Bloodless felt... strange. It wasn't a bad type of strange just something that was so new to her. Her body, usually cold to the touch and chilled inside -- it felt like something warm was growing in her, and it tickled at her bones.
Perhaps it was the seasons changing within her? Perhaps it was the MotherFather trying to tell her something -- the little doe had not a clue. She entertained the fact that maybe it had to do with the buck she had met nights before, who smelled like the sea and glistened in the moonlight. But no, it was a dalliance and nothing more. But it still troubled her, why did it feel like something in her was changing after that day?
It was late afternoon, the sun was setting and it was usually time for her to settle down or go 'home' to rest the night. But her legs did not stop, she continued walking, as if she could find the answer to her questions at the end of the swamp.

Tastes Like Summer followed the doe for a while, walking across branches and weaving through foliage from tree to tree. Her soft paws let her journey continue almost silently, except to the keenest ears. When she decided to reveal herself, it was not with a move so dramatic as leaping down off the branch to land in front of the walking doe. She simply let her steps become heavier. She stepped with the intent to create noise and shake down a few leaves. When the doe looked up, she would be greeted by a pair of curious, glowing gold eyes, much to bright to be natural.

The doe was usually light on her feet, she couldn't help but try to understand why she felt so different, a troubled look in her eyes. Despite being engrossed in her thoughts, her ears perked up to look around, bright blue eyes looking through the expanse of trees before it was obvious that something was nearby. And finally after a long pause, she looked up.
It was a being that she knew she hadn't ever met, curiously, even carelessly she tried to lift up her hooves to look at this being better.
"Greetings." She said with a gentle voice, "I .. am Bloodless." The doe was a little caught off guard with those bright eyes looking right at her, but she wasn't scared -- actually even a little hopeful.

A smile, just the barest flash of teeth, but friendly despite it. She kneaded the branch beneath her paws, claws sticking and snagging against the bark and giving the movements a curious cadence. "Greetings, I am Tastes Like Summer," she responded, her voice equally gentle. "Congratulations."

She stared at this being, blue eyes wide when she was spoken to. "Thank... you." Bloodless whispered, tilting her head and even smiling a little. The doe wasn't exactly sure what the other was congratulating her for exactly, for a moment pausing in contemplation. And suddenly it hit her.
"Ah.. So I am to be a mother, is that so..." She was unsure now of something different this time, looking up as if asking for an answer.

She waited for the doe to come to the conclusion her. She smiled and nodded when it did. She waited for the doe to continue, sensing a question, but when the other doe didn't continue, she answered. "Yes, it is so."Aric Val Oh man! I thought I had replied to this. So sorry for the wait!
