Modern Kemeticism is the phrased used when dealing with Kemetic practices that have little to none historical background.
One of the big issues we see within the Kemetic community is community. Most of the Kemetic holidays from Ancient Egypt are festivals for specific deities. And to be Kemetic you don't even need to have a relationship with a deity.
But then why Kemeticism?
It could be because you like the mythology. It could be that you like the concepts. There could be a number of reasons. I'm just saying that the gods don't have to be the reason. Live by ma'at. Don't be a d**k.
So in addition to Wep Ronpet, a couple Kemetics started adding other holidays that either are not deity specific or are to help "fill the gap". These holidays came about from a common topic that comes about when other people start talking about holidays. I remember back in December there was talk about having a December Kemetic holiday. "Christmas is everywhere! Wiccans and Heathans have Yule!" Yadda yadda yadda.
