High school is such a drag isn't it? I mean besides all the classes, the homework, the fights, the detentions, AND trying to master whatever gift you have, there's the dating game. You flirt your little heart out and get tossed aside. You finally find someone you like and try the dating thing for a while but it doesn't work out. He gets tired of you, you get tired of her, when did it get this hard? Isn't it supposed to be the first person you meet walking in the door is your love for life and everything is perfect? When did reality take over our perfect fantasy lives!?
This is an RP for those of us who've noticed the extreme freakishness of other romance involving RPs. Rather than meet one person hook up with them and stay through the whole RP let's make things a little more realistic shall we? Last I checked high school and dating weren't all roses and sunshine, this high school, besides the different species and their assorted powers to make things interesting, is a little more normal. Here you can like more than one person, cheat, get cheated on, dump, reject, accept and get dumped. Some people may very well be the rebound some people may go on one date then go on another with someone else, things don't have to be serious right away, I hear they didn't used to be. So who's with me? Ready for a romantic RP Rebellion????
And no, it's not a sleep away boarding whatever school.

Rules
Yes there are rules, I mean hello? Order much?
1) No god modding, it's not cool I won't tolerate it
2) Follow gaia TOS, shouldn't have to say it but I will anyway, and the guild rules, again this should go without saying but now it's been said.
3) I am god here, what I say goes, understood? my second in command is Adorkable Monster, she's like a vice god, so don't argue with her either.
4) No bashing, hating, or threatening in ooc, you can do that on your own time (not that you should) don't waste my time with it
5) Use "" for speech, bolding would be nice but you don't have to. Italicise for thoughts you can also use -abc- if you use both -abc- that would be great.
6) This being a specifically literate RP I doubt I have to remind you, but please don't use ** or -- or any other variation to indicate actions.
7) Due to the nature of this RP, that is because there will be many rejections and break ups and probably fights etc., I'll have to request that you only use third person. When you use first person you tend to feel any attack by another character towards your character is directed at you and it causes tension with the other RPers, so please only post in third person.
8 ) Don't spam the thread please, it's not cool and it wastes space.
9) Send all profiles to me in a PM with a heart in it somewhere. Titled "I'm Afraid of Rejection" so I know you read the rules.
10) Any ooc not accompanied by an actual post should go here, otherwise it tends to get out of hand.
11)If I forget anything I will add more rules so check back here often.
12)Most important rule, as it is the point of the whole RP, DON'T find one person you like and stick with him/her, the point is to go through several people before finding someone it works out with IF you ever do, got it? Good.

The Principal and The Janitor
I'm putting the profiles for the principal and the janitor here because one will be good for everyone to know (and an example profile is always nice anyway right?) and the other exists purely for amusement anyway and is a semi-NPC so it would be good for everyone to see him as well. Personality: Kind but firm. She won't hesitate to dole out the appropriate punishment if you break the rules but she won't yell and scream and rant at you either (unless you did something unforgivable). Caring and friendly, almost never without a smile. She sees the students as her own children and won't tolerate anyone messing with them. Also, like any good mother, she knows how to quell fights between siblings (or students) without seeming to be picking sides or favorites.
Job: Principal
Bio: She's been with the school longer than anyone can remember. She is often found in the cafeteria watching and keeping order or in her office. Alumni often return to the school to chat and she has been known to set up gatherings for alumni and current students to talk and offer or receive advice. So far only trouble makers have ever had a problem with her. The graffiti class was her idea, she believed it would give those who felt a need to vandalize her school a better outlet and so far it's been working.

If anyone would like to play the principal's kids, one or more, that would be great. if you do, go ahead and make a profile for them just put that under "other" thanks.
A big thank you to TheVelma Young, thanks to her the school now has a name. So welcome everyone to Xenos High!
(This is an old announcement from when this was a forum RP, but I feel I should still give her credit for the name)
As previously mentioned the janitor, Frazz, is a partial NPC. What does a partial NPC mean I hear you asking. It means no one but me may have full control of him (and it's highly unlikely that I'll ever actually use said control anyway), but you may all feel free to mention him in any of your posts, that he is there, that you got advice from him, that he is offering advice, whatever. In fact I encourage it. If you don't recognize him that is very sad and you should look him up, his comics are very good. If you do recognize him you should have no trouble thinking of something he's likely to do or have done and mentioning it in passing. As I said I really only made him for my own amusement and hope you find his existence as entertaining as I do, so enjoy him folks, I do believe every school needs a Frazz.
Xenos High now officially has it's own radio station. Things that don't really belong here in announcements but are still interesting for people to know may appear there. I will be the only one writing things for it as it's not really a club, in other words your characters wont be saying anything on it and the DJ isn't a real character, but I am open to suggestions for bits of gossip to appear there.

Classes
This is a school, there are some classes, you don't have to go to them since it's not the main point but I'm gonna list them here anyway, no it's not a schedule it's just classes that are available if you choose to go. Plus it gives you something to talk/rant about to your friends and/or potential crush/date even if you don't go to them.
Math: Algebra, Geometry, Algebra2, Precalc, Calc, Trig, Stats, So-Advanced-You-Never-Heard-Of-It-Before (for the truly mathmatically gifted)
English: English9, English10, English11, College English (that's right seniors don't have english =P but anyone can take college level if they feel up to it)
Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Earth Space, Planetary Exploits (yes we have the technology =P)
Social Studies: Geography, Ancient, World, US, Euro, Asia, Africa, the other continents and more specific countries in them (we're flexible here), Other Planets
Language: English (what? some people don't know it very well), Spanish, French, Latin, German, Japanese, Chinese (any dialect, there's more than one version of chinese right?), Arabic, Amharic (no I didn't make it up, it's from Ethiopia), Portuguese, Martian (yeah we teach it, other planets too), any other language you can think of like I said we're flexible
The Arts: Band, Orchestra, Choir, Ceramics, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Tattooing, Graffiti (only in the classroom, no tagging please unless you wanna get detention), Culinary (this ain't home-ec people, it's an art form, your teachers are chefs and may be harsh), Engineering (I think it's an art, you may disagree), Theatre, Directing/Making Movies, Script Writing (advanced classes available), Weaving (NOT an easy A), Sewing (it's hard people, no easy A's here, you're teachers are or were professional designers), anything else I may have left out
Other Electives: Demolition (yes you get to use explosives *innocent yet evil giggle*), Powers Mastery (that's right you don't have to but you probably will want to take a class or two on mastering your abilities if you have time), PE (aren't you glad it's just an elective?), anything you think I left out that may be interesting to rant/talk about or even actually take

Principal F. Tirion walked into the office, waving to Frazz on her way who was busy sweeping as usual. Her kids had agreed to find their own way to school today rather than leave two hours early like she had to for the first day of school. Two hours had flown by as she ran around the school making sure everything was ready and now she sat in the big comfy swirling rolling chair behind the desk with her name on it in her office and sighed. "Another school year begins, always exciting." She smiled and twirled a pencil on the desk before clearing her throat and speaking again, this time projecting her voice around the entire school. "Good morning everyone! Welcome to the new school year! I hope you're all as excited as I am for what the year holds. Freshmen orientation begins in the auditorium in one hour, all other classes begin in twenty minutes. Better finish up exploring, don't be late! And Thomas, I'd advice against sticking that gum in the water fountain." She laughed shaking her head when the announcement was through, some kids never learned.
