Simple Version
Traits: solitary, constantly hungry, combative/competitive, poor conversationalist, brutally honest
Likes: Swimming, being in water, playing in storms, fighting and good arguments, loves exploring, adores water in all its forms
Dislikes: Terrified of heights, dislikes being away from the water, getting trounced, impossible odds, bright lights.
Bad Habits: capsizing boats, tends to look down on those smaller then him
More Complicated Traits
He dislikes being in bright light, when traveling above water or on land, he tends wait for night. His parents have hypothesized that this dislike of bright lights stems from his method of birth.
He has always loved being in the water, but after his accident (see Background) he now hates flying above land and just dislikes land in general.
He stays underwater as long as possible and tends to not leave the water.
He will leave the water to fight or grab food, but he won't go far from the waters edge. He will also leave the water to enjoy a rain storm.
He likes fighting and if he loses, but its a close match, he is still happy. He will have found a rival to match himself against and check his growth. However he hates getting completely trounced cause it means that he didn't even have a chance.
There is an argument among his two brothers that his poor conversational skills are the cause of his solitariness or if its the other way around. Either way he is usually alone and has terrible conversational skills. He doesn't see the point in lying to make others feel better and if asked, will give his opinion. His opinions tend to be short and rude. He doesn't really care about others opinions and isn't bothered when his words upsets others. He also dislikes his naps being disturbed. He does like to know news of the world, but when he swims under ships, those on board tend to freak out a bit. For those that don't automatically get aggressive, he'll swim above and ask for news or he'll climb/ fly to the deck and ask questions. His method of asking is a rude though. He tends to keep asking questions until he gets answered or he gets bored, which ever is first. When he has no more questions or he gets bored, he leaves by diving back under the water without any warning.
This is a Orakovan in the prime of his life, he is middle aged and looking to strengthen his magic and toughen up even more. He is considering becoming a Khehorian to become even stronger, but is not sure if he truly wants to do this yet.
Biography/Background:
Not in any clan, he enjoys being alone and swimming far distances too much.
Parents: Father Gaili, Mother Peisio
His parents are still alive, but he never talks to them cause they don't approve of him riling up the Magescians.
Clutch mates: 2 clutch mates both male Gaili, both of them are normal size and they try to keep in contact, but its hard to keep track of him
Hatched from an egg that was bigger then his siblings. A month after his siblings had hatched, he still hadn't so much as twitched. His mother talked to the egg and discovered that he was completely asleep and actually wasn't really aware of the outside. The parents discussed what to do and decided to take him to the nearest shaman and ask him what to do. The shaman looked at the egg and cracked it open. The cracking of the egg spilled him onto the ground, rudely waking him up. His first reaction was to growl at the tall shadows that had woken him up and attempt to go back to sleep. He would have gone back to sleep except he was hungry and his parents had food. Newly born, he was almost the same size as his older siblings. His parents were happy that all their eggs were finally hatched, but Imoogi wasn't happy about being woken up and placed into this bright world. As Orakoi, he was always hungry. After that point his parents never had any free time, because he ate more than his two siblings combined, so they had to hunt enough to feed what felt like 5 hungry Orakoi. He grew quickly and started wandering away from the nest looking for food when he could keep to his feet for over an hour. As he was just a baby he had no clue how to hunt, so he usually ended up eating whatever plants where nearby while he waited for his parents to return with food.
One time, when he and his siblings were all bigger, they wandered off and got lost. Their parents had a complete beak down when they returned to find an empty nest. They searched frantically before coming across the three Orakoi sleeping in the nest of another set of Khehora parents who where amused at the wandering children who had curled up around the unhatched eggs.
When his siblings got into trouble he had usually lead them to it and started the trouble. His parents were exasperated at their oldest child causing problems and then getting his younger siblings involved. They were glad when he decided to start exploring after reaching the Orakoir stage. He left the nest and returned sporadically with news of the fights he had gotten into and the places he had seen.
However, one time when he was a young Orakkovan he ran into trouble he couldn't get out of. He was exploring in the middle of a desert when lightning struck out of a clear sky. He crashed down to earth but the lightning continued to strike near him. He would have died had not a magescian mage come along and used the earth to hide him. The Kiandri dragons who had originally struck him with lightning came down to where the earth shielded him and pounded on it trying to break through. When they couldn't, they got bored and left. Since it took a couple of hours for the Kiandri dragons to get bored and leave, he was trapped under rock. The magscian mage came over once the dragons had flown off and reliased him and healed him. It was dovaa hybrid that had helped him. The unknown dovaa lady mage apologized for not being able to do more but that she was too weak to take on 5 fully grown Kiandris at this point in time. She healed him up to the point where he could walk and then they walked out of the desert to the ocean where they parted ways.
The lightning strike has left him with both a fear of flying high in an empty sky which has transmuted into a fear of heights when he can see the ground, and the walk to the coast filled him with disgust for the land, he would rather swim then walk any day.
Since this encounter he has stayed near water, growing ever bigger and stronger. Now days he spends weeks away from any sight of land, simply swimming around in the ocean. He has had several encounters where, swimming a couple of meters under the surface, Magescians have noticed his abnormally large shadow and panicked. When he swam closer to examine these tiny beings, they attacked him. Since he himself views bigger people as a challenge not a threat, he doesn't realize how his abnormal size can scare others. So he thinks that the Magescians attacked him for simply approaching. If there is any warlike maneuvers that occur on a ship he will capsize the ship and swim away. He will only save those who are Dovaa hybrids. If the ship simply panics, or doesn't respond in a threatening manner, he swims along with it until he gets bored or hungry, then he leaves. Sometimes he will rise to the surface and speak, but this is very rare and he only does this if he is A) not hungry, or B) hasn't seen anyone for a year.
Even though he is an Orakoven now, he is still constantly hungry. When he is hungry his temper is short and and is easily riled. Since he is constantly hungry, the best time to approach him is right after he has eaten.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement:
A chance for mischief as there are lots of boats carrying people for the war effort. He could care less about the gods as they can't harm or stop him from doing what he wants so why should he care?
Thoughts on the Magescian Races:
Playtoys. He views the majority of Magescians as things to play with unless they are strong enough to hurt him, then he will take them seriously.
The exception to this are hybrids. He will not knowingly attack a hybrid unless provoked. The only type he will automatically defend are Dovaa hybrids because of the favor one of them did for him.
Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora:
Dragons
1) arrogant creatures who need to be taken down a notch
2) absolutely hates Kiandri, will attack on sight and will chase them down, ignoring all other dragon types
Khehora
1) if they're as big as me, I'm gonna fight them twisted
2) smaller ones are little relatives that must be protected if even they are kinda silly
