Description/History
If normal twins can be considered a single person split into two before birth, Soma no Ko twins are a single chakra split into two. This phenomenon is rare, usually only occurring if both parents possessed an active chakra supply, which is normally only seen in ninja. These twins share a connection deeper than even normal twins, truly being two parts of a single whole. Physically the twins appear just as normal twins. They can be any type of twins, Fraternal or Identical. Below the surface though, they are very different, sharing not only a single chakra signature, but also a telepathic link, and even being able to develop the ability to fuse bodies with their twin to increase their strength.
Benefits & Penalties
Twin Telepathy: Soma no Ko twins possess a form of telepathy, allowing them to speak mentally to each other at will, with no cost. This ability does not extend to sharing senses however, though they are able to send thoughts in the form of mental images.
Shared Signature: Soma no Ko twins share an identical chakra signature, making them impossible to differentiate by their chakra.
Duality: While identical in many respects, Soma no Ko twins do not always share the same interests, or skills. Rather they each are able to have their own profession, types, weaknesses, and skills. Jutsu learned by one twin are not automatically learned by the other, though they can teach each other any jutsu they are both capable of learning.
Shared Strength: Soma no Ko twins don't just seem like they were divided at birth, they were. All of the twin's stats are split between their bodies at birth, and while they are able to make up for it with training, each body's base stats can never equal that of a normal human of equal rank. Additionally, they possess a reduced chakra supply, as that too is split between them.

Separation Anxiety: Due to sharing a deeper connection than most others can understand, Soma no Ko twins cannot handle being separated from their twin. If they are not in the same thread, both suffer a full rank reduction to all stats, and cannot even focus enough chakra to cast jutsu above their own rank. If they are in separate subforums their stats are reduced by two full ranks, they cannot cast any jutsu of their own rank or higher, and they no longer receive any benefits from types or professions.

Jūfuku Kankaku [Overlapping Senses]

Description: Expanding on their telepathy, some twins are capable of sharing a complete sense with their twin. However in doing so, the receiving twin's own version of that sense is turned off completely for as long as they receive the other twin's signal. It costs the sending twin a D rank's worth of chakra per post to uphold the signal.

Description: With this jutsu, one of the twins is able to absorb the other into their own body, merging their two bodies into one. When merged only one of the twins has full control over the body's actions, with the other riding along as a mental passenger. They are still able to communicate via telepathy, but they now share all the same senses. In this state, the main body's strength is increased to match that of a normal human, removing their -1/4th penalty. This state can last as long as the twins wish at no additional cost, but any damage done to the main body while merged is applied to both twins when they separate.

Description: With enough skill and practice, Soma no Ko twins are able to merge their bodies into one, returning to their complete form. When merged only one of the twins has full control over the body's actions, with the other riding along as a mental passenger. They are still able to communicate via telepathy, but they now share all the same senses. In this state the remaining body gains all the strengths and weaknesses of both individual bodies, increasing their stats and chakra supply by the value of the absorbed body. The combined form can use any skill known to either twin, as well as any profession benefit. However, this form costs C ranked chakra every post to maintain, and any damage done to the combined formed is applied to both when the fusion is ended. When the fusion is canceled their chakra supply is divided evenly between the twins. Costs A ranked chakra to activate.
