position! His wiggling ears seemed to run down his body to the very tip of his tail and before he knew it he was up.

He spat when a leg didn't catch him right and he took a moment to stretch back into it. Curses he had been laying in that position too long. As he was stretching out his stiffness he looked around him with his clear as water blue eyes to find the source of his wakefulness. His eyes landed on an ember red female- named perfectly he would think- who was stretching herself out. Yes, that is who had been beckoning him with her words.

He straightened and slowly made his way over to her, not seeming in any rush or on the same energy level as the other. When he had gotten close enough he swept his paw in front of him and gave her a slight bow of the head, "I feel as though I have been summoned!" he purred playfully at her, "When do we embark, M'Lady?"

The sound of another meow caught her attention, as she turned her olive eyes towards the slowly awakening Koispots. The white and orange spotted tomcat had been lazing about in the best sunny spot, why had she not been surprised? He seemed about as lazy as a fish, though his physique betrayed any such thoughts. Still, he'd willingly offered to accompany her hunting and she wasn't about to pass that up.

"Oh great! You are awake. I had thought I would have to hunt by myself." she mrrowed in laughter in her semi-high pitched vocals that were, for the most part, unmistakable. Padding over to his side, she touched his shoulder with her tail tip, beckoning him to follow as she bounced over towards the camp exit. "Come on now, before the fish have all swam off!" she laughed again. Her fiery attitude tended to lend itself to a lot of energy which was often displayed by much laughter and mrrows of amusement during peaceful times.

Koispots huffed playfully at her words, “Hunt fish by yourself? Never. Not while Koispots is around.” He lifted the right corner of his lips, giving her a lopsided grin as she passed him by, “It's my specialty. I couldn't pass up such an offer.”

He watched her bounce towards the exit, shaking her head slightly. The two were certainly opposites, though that didn't take away from any of the enjoyment of being around the firey female. While his gait was more of an easy flow compared to her bounding steps, he still managed to keep up with her very well. A rumble of a chuckle filled his throat at her words, “Yes, we'd better hurry before the water dries up as well.” He teased, flicking his paw at the back of her leg as he followed her.

In attempt to remove himself from any comebacks from his motion, he weaved his way around her to place himself a safe distance in front of her and hopefully away from any possible 'attacks'. He then glanced over his shoulder back at her still keeping up the pace, “Did you have a spot in mind?” he mewed innocently back at her as though nothing had happened.

An exaggerated meow escaped her lips at the mention of the water drying up, following by a laugh. "We couldn't have that! If the river dried up... Riverclan would be out of food." she mrrowed, batting at him as he darted in front of her after batting at her leg. "Ow!" she feigned. "What was that for! So mean!" she teased, faking a pout.

As she did so, she narrowed her eyes on his tail, sneaking up to bat at it playfully before laughing and darting away from him, out of the camp exit and out onto the grounds. Pausing, she parted her mouth, letting the scents drift over her pallet, before kneading her paws into the grass impatiently. "Come on then slow poke! Last one there is crowfood!" she mrrowed in laughter.

“I'm sure if the river dried up we could do like the kittypets do and eat their dried up...” Koispots gaged before he could finish the sentence. Even if he meant it as a sly joke he couldn't imagine himself eating whatever that dried up mess was that they ate. He had heard the rumors, didn't know it for himself, but they sounded absolutely crazy and disgusting.

He laughed at her as she pouted at him, “Such a little whiner. That wasn't mean, that was me trying to toughen you up, little softpaws.” he smirked at the name, turning his head away to watch where he was going. He wasn't keeping a fast pace, but he wasn't expecting her to come back at him after that little pout fit. When he felt something smack into his tail, it fluffed up a bit causing his head to shoot in her direction. He gave off a soft embarrassed growl for being caught off guard like that. He was still groggy even with his playfulness.

He slithered out of the camp, pausing right in front of it to give off a massive yawn. His lips curled back revealing a line of teeth before he smacked his lips together. It was a perfect day for fishing, cloudy just enough to make the fish come out, but with enough rays peaking out from the cloud cover to keep his coat warm. Noticing this, he flopped onto his back rolling in the dirt to prepare it for their possibly long day till her words hit his ears. They twitched as he glared over at her, “Such disgusting words from a lady!” he hissed teasingly. He rolled back onto his feet walking over to her, “I am surprised anyone lets a dirty mouth like that groom them.”

He booped her on the nose with his paw before turning away and looking at the land before them, “Did you have a particular spot in mind today?” he questioned, letting his eyes take in the land around them.

Emberstreak paused and waited for Koispots to finish rolling around in the dirt. He was such a lazy thing, her paws itched to get into the water. They kneaded furiously at the ground as he took his sweet time, his playful taunts erupting loud laughter like meows from her throat.

"Oh you have no idea what kind of mouth I have..." she grinned flirtatiously, padding over and sliding in close to him, letting her sides brush against his. Her long tail twined playfully into his. "I have lots of toms wanting to groom me, mousebrain. And don't tell me you think crowfood is a dirty word. I can think of plenty others." she grinned, bounding away from him, only to stop and bounce playfully in one spot.

Her olive eyes narrowed around at their surroundings, ears pricked to the sound of the rippling river that flowed all around either side of Riverclan camp before merging back into one stream. "Well we can go to that side.... ooor that side...... or even that side. Take your pick." she laughed, eyeing him with a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

Koispots could tell that his unhurried nature was getting to the female warrior. He tried to stifle his entertain purr as he watched her knead the dirt impatiently. He wondered how this female's heart didn't just keel over from how much energy was pumping through her. He knew that if he had that much energy he'd take a few sprints around the place to keep from going crazy. He licked the furr on his chest thanking his heart for being a calm one.

Koispots was taken aback by her words, but didn't let it reflect on his face. He couldn't help the soft purr that stirred in his throat she she slid up against his side. She certainly was a flirty thing! No wonder so many males melted in her path. He wasn't particularly interested in anything like that, but didn't mind the different type of attention. No, if anything happened between them their kits would be the most messed up energy level of kits...

He shook his head as she bounded away, clearing his mind from the exchange. She made his way after her in a slower pace, but keeping up enough that he was still able to catch her teasing statement. He picked up the pace and rolled his eyes playfully at her, “Right. What a professional fish hunter you are!” He brushed past her to take the lead since she didn't offer much help. He opened his mouth slightly in order to take in the scents around him. He was headed to his favorite spot, but wanted to be sure no one else had fished the area recently. He had guessed right, from the smells they were the first ones out.

By the way his pace had picked up and his body had gone ridged he was in the mode. The lazy Koispots was suddenly a warrior ready to bring his Clan home the best possible morning meal. He passed by open river banks without a second glance and instead pushed ahead to an area with taller grasses. Only then did he slow and wait for her to catch up. A few trees' branches were reaching over the water, shading the space that Koispots had chosen for their hunting.

“On cooler days when you don't want to get your paws wet this spot is nice. The grass gives you cover for awhile so you can walk up and down the river bank.” he motioned his head towards the water. “I personally like this area because the water is shallow far enough out for a good chase if needed.” his eyes sparkled and he purred at the thought. Though it was better to catch your prey as silently as possible in order to keep others from noticing, there was a time or two Koispots enjoyed a good chase down.

“You're welcome to give the spot a try.”
