It was odd to say the least. To be away from Chiku, but she had come down with some kind of illness that had set in later the same day they had met that dark male that kept laughing at them. The nannies guessed it was probably from suddenly being around so many other lions when her body was so used to only Lelya's presence for so long. Of course that didn't help Lelya's nerves as she fretted over the other lioness. They had been constant companions for so long now that it almost felt as though something was missing. Normally she would have been at Chiku's side but they suggested that it was best she rest quietly and away from other, lest anyone else catch it.

The young adult sighed heavily as her head hung off of the rocky outcropping that Lelya had made her home that evening. The sun was just now setting and with it went the warmth of the day. At least the rocks would keep a bit of it for a little while. Though now she had to worry about snakes trying to chase her off of her spot. Laying flat on the slab, she wasn't exactly a pretty sight. Her ribs were still showing slightly and she was still a good ways from being the proper weight her age and body could support. Her fur was even a slight mess since Chiku wasn't there to help groom her like she was so used to. Tired blue eyes watched the ants move on the ground not far from the tip of hew muzzle.
