"Lemon Tart?...That's a new one." Aiko smiled as the man quickly remembered her pet nickname from back when she was a younger girl, though it seems like many gave her different names based on whatever treat she might have always given them. It was random on what treats she gave to who and which people got them, but she did her beast to make sure everyone in the Village had at least one treat. It helped keeps spirits high and show off her culinary skills to the villagers. Because love orhate somebody, good food was almost always a good reason to stop for a while. "I have graduated, yes! I was just looking to go around and help some other summoners when this whole war started." She explained, pushing up her glasses as the man's servant stepped aside for Aiko to pass by him. "Thank you. I really am in your debt." She said before she stopped to listen to the other servant's warning about not trying anything funny. She nodded in a timid way, saying, "I give you my word I will not.", promising not to cause any trouble as she roamed up the stairs to follow Nito's lead.

Her servants watched their master go up into the home, the main female turning to the rest and giving orders so that they could at least help keep watch. Turning to the others, she gave them orders while still sounding pretty sour about Aiko's plan. If they were to become more powerful, they needed this "Master" of theirs to grow up and go kill some competition. "I want this house secure. 4 of you on all sides, the 2 extra can sit atop the roof and act as our eyes. Might as well make sure nobody sneaks up on us while we're stuck here." The next in command of the group of assassins to scatter about the home, taking his place on top of the roof as they all then vanished, one by one until the ones standing near the entrance were the only parts of the servant that were not completely invisible. The main woman then turned to the other nearby servant as she grinned maliciously, almost like she was taunting him. "Don't you worry that pretty little face of yours. Your master and his little girlfriend will be fine." She said as she took her place on the opposite side of the entrance.

Meanwhile, Aiko was inside the home, now starting to warm up as she could feel her once cold hands now warm up at a slow pace. "Thank you again for allowing me inside. It's freezing out there..." She said, smiling at the two who had called this place home. Aiko nodded to the green haired female, happy to be warm again. "Greetings. I'm Aiko. I come in peace." The young female said as Nito continued to go on and explain that the house was not as good as Aiko thought it was from the beginning. While it did not have the comforts of most, it was at least partially safe from other people who wished to kill everyone they met. "T's a nice little house though. It would be comfortable if not for the war." Aiko suggested as she used her index finger to play with the orange and brown colored scarf around her neck. "So what are you two doing here? Looking for a safe place like I am?"

Before she could even make a sound, Nito was out of the house. Before they could make some kind of arrangement or plan, he was chatting with whoever was outside. And despite the frustration the green-haired girl felt by his lack of common sense and his problem of trusting whoever appeared at the door, Nia was relieved that they were at least chatting...and not fighting already. Nia kept herself glued to the door, her hands already moving to her sides, fingers brushing the cans of the several substances she always carried with her. She didn't know this girl...and she didn't know what she wanted. She could be faking...pretending to be vulnerable to stab them in the back while their sleep. ... ... Or perhaps...she ...was just cold and tired? The green haired summoner chewed on the inside of her cheek, her mind gears moving quickly, when Nito invited the stranger inside the house.

She really didn't look so bad, and the two kept going and going about this and that, as if they knew each other. And perhaps that was what really eased her, a breath she didn't know she had been keeping escaping her lips just then. Green eyes landed on Nito only for a second, before shaking her head slightly in defeat. If he trusted the girl...then she could really do nothing to protest. And deep inside, she knew she would have done the same. This girl didn't radiate hostile vibes...and for now... an ally would be just what they needed. She would have to just kick away her fears and doubts and...be...like Nito. Kinda. Sorta. Not entirely.

"I am Nia...nice to meet you." It felt weird making introductions like this. But then again...Nito and her weren't exactly a normal pair, right? They had been arguing about cats and breakfast just a few minutes ago. And yet, the sensible part of her warned her to take things a little more seriously. This was a War, after all. The footsteps on the roof and the voices of the Servants outside reminded her as much. "Um...so... where do you come from? Have you any news on what's going on in the city? Information on other Masters or Servants?" Perhaps she was being too rash, blurting out as many questions just when the girl was trying to settle down and relax for a bit, but... well... it was important information that they needed...and despite being a little more relaxed about the newcomer... she couldn't shake the feeling that things were just about to change from there on. And perhaps...their peace and quiet wouldn't return to them.

Nonito Nekata, aka Jakken the [False] Kuzunoha and Assassin
"Ho...huh? Get ready to witness the power of a true summoner elite!"

"Lemon Tart...Peach Cobbler...Cherry Catnip, it was something like that at any rate," the smiling summoner went on almost in his own little world as he walked into the house behind the new guest and then circled around to behind his green-haired companion almost as if floating...his strange energy and mildly-loopy ways giving him a quality that could set almost anyone at ease. It was just so hard to take him seriously when he was bouncing around jabbering the way he was! That attitude of his was both a rather accurate representation of who he was and a weapon that he could use against enemies who underestimated him because of it, but one thing it wasn't was a switch that he could ever completely turn off. Fortunately for Aiko, there didn't seem to be any lingering hostility in him; he certainly had said all that he needed to about the risks of attempting betrayal before, and if she really was the person that he had seen during his days back in the summoners' village, then she wasn't someone who would betray them even if she had summoned an Assassin. Which meant...wait, what did it mean again? New guest, not an enemy, perhaps she would want to...to...

"An alliance! Brilliant! Nia, you truly are clever," the quite tall summoner wrapped his arms around the green-haired girl from behind and crushed her playfully back into his chest, resting his chin against the top of her head as he smiled...congratulating her for an idea she had never actually spoken aloud. But still, it was good to be praised even if it wasn't for something you had suggested, right? After a few moments of silly hugging he raised his two pointer fingers and jabbed them playfully into the girl's puffed out cheeks, seemingly carefree and enjoying himself now in spite of the severity of the situation the three of them continued to be a part of. "Nia, Aiko was trained in the Kuzunoha Village as I was, though she started a bit later than I did...great pastries, good skills. As likely an ally as we might find in this war I'd say. Aiko, this is my adorable companion Nia! Not from the village, sadly, but she learned the art of summoning herself after the Crows picked her up. Now don't be fooled Aiko, she might look a little...what's the word I'm looking for...green? But there's not a better companion to a summoner in all the world! Even the legendary cat-master of the Raidou Line would find himself wanting!" That was...some sort of praise, right? She had just been compared favorably to a talking cat, although knowing her she'd probably still be pouting from his teasing poke a few moments earlier. The two of them were...obviously quite friendly, Aiko would notice...and the trust between them was something that couldn't have been gained in a short time, nor something that would ever be easily broken. They worked well together. They went well together. A capable team despite all their oddity.

"Now then! Status report! Sir Grumpsa-!" he turned to his back and realized again, with no small level of sadness, that his GrumpyCat companions were not allowed to follow him into this particular war. "Ah! Right. Well then, let's get to the long and short of it, shall we? You might not remember me exactly, but I...am Nito! Nekata Nito, though you're welcome to simply call me Kuzunoha if you wish, Jakken Kuzunoha, First of my Name. Though if you're one of the ones they sent to bring me back to the Village, I'd ask you forget that last bit until after we deal with this particular situation. And we are here in this city to obtain the Holy Grail for the safety of...I'm sorry, this is boring, isn't it? I'm sure that if you're here you know why you're here. Anywho, this is a recently-abandoned Yatagarasu residence often used by Summoners who come to Sapporo for missions, investigations, and so-forth. I remember it because I was brought here once on a mission with another summoner last winter...a well enough place to set up shop until we've gotten our bearings in this war, I think. It's remote and has a long staircase that's easily monitored by my Servant, which should give us some warning if we're ever being hunted...good for keeping an eye on our enemies and staying out of the battle until we're ready ourselves. And...there was something else, wasn't there...oh! Yes! We were just about to eat breakfast, weren't we, Nia, dear?"

This guy could talk for days...though he was nothing if not entertaining about it. And the look that he offered his companion seemed to offer some hidden meaning (and while Aiko might wonder if it was something about her, Nia would recognize instantly that he was instigating his silly argument from earlier that they needed to cook breakfast and not eat their lunch from bags like some grade school children!). From the outside, it must have seemed almost...fun for them. Maybe being indoors and seeing them, it might even begin to feel like a home?

...

On the outside, the swordsman standing guard seemed nonplussed by the provocation of the Assassins; even if they were just being playful, he didn't seem the type to get his feathers rustled so easily. One thing he knew about this particular servant was that the division between all those bodies took its toll on the true power of each individual Assassin overall. They were the best there was at spying on their enemies and occasionally launching surprise attacks on slower Servants, but even with all their numbers, they lacked the combat skill to kill him unless he made some sort of obvious mistake...an unlikely thing to expect. No, even if they wanted to kill his Master, they couldn't achieve it under the circumstances. Not so long as he remained watchful as ever. "You have no need to watch the front quarter; if anything approaches, I will be the first to notice," the Assassin offered in a voice that could have been mistaken for a challenge, were it not for the passivity within. He seemed altogether unshakeable in spirit...a true samurai. Which perhaps raised the question of exactly what type of Assassin he was supposed to be, anyway?

Aiko turned to the green haired friend of Nito, introducing herself as Nia. She couldn't help but grin at how similar their names were. Almost like they were made for one another. She then asked where she came from and if she had heard any news of what was going on in the city. "Well, I come from the same Kuzunoha Village as Nito, like he said. As for news on what's going on, when I was coming here, I heard chatter about how the war's starting to get bloody." She then frowned, seeming a bit more worried for everyone in the war. "People are starting to kill one another, as expected. The strongest are starting to make themselves known." Aiko then began to think of what the worst parts of the battle fields to be could be. "They say that the worst parts to venture towards are the cities. Lots of people, which kind of means...You know. Lots of people." The woman said as she seemed a bit proud of her skills that Nito told Nia about her and how she was trained. It turns out Nia was a summoner like her as well, though not from the same village as the Nito or her.

Nito then went on and explained the situation to Aiko, now feeling warmer from the harsh climate outside. She did feel quite guility about trespassing in between the two, but she hoped that she would not be a problem too much "It's a pleasure to officially meet you, Nito." She said, wondering if he was truly a Kuzunoha. He did not really seem to act like one. She though that Kuzunohas were...well, dignified. Their movements swift, calculated and ready to re think a new plan should something interrupt them from their current plan. Nito here seemed somewhat out of reality, which made Aiko question whether she was safe with him or not. But, it beat freezing to death. At least if he stabbed her while she was not looking, it would be painless. He then went on to say that there were apparently groups trying to get him to come back to the village, which only made Aiko question him more. "I see...So that's why you want the chalice. Very noble of you." The woman said as Nito finished speaking, her mind still wandering around. "Well, I can leave you two alone while you eat. It would be rude to come in and demand you feed me." She half joked, beginning to now twirl some strands of hair around her index finger. She usually did this whenever she was out of things to say or just a reflex she did when nothing has happening. "I am free to help if you need anything done in the meantime. If not, I can just wait outside in the stairs." Aiko offered, figuring that the two of them wanted their alone time. It was nice to warm up in the meantime, but this was their base for now. She was just allowed entry.

Outside, Aiko's servants were still keeping an eye out for anything coming towards them, the leader at the front with the fellow servant there. She leaned on the wall of the house, listening to the other servant say how she did not need to watch the front of the house. She was already in a pretty foul mood, and this certainly wasn't helping her at all. "Then why move? I have a front seat to the show." The woman retorted while watching out for anybody. It would certainly help break this silence between the two. She was not shy by any means, but she just hated everybody, some people more than others. "I don't even know why she wanted to come here." The masked woman spoke to herself, but also her...other person standing guard. She did not look at him, merely talking while staring straight ahead. "Even counting the base it provides, she should be out there with the rest of the Masters and Servants. Instead, she's inside, hiding from whatever's out there."

Nia Ueda
A loud squeak escaped the green haired girl as unexpected arms wrapped around her from behind, her face turning a bright shade of red one could even say she was glowing. Not that Nito's affections were new to her...he hugged her, ruffled her hair, poked her cheek...kissed her once... b-but! Doing so in front of a third party...a stranger even! It just made her feel sheepish, to say the least. "N-Nito! Wait- don't- Eep!" She squirmed like a fish, but eventually calmed down, knowing she wouldn't be leaving his grip if he didn't want to let her go. So, she settled down, pouting, even if the feeling was nice... as little as the gesture was. And random. Completely random. But, that didn't mean she didn't appreciate it. Despite her complains.

As Nio explained how he knew the new girl, Nia nodded lightly, a little smile curling at her lips. So, another Summoner. It was good to have allies...if...she really would ally with them here in the war. When the conversation turned to her, the girl gave a sheepish smile...before changing into a reproachful frown, her gaze turning back to Nito. "Green!? And... and did you just compare me to a cat?"

Though, before she could even snap at him for that (really, cats were treacherous creatures!), Aiko spoke up again, making Nia to sober up, if only for a little bit. "I see... so, that is all that we know... " Raids were occurring, fighting was growing more serious by the minute... It would be just a question of time before others find them there. Perhaps now they could think of a plan... They had two Servants now...so there was a better chance at being on top right? They couldn't possibly be caught off guard with so many spirits taking guard out of the door. Nito knew as much, already planning (or something akin to it) what they would do...and Nia agreed with him. They still needed to prepare themselves...knew what they would do. Until then...they'd wait for the other Masters to fight against each other...

Aaaaand then, the seriousness was gone. "Breakfast? Oh, no no. You don't have to leave, Aiko. We already have some breakfast...don't you remember, Nito?" her playful gaze challenged his for an instant, before turning back to the brunette. "Though, if you are hungry...we could make something quick for you. I don't want you to starve...you are part of our team now, and we don't leave anybody out."

"Ho...huh? Get ready to witness the power of a true summoner elite!"

"Leave? Heavens, no! Don't be ridiculous. You're more than welcome to stay and share our breakfast, right Nia?" his response to the idea of the girl waiting outside while they ate was thus shut down in an instant, his smile and definitive nod of his head all that Aiko needed to see to know that he had no issue whatsoever with her hanging around for the moment. As for Nia, he didn't let her challenge slip by without putting his emphatic stamp on the matter. That...whatever it was she had given him, all wrapped up and straight out of the cold lunch bag as it was...it wasn't going to do! Or, it would, but he'd have to pout and complain about it a while longer...and if she was willing to make breakfast for the guest then he wasn't going to sit by without putting up a token show of defiance until he got some of that delicious breakfast meal, too! This was a Waffle Day, wasn't it? She couldn't just ignore Waffle Day! "As I recall, it is Waffle Day!" See? He wasn't going to let this go without a fight! And a sidelong glance at their companion would hopefully reveal that she was just as excited for the idea of waffles as he was! Then Nia would have to make them...err...lack of a waffle iron not withstanding! Wait, no, that wasn't what was important here. What was important was that he had just laid out his totally-inspired and insightful plan to park them at a remote location with a great vantage point and Nia hadn't even complimented him on his foresight! ...His cheeks puffed at that, feeling a little petulant himself now that she had missed the...wait, no, he couldn't be upset with her now. There were...more important things at stake than breakfast foods.

He might not look it, but Nito Nekata was powerful. Had he not gone off on his own when the Fourth Great Summoner disappeared with the secrets of his name...proclaiming himself to be Jakken, first of his own line...it was somewhat likely that Nito would have inherited the name of 'Geirin' and become a true Kuzunoha during the recent crisis. His skill as a fighter was as famous in the old village as his poor taste in summons was infamous; she might not remember that, of course, but at the very least if they came under attack, Aiko would find herself a lot safer than she might imagine. Looks, they say, could be deceiving. Nito had always been standing evidence of that.

"Aiko, I know we might not look it," the summoner began as he moved towards the window, his voice suddenly shifting an octave lower...the amusement leaking out of him for just an instant so that she would understand as well that he wasn't just some goofball all full of talk and no action. He was, in the end, a summoner as proud and skilled as many others. And he wasn't here intending for either of the two of them to die. "But we're not entirely helpless here, you know. If you're willing to work with us, there's a much better chance that we might be able to use the Grail for something worthwhile. My Assassin isn't exactly normal for his Class; he might even be able to win against one of the Knight Classes in a match. ...Would you...? Nia, won't you...no...what I'm trying to say, Aiko, is...if you don't mind this arrangement, you, Nia, and I might make a rather viable team. Do you want to stick around a while and work together?"

...

If the female Assassin was getting annoyed, the swordsman neither seemed to visibly notice or care. It wasn't a provocation that had made him tell the group of shadowy figures there was no need to watch the stairs; it was as he had said, his vision was sharper than any other Servant. What others could not see, what was concealed, he could unmask...his instincts could allow him to react to a sneak attack in an instant. With him standing guard, no one would take the steps without first being confronted by him. For better protection, the 18 bodies focusing their attention elsewhere would be the most efficient method. Still, he didn't see the need to clarify either. The only concerning thing was the Servants' disobedient thoughts. If they didn't have a formal alliance, he couldn't be sure what the Servants might do in spite of their master's will. He was sure that he could defeat them if they were to fight, but...it would be better for everyone involved if it didn't come to that.

"Although you might wish to draw first blood, you must remember what we are. Normal Assassins such as yourself are not suited to direct confrontation against the Three Great Knight classes. To observe, to stay hidden, to gather information, and to strike at the opportune moment is our most likely path to victory," the swordsman opined calmly, hoping that his lack of hostility and perhaps a reminder of what they already knew would help to calm the other Assassins and make them a little more amenable to relaxing for the time being. His eyes shifted back towards the masked, female Servant, and he watched as she remained lingering, smirking...truly in life she must have been a cunning and formidable person. He almost admired that sharp wit of hers. If they could win over the Assassins and their Master to ally with them...his Master's cause might just get a real boost. "I see wisdom in your master's choice to seek a safe haven at the start of the War. Though I have yet to acknowledge this lack of hostility is truly genuine."

"Hmmm?" Aiko was fairly surprised by both of the summoner's response to her suggestion that she wait outside while the two of them enjoyed their privacy while having their lunch. Or was it breakfast? She had no clue, to be honest, and it was a meal in any other regards. No knowing it it could be your last meal in this world. "You...Don't mind?" She said in a surprised tone of voice, seeming a bit more happy to find people willingly to let her stay with them. She thought for a short while, looking to the door while her conflicted decisions before turning back to the other two summoners, having decided on what to do. "If you allow me to, I shall stay." She said, happy to not be back outside in the bitter cold weather, but not telling her hosts that. The two seemed very gracious to allow her to stay with them. Though she wondered if she would have to cook something for herself, or if they baked enough for a side helping to give to her. Her stomach let out an audble growl as the woman had to grab it to keep from being embarrassed. "A-Apologies."

The next event that would happen took AIko by surprised, which was Rito actually sounding very leader-like. She blinked in disbelief, wondering who this person was that had replaced Rito and what he was doing here. What happened to Rito? He's more serious now. It's actually pretty frightening. I hope he's not crazy. Were some of the random thoughts drifting through her head as she sat alone and listened to the male speak about a possible alliance between the three of them. All of them happened to want the Grail for a common interest, though Aiko did not know if these two had any other motives besides their current one. To be honest, she wanted the grail like anybody else, but only to make sure everyone she knew and cared for could be protected. But if they were to all win it for the Village or whatever the cause was, it could help benefit her greatly. That and it beat walking around aimlessly with her servant. She was a bit of a b***h when it came to plans. "I've no idea what the Grail could be used for besides the wish, or your motives for us if we even get the Grail..." She began, looking at the floor some while quickly deciding to join the two on their quest of sorts. "...But I shall assist you in your goal. Summoners should stick together, right?" She joked, nodding one final time to signify she would do everything in her power to help Nito and Nia in their group. "I will not let either of you down."

The female assassin simply scoffed at the fellow assassins words, as if she was just insulted. "You take me for one who does not understand the meaning of our kind." She said, looking up to the roofs for any signs of movement, with no such luck. "I should be cutting an unsuspecting knave's throat while he sleeps. Not sitting here while we wait on two Masters and a child." She said, still upset at her plight of having a weak Master. Her body language showed her frustration for ot progressing towards their goal. "Do you see anything yet? I need some fresh blood on my hands."

Things gave a 180° turn in a matter of seconds. They were playfully arguing about breakfast (dinner), almost as if they were on their own home, without a war to fight outside of the small abandoned hideout, lightly deciding if to have waffles or any other meal...and then, Nito was explaining the situation to their fellow summoner, his voice low and serious. There was something bothering him...she had noticed it even before. He had been fidgeting, and there had been a look on his gaze that she hadn't been able to identify. Though, the mere fact that he was actually showing a side of him that barely ever came out...it made her feel strange. A knot tied on her stomach...the situation was probably even more dire if Nito was this serious...but at the same time...she couldn't help the little smile on her lips as he spoke. He was right...they weren't helpless...They were a good team. And if they also had Aiko to help them...then they would have a bigger chance to succeed. Both their Assassins were strong...and having her Servants with them instead of against them...well... it was even better.

Her green gaze fell on him, and she couldn't erase the silly smile on her face. She knew Nito...and she didn't need for him to act serious to know how strong he was. She had seen him fighting countless times, and it would be foolish to think of the eccentric Kuzunoha as weak. Still... seeing him like this, despite the strangeness of it all, made her proud. "Mmhm! And we will be a good team!" the green haired girl said in response to Aiko's statement. "Right, Nito?"

And well... for now...she couldn't really deny him his breakfast, right? After all that? And with a defeated sigh and a headshake, she turned to the two...a smile on her face. "Well, alriiiiight. Breakfast, then? Though, Nito... I am not even sure what we can cook here... If anything...we still have the wrapped...lunches? ... Sandwiches? What even are those?" Yup. They were a strange lot, but... they had each other...and despite their appearance... they knew what they were doing. Maybe. Sort of. Kind of.

"Ho...huh? Get ready to witness the power of a true summoner elite!"

"Marvelous!" the self-proclaimed Great Summoner clapped his hands and proclaimed brightly, his thousand-watt smile filling the room as he shook the girl's hand excitedly and flitted immediately around her back thereafter towards the window...his eyes peering out into the darkness towards the staircase where his Assassin (and presumably some of hers) were keeping guard over the hideaway for them. With so many eyes on their side, the three of them would have more than ample warning to defend against any attacks...or at least escape should the situation merit such actions. Though they lacked the pure stopping power of other classes of Servants, there was a much greater chance for all three of them to survive the war now that they were officially working as a team! It was all enough to leave the orchid-haired summoner...well, perhaps even a bit more excitable than usual. Which was saying a lot. "The three of us at the very least can defend this location against our enemies, should they come to us. If I could summon Sir Grumpsalot the victory would be certain...though, no use crying over it! We've found a friend in this den of badgers, and that's something I'd venture neither of us expected. This is worth celebrating, eh?"

...Alas, as the self-styled Kuzunoha turned to expand upon the celebratory atmosphere with his beloved companion, all hopes were dashed! Wrapped...lunches?! Was that really all they had?!

"No breakfast?! No waffles?!" Nito wailed playfully, arms raising over his head dramatically as he sunk to his knees in utter defeat, "...Wait, have we even checked the cupboards?" ...No, really, had they? This cabin was small, yes, but as a former base of the Crows it was sure to be stocked with at least some necessary supplies. And everybody knew that the most important thing to have on a long-term mission like this was the ingredients for a balanced breakfast. And just like that Nito Nekata was up and about again rummaging through the rare shelves and searching for his beloved edibles. All the while rambling on about...was that legit strategy?! "The way I see it, Nia, Aiko...our most likely scenario for victory is to defend a fixed point while our enemies eliminate each other...ah, Nia, can you check the cupboard to the left there for maple syrup?...one-by-one out there in the city. If we can repel the occasional invader, keep our presence here relatively hush-hush...Nia, be a darling and see if our guest would like some water or a tea?...we can pick and choose our enemies...a necessity given our situation, you know? Your Assassins are the perfect servant for scouting our enemies here and elsewhere...Nia, do you think they have sugar here?...and mine can be our frontline. You'll be our eyes and ears, Aiko of the Lemon Tart! I'll be the brains and the good looks, and Nia here...shall be the heart! ...Any objections?! No? Excellent! Now then, to the important bits..." He whirled about and faced the duo of girls one more time, a rather flourishing wink and a thumbs-up gesture offered as if to (rather amusingly) put a stamp on this particular plan of action.

"EGGO WAFFLES!"

...His other hand produced a golden box of deliciousness that by all rights should not have been anywhere to be found in this place. Wait, weren't they talking strategy here?!

...

Outside, the violet-haired Assassin wasn't exactly growing exasperated with this conversation, but he knew that he and the female assassin were merely going in circles at this point. It was obvious that she held some level of distaste for her master, or at least for her decision to hide out rather than scout out foes in the city. He could understand the desire to fight, or at least to draw blood in this war. However, while other Servants and Masters were weakening and some perhaps might even soon be dying, they were currently safe...so they must have been doing something right. Though even he knew that there was no way they could avoid the fight forever. "There seems to be a gathering of Servants on the far Eastern side of the city. A Golden Archer, two Riders, and a Saber, and a woman whose class is indeterminable of yet are all in attendance. ...If you're looking for a throat to cut, why don't you take your chances there?"

Wait...did the swordsman just make a joke? Perhaps his master's oddity was beginning to rub off on him after all...

Aiko was feeling slightly better now that her two friends seemed to be warming up to her. She had no intentions of killing them at the first moment's notice, not able to commit such a bloody and deranged act. The mere thought of this made the summoner frowned, though some part of her knew if they had any plans on turning on her, she would need to take this chance. But they did seem like trustworthy people. Only time would tell if she could trust them fully. "The best one." Aiko said, agreeing with Nia's comment about their small group. She had a feeling that she would enjoy spending her time with the two, but knew her limits and would try to give them some personal time if they needed it. Couples sort of had a need for that thing.

Then came Nito explaining how the group would function while he rummaged around the cupboards inside of the house. Aiko did her best to aid him in his search for food, listening while wondering what their servants were up to outside. Her servants were all incredibly skilled in various tradeskills, which came to be very useful in any situations, and are also very numerous, though Aiko wondered just how many they could reproduce of themselves. But for Nito's assassin, she had no clue as to what he could do anyway. He claimed to be seeing everything from miles away, but other than that, Aiko had little idea as to what he could do. Another discovery to be had when the time came to be right it seemed.

"If you find anything, I can probably cook it. If there's one thing I'm actually good for, it's filling up stomachs." The chocolate haired summoner said aloud while finding nothing of truly edible substance inside. It was only when Nito turned around after his very serious sounding tone of voice that Aiko began to question his sanity. If he was on the same level as Nia and her, was he being affected by something? He seemed like he was stuck in limbo. Unable to step into reality or whatever fantasy world he lived in. Choosing to humor him, Aiko giggled a bit. "Well, it's not exactly a good meal, but it's better than nothing."

"Fine." Outside, Aiko's servant seemed surprised at what the other servant had found a short distance away from the house, ready to go there and slit some throats. She was preparing herself to move out with her other shadows, moving to leave the house before something stopped her, causing her to look back. She did not know whatever this feeling was that made her do this. She disliked her master chosen for her for this war and wished nothing but to embrace the mindless bloodshed and become the perfect assassin....But, she felt...wrong. Her heart felt as if it was clawing itself out of her chest and behind the mask was a face of disgust of both herself and this situation. She wanted to kill, maim, the basic stuff. But she also wished to see Aiko make it to the end of this war. The woman felt pity for her master, as she would call it, refusing to say it was anything else. As she stood out in the open for a while, just staring at the house and Nito's servant, she eventually slumped back to the house. "Don't ever speak of this to anyone." She told the fellow servant while growling, retaking her place by the wall.

Nia Ueda
The sun had come and gone again. For Nia, the hours had gone slowly, and if she had to admit it, she was getting a bit of cabin fever. Though, she couldn't say their time inside the hideout had been wasted. They had formed an alliance the night before (though, really it had been luck that Aiko had wandered to their little hiding place to begin with). Not to mention that Assassin had given her the information on the other Masters, and the occurrences that night. And despite the peculiar way, to Aiko anyway, they had come up with ideas and thoughts for the next night. They had rested during the day, and she was just opening her eyes again. Now, the night was here...and everything seemed quiet. Too quiet, perhaps.

And the feeling was worrying. It almost felt as a weight in her stomach. Like a pressure on her chest. ... ... Wait. It wasn't figurative. She actually felt a pressure on her chest. And sure enough, when eyes shifted, a head of orchid was using her as a pillow. Again. "Nito!" Like a spring, she sat up suddenly, the drowsiness left after her rest clearing from her mind completely; her train of thought from before forgotten for the time being. "How-! Nevermind! Um...Aiko, are you awake?"

They had been lucky two nights in a row...though, she wouldn't bet that it would stay the same this time. Something had to change... and perhaps, she could get some fresh air. She...was starting to understand Nito...she was becoming as jumpy and fidgety as him.

Nonito Nekata, aka Jakken the [False] Kuzunoha and Assassin
"Ho...huh? Get ready to witness the power of a true summoner elite!"

...The Following Night, Day 3 of the War...

...

The night before had been a productive one, even if they had spent it once again safely within the confines of their remote hideaway on the northern edge of the city. These hills had provided adequate cover for Nito and his newly-formed alliance, and only Aiko of the Delicious Pastry had found her way to them thus far, the good fortune therein allowing their two-person team to become a trifecta! Nito was rarely one to stop and smell the roses, but he had to count his blessings at that one. Of all the people to stumble upon their home, they had encountered one of the few...if not the only person in the entire war who would be willing to work together with himself and Nia without attempting to kill them in their sleep. Not that he was one who slept so lightly in the midst of battle...or, at least, that's what he would like to say. From her vantage point wherever she was sleeping in the small home, Aiko might argue otherwise. One look at the orchid-haired summoner again splayed out across the slight frame of his companion in a rather messy sleeping formation might have lead their newest ally to surmise that Nito wasn't altogether concerned about attack in his slumber. Then again, perhaps that was merely what he wanted his enemies to think! One never really knew with him, and that uncertainty, unpredictability was both one of his greatest assets and his greatest weaknesses...

...Whether he was really dozing or not, however, the sudden awakening of Nia that had her sliding out from under him left his head rocketing down to the hard floor a second time in two nights. It was a rather rude awakening when you thought about it! Couldn't she have been more gentle, sliding out from under him or using a pillow to catch his head? But apart from that digressive trail of thought, she had done it and in a flash he was awake again, his long frame curling before springing up to his feet and pointing an accusatory finger at his emerald-crowned partner!

"Conspiracy! Nia! I never...such a rude awakening!" he glowered, but only succeeded in looking cutely miffed as he circled around her, nose wrinkling in distaste as he walked his way to her back and craned his head over her shoulders, peeking at her out of the corner of his eye as though trying (and failing) to look suspicious, "If this war isn't the death of me, your morning ritual of delivering upon my cranium stern blunt-force trauma shall be! ...Are you in league with our enemies, Nia? Because if you are, I would have you tell them I won't be done in by such trickery, and then I'd have you tell yourself not to get any more funny ideas...I may look quite charitable, but I'm afraid the sting of your betrayal might just send me into a mood from which I wouldn't escape so easily. ...You wouldn't want me in a mood, would you, Nia darling? ...Nia...where's...?" His trail of thought again digresses as he looked around the room and noticed, to his great horror, that there was once again nothing to eat in his immediate viewing range! Would he have to rummage through the shelves again to get some breakfast?! Would Aiko already be up and around, or...? Oh! The War! Yes, that was still going on as well...

"...At any rate, consider yourself thoroughly chastised, my dear," and as if to playfully(?) drive the point home, the self-proclaimed Kuzunoha took her by the hand and brushed his thumb over the back, the other hand patting the wrist in a gesture that almost could have been construed as a 'slap on the wrist'...if he had the heart to muster any real snap into it at all...before rubbing the back just once with that same hand and letting it go. "Now then, tonight's another night! I'll need the full report from the both of you on what you've learned from the town before we plot out the night's...err...plot. ...So come on, out with it."

And just like that he was back in the game, smiling and in control if not entirely...normal? Just another night in the party of Nito Nekata. There never really was a dull moment.

Give me your tired, your poor
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free;
and I shall care for them all.

"Zzzz..." The following night was very heavenly to Aiko, as she did not have to sleep in an uncomfortable tree or stay up until the wee hours of the morning like usual. Before meeting her newly found allies in the home, the chocolate haired summoners would spend her evening up in a tree or high up place where she could not be noticed easily. It seemed to have worked for a while, as she was never disturbed while asleep then. Or whoever saw her could take pity on her and let her lie in her tree like the vermin she was. Sleeping in an actual house felt like a godsend now that she was in little danger of being killed as a result of it. Though she stated up for a while in case either of her new friends tried to attack her while asleep, Aiko eventually fell in to a comfortable and well needed sleep.

As the summoner slept, she could be seen hugging her pillow and using it as a teddy bear as children would do to ward off creatures of the night. Her glasses were out off to a side where they would not affected their position on her face if she slept on them. She really hated having dirt or smudges on her glasses. While they were off, the timid and shy female seemed more cute and confident in herself. It was a feeling that Aiko loved to feel, but came at the cost of not being able to see properly. While sleeping, she seemed very tomboyish, letting out the occasional snore while also drooling a little bit from the right side of her mouth. It was pretty disgusting considering how feminine she acted aside from this features. "Na..." Was all that came from the woman as Nia got up and shook Nito off her. Aiko had been sleeping during it, but after her name was called, she encountered issues going back to sleep.

Next, Nito seemed to have awoken from that, which only made falling back asleep harder. The summoner out her pillow over her head as he spoke, mumbling things that sounded less coherent than her previous comment. When Nigo asked if Aiko was still present, a growl came from her stomach, showing her presence off to both members of the party. "Present...and hungry. " Aiko answered, not opening an eye as she answered the two who wished to know if she was still with them. After a few more second of procrastinating getting up, Aiko yawned and stretched while looking towards her two friends, smiling a bit now she knew they were alright. Nodding ale fly to them, she reached for her glasses and looked towards the kitchen, her hunger driving her next actions. "Do we have anymore eggos? I feel like I am starving."

She walked into the kitchen only to be greeted by an empty menu for breakfast. She frowned and wondered what they were going to do for their situation of not having anything to eat. It seemed like Nito did, as he was suggesting that Nia and Aiko run off and get some supplies as well as information on whatever was around them. If seemed tofu enough and beat sticking around in the house all day. "If we are to gather food and supplies, I recommend grabbing your favorite foods. Since you have a cook, maybe we can spice up some meals now.~" The summoner joked around, looking to. Nia to see her reaction to her friend's plan. Aiko hoped she would not be too much against it. It would make for some fresh air, a good story and some girl time with Nia.

Nia Ueda
"I know, I know... I am sooooorry." Her hands went up in front of her in form of defense, a sheepish smile curling at the corner of the green haired girl's lips. It was true it hadn't been the gentlest way of waking her companion up, but she couldn't help the jumpiness she felt every time she woke up in a place that wasn't home... with someone using her as a pillow. She had been startled, that's all! Not like she loved making Nito's head bounce on the hard wooden floor... "Alright...alright." The girl mumbled as he "slapped" the back of her hand, before she leaned forward, pressing a tiny kiss to his forehead. "There. See? All better." There was a playful smile on her face, though to be honest, she really was a bit worried about the concussion that the orchid haired Summoner could get if his head kept hitting the floor on nights to come.

The air grew slightly serious as the topic of the war returned, and Nia cleared her throat, her gaze shifting slightly to Aiko as the summoner walked in, in a not so good mood. Seeing her grumpy made her smile inwardly, but turned her attention back to Nito. "Yes, well... it's been very quiet tonight... " She had asked Assassin's report earlier that night, but really...there wasn't much to report. She was about to add something, when Aiko's voice took her attention with an idea. "Hm? Go for supplies? Well... that doesn't sound too bad, but..." Her gaze shifted to Nito, and then back to Aiko...her green eyes landing on the girl's hand, where the seals were. "If some other Master or Servant saw you...." she trailed off..., her eyes returning to her own Seal-less hand. "Getting on a fight right now might not be a great idea... though... if we sent your Assassin to scout... Hm... Then perhaps I could...get some information and food as well? No one would recognize me as a Master...so, I should be...in less danger of getting on a fight than you two..." The girl chewed the inside of her cheek, her gaze returning to Nito. "What do you think?"

Sieg Shimazu and The Hound of Chulainn

"The chances that I'm being watched are high, Lancer. Stay prepared...if you see anything, then follow through with the plan." Sieg folded his arms as he approached the old base of operations for the Yatagarasu. The place had become overrun, and many good allies died here, but now there was not even a trace of the damage done outside of the cosmetic wreckage...no stray demons, no bodies...not even a visible guard. Of course, the invisible kind were far more likely, and Sieg kept this in mind when planning this little venture; he would not leave his Servant behind when he searched this shrine, especially when it could mean his own life if he acted carelessly. "It's quite chilly...I wish I could return to Kyushu for some warm weather." Sieg sighed as he let out another sharp breath and watched the visible puff float away, off towards the ruined building. He didn't intend to announce himself lest the enemy take advantage of it, but at the same time he was approaching the door. If they knew he was coming, they would interfere soon...or be caught by surprise as he opened the door.
