"Take a left...No..Right..No....Ahh...What IS the way to that place..." Kyrianna grumbled, pulling out the little card that had been found on her doorstep when she had come home with Eirwen from shopping. It was time she got some answers - how or even why she was chosen for the child currently squirming in her arms.
It was obvious that Kyrianna wasn't exactly good with children.
Blue eyes scanned over the directions while trying to balance Eirwen in her arms, "Will you stop moving, please?" she muttered, shifting the infant to a more comfortable position. The child stilled, miraculously. At least she wasn't too warm anymore.
Finally she made it to the little cottage and she sighed, "I guess this is it...Anyone here?" she called out, tail twitching in slight annoyance. Had some come all this way to an empty, abandoned place?
It didn't exactly LOOK abandoned but...Looks could be deceiving sometimes.

Efios made his way down the pathway, following the directions he'd looked up. Truthfully enough, he was a little nervous; would he be expected to account for why he'd recieved the bright-eyed child bouncing in a carrier on his chest, or how he was caring for the baby? He thought he was doing well ... ah, well, no use in worrying.
It was a nice walk, and he calmed a little as he made his way along the path. Tosamah, shrieked delightedly as a flock of brids whirred up from a bush at his approach, and Efi laughed with the baby.
He hadn't been expecting to see anyone just yet, so the person standing in front of the cottage and looking uncofmortable was a surprise. "Ah, hello," he said.

Kyri hadn't exactly been expecting anyone to pop up behind her so when she heard a male voice whose source she could not see, she jumped, jarring the child who had finally started to settle down.
Eirwen, deciding she didn't like to be jarred, let out a shrill little cry and clung to her 'mother' as if she would automatically make everything all right.
"Ahh, Eirwen, love...Please..." She spun around on a heel and looked to Efios, wincing a bit, "You turned it on, can you turn it off?"
A familiar line with Kyrianna. She had said it when Deidra bumped into her and now here she was saying it again. Vaguely Kyri wondered if it'd become a catch phrase with her.

"I'm sorry," Efi said, ears folding back, and leaned forward a little to wiggle his fingers at the baby the woman carried, trying to distract her from being upset. "Hi, little one. Hi, shhhh, hello."
Tosa wriggled in the carrier, trying to turn enough to see the source of the sounds; he babbled, attempting to imitate the sounds his parent was making.

It seemed to work, the sounds of Eirwens discontented cries fading away to laughter. It, however, was directed at the little boy in the other "Big Thing"'s arms. He was FURRY! And and..She wanted to touch him!
Her little hand let go of Kyri's shirt to reach out, "Ahhhhgoooo!" she giggled a little bit. Such mood swings! But at least she was easy to placate.
For anyone but the cat-girl.
One of Kyrianna's hands lifted to brush her silver waist-length hair out of her face, "Thanks..She...Uh, doesn't like to listen to me when I try to calm her, I guess...I'm Kyrianna...This is Eirwen...And you are?" She offered a small smile and held out her hand, carefully balancing the frost child in her other arm.

"Plblblblblt," Tosa said, and reached out for the other baby, ears focusing forward to listen to her. His small tail wagged.
"It'll come," Efi said. "I think. Ah, I'm Efios. The smaller furball is Tosamah." He took Kyri's hand in a firm, friendly clasp. "It is good to meet you, Kyrianna, and you, Eirwen."

"A pleasure to meet you, Efios, and I certainly hope that it does. I'm expecting another baby soon and I can barely handle THIS one..." she shook her head, ears giving a little twitch, "But I think she likes Tosamah there," she smiled then.
She loved children. She just couldn't handle them very well.
Eirwen's piercing blue eyes (which almost matched her hair) simply locked on the furry thing and she gave a squirm, "Eee!"
"Think they like eachother?" Kyrianna asked, raising an eyebrow at the twos interactions. It was cute, but if Eirwen didn't stop squirming around...

"Another?" Efi asked, smiling. "How lucky. They're at least getting along," he added, watching the babies. "You might want to find a carrier like this one," he suggested helpfully. "Makes for less tired arms."
Tosa screeched happily and focused on Eirwen's pale hair. Pretty! He reached out towards it.

"Got one, it's hard enough to get her into clothes...It seems that she doesn't like too much heat. I don't know if it hurts her or she just doesn't like it. I even had to have her crib spelled to keep cool by a mage friend of mine," her face scrunched, "I refused to have the entire house as cold as an ice box."
Which Eirwen hadn't liked at all - but at least she had her cold little haven to go to when things got too uncomfortable. And Kyri knew when that was by loud, shrill screams that sounded like a dying cat.
The little girl looked happily at Tosa and reached for his ears. They looked like mommy's but mommy would never let her TOUCH her ears. She had tried once.
Didn't go so well.

"Poor kid. Poor you," Efi said sympathetically. "Tosa wiggles way too much when I'm trying to get him dressed, but once the clothes are on it's fine. Except for shoes. If he can't pull them off, he HOWLS." He winced faintly from the recollection of that experiment.
Tosa leaaaaaned as far as he could within the confines of the carrier and grabbed for that pretty shiny hair. His ears perked forward, easily within reach of the little girl.
