Sterling is an exceed who acts like a delinquent and dresses like one as well. despite this, he is very kind hearted and he is very protective of Yukio and would attack anyone who would harm him. Sterling hates "cocky people",Though Yukio seems to be the only acception as Sterling believes that Yukio is simply being "honest" when he is being cocky, and is shown to be hotheaded and belligerent, always wanting to fight or compete with others long with Yukio. He reveals that he hates liars more than anything as he believes as he considers lying "the biggest way to get cocky." In spite of his negative qualities, Sterling is not without his own code of honor in that he never harms innocent bystanders, or allowing them to come to harm in either. However, he typically claims such conduct for very personal reasons, like the perpetrator being "too cocky", or that civilians were in the way of battle.
Background/Biography:
Abandoned as an egg by his parents, Pantherlilly one day found him as an egg all by himself while he was on a mission with Gajeel. Not wanting to leave the unborn Exceed alone to be eaten by predators, Pantherlilly took the egg with him back to Fairy Tail. As luck would have it, it would be Gajeel's son's birthday the next day, so Pantherlilly already had a gift for Yukio. Nine days after Yukio's birthday, the exceed was born and because of his silver fur, Yukio named his new companion Sterling. As the two grew up with one another, Sterling started making himself like Yukio, a delinquent as he felt like in a way, Yukio was his older brother. Since the day he was born, Sterling and Yukio have been on many missions together and are best friends as well as partners.
