I really don't like the idea of having a set amount of people coming into this and then starting. Especially if one or more decide to go quiet for a long time.
Which is why this time, the game is an Open Beta!
The differences?
-> Firstly, this means that anyone can join in and, technically, 'opt out'. This makes it far easier than trying to get the person to stay or post and shiz.
-> This also means that you guys can select who your client player and who your server player is at any time - even post-transfer!
-> Finally, it means that I don't have to explain why someone new joins in every single goddamn time.
What happens is, instead of the apocalypse starting with raining meteors, a meteor will now be sent through a Skaia defense portal to whomever starts playing Sburb Open Beta, client version. The server is fine until he joins the game with his client version.
Prospit and Derse are now linked to multiple 'island' moons, which can host multiple dream selves. This makes life a little bit easier because Skaia will also automatically update when there's new player or dead players, eliminating the tower corresponding to said player with a meteor and replacing it when a new one decides to receive the game with it erupting from the core of the island moon.
In the game, Jack Noir has also been switched to Prospitian instead of Dersite, so he's now aiming to be defensive instead of offensive in the war.
