Pockets of Arcas ~ The Worlds

Welcome to the Pockets of Arcas!

As mentioned, this roleplay is mainly scentered around one specific world - Arcas - and the pocket dimensions that are directly tied to it, and it gives you as many as eight different worlds to visit (although, one of those worlds haven't been explored yet, so no one knows what's there). Having a hard time wrapping your head around it and navigating your way through the worlds? Well, no worries, my love! This thread right here contains all the basic information you need, along with a nice little link to the world in question, to make it easy for you.

The threads marked with the [SoA] are worlds with a very specific setting, and normally you cannot enter those worlds unless specifically invited.
These worlds are:
[SoA] Antia's Power
[SoA] Chains of Arcas~

The subworlds of the world [Omnerias] are very causal worlds where most things are allowed.
These worlds are:
[Omnerias] Roots of Horadies~
[Omnerias] Isles of Noctemia~
[Omnerias] Twin Suns of Diemara~
[Omnerias] Gears of Sidereus~

The world marked with [O] is the free-for-all world where absolutely anything goes.
This world is:
[O] Walls of Malkresh~

And then there's the unexplored world...

Main World - Antia
A world of power

User Image

In the scenter of the plane named Arcaiia is the dimension only known as the Main World. It is the ruling dimension of Arcaiia, in the sense that several dimensions are tied to this world, and ruled by it. Not all dimensions, mind you, but quite many of them. The Main World is, like surprisingly many other worlds in Arcaiia, completely flat. It is basically one giant ocean, with several continents scattered around in it. In the middle of Main World lies Noctaria, a place the sun never seems to reach, and where you'll find the Queen of Night that rules Main World. Surrounding Noctaria, you'll find the four ruling continents - Antia to the east, Caira to the south, Teria to the west, and Vita to the north. On these four continents you'll find the Crystal Towers, housing the people in charge of ruling over the many dimensions laid under Main World's rule. Surrounding Noctaria and the four ruling continents, are the eight charn worlds - Cherka, Laovii, Chema, Namide, Chotay, Ishani, Chirma, and Laynar.

The Main World is not really a large dimension in its own, but it's power is certainly unmatched.

East of the scenter of Main World is the continent of Antia. It is a star-shaped continent, and its rule stretches out over all the eastern dimensions and all the way out to the Outer Worlds - whereof the the dimension of Gaia is the easternmost dimension. Antia is, in fact, the only place where there are gates that are directly connected to Gaia, and a small planet known as Tellus.

Magic follows the normal laws of Arcaiia, and all people are born connected to at least one element that gives them their abilities.

Arcas
A world of mystery

[map will be provided at a later time]

Placed within the same dimension as the Main World, but high above the sun revolving around the plateau that makes up that world, and updsidedown, is the world of Arcas. Many has tried traveling up there, but for some reason it is impossible to reach that high. As soon as one reaches as high as the highest level of the sun, one is met with a barrier of unknown magic, and not even the most powerful of mages, nor the most intelligent of scholars, have been able to break the barrier. Arcas remains impossible to enter, and completely closed off from the rest of the worlds - as if it is in a dimension of its own. A dimension inside a dimension.

Because of its inaccessability, and how you're stopped before you can even pass the sun, it has now become a popular saying that to visit Arcas, you need to be able to fly higher than the sun.

Omnerias - The sister worlds

[map will be provided at a later date]

Originally Omnerias was just one dimension, but something happened in the past - to this day, no one knows what - that caused the dimension to be torn into 4 pieces, and those pieces were scattered around Arcaiia. The essence of the worlds remained dormant as they floated un-noticed around our plane of existence, never finding proper rest.

The pieces were named Horadies, Noctemia, Diemara, and Sidereus.

These pieces had once made up four powerful continents, each dedicated to one of the four basic elements - Earth, Water, Fire, and Air - but for the longest time they existed as empty worlds that no one even knew existed. Then, as the essence within them awakened, slowly, one by one, they reached out to eachother in an attempt to be whole once more, causing the dimensions to be drawn together in a giant collision.

The pieces remain divided, but they are now placed close to eachother, and they've managed to establish a connection - portals - that will allow for passage between them. And, as soon as they had formed this connection, the avatars of the worlds reached out with their powers, now stronger than ever, and started pulling people into them.

Horadies
A world of ever-growing life

User Image

Horadies awakened at the same time as her sister, Sidereus, and never got the chance to roam around on her own. But this is just as well, as she would've been too busy fretting about her younger sisters to be able to properly enjoy her time on her own. She is, after all, a highly protective older sister. As soon as she awakened, and felt the spirit of her youngest sister, Sidereus, she reached out and grabbed hold of all her sisters, causing them all to be drawn together in a giant collision.

She now resides as a pocket dimension, next to her sisters, and bound to Arcas.

Horadies is a world heavily influenced by life and death, in many ways, and most of the world consists of large land masses with small patches of ocean inbetween. Night and day flows normally, as she has one normal sun that circles around her, as well as one moon circling in the opposite direction. At night the lights of far off dimensions reach into Horadies, lighting up the sky like billions of tiny stars.

Being a world tied to the soil, and to the element of earth, all kinds of life magic, death magic, magic related to the physical body, as well as magic tied to the element of earth, is significantly stronger than any other kinds of magic. Which means that a person using nature magic, which is tied to earth, will always be stronger than a person using air magic, as long as they are within the boundaries of horadies.

Noctemia
A world of eternal night

User Image

Noctemia was the first of the sister worlds to awaken, and as soon as she did, she started pulling people into her. For a small while, she stopped close to the world of Noctaria, many, many years ago, and there she became an eternally nocturnal world. But she soon became restless, and started floating around between the dimensions again, picking up travelers here and there.

A lot of time has passed, and Noctemia has seen quite a lot, but now, finally, she is reunited with her sisters, and is whole once more.
She has come to find rest in one place, no longer floating around in search for company, and she is now one of the pocket dimensions bound to Arcas.

Noctemia is a nocturnal dimension with eternal night, and a summer that never ends, and there are no suns in her sky. There are, however, distant "stars" that can be seen, though these are just the twinkling lights of other dimensions that Noctemia is closed off from. There are 3 moons floating around in the sky - the largest of the three revolves around Noctemia and is, half of the time, below it, and the smallest of the three moves around in a circle in the sky, while the middle moon is always standing still in the same spot.

Being a world tied to the moon, and to the element of Water, all kinds of dark magic, shadow magic, magic related to the moon, as well as magic tied to the element of water, is significantly stronger than any other kinds of magic. Which means that a person using ice magic, which is tied to water, will always be stronger than a person using fire magic, as long as they are within the boundaries of Noctemia.

Diemara
A world of everlasting light

User Image

Diemara was the second of the sisterworlds to awaken, and for a brief moment she tried calling people towards her, hoping to find company, yet remained nearly empty and alone. When her sister called out to her, she reacted without tought, reaching out to her with a cry of loneliness, and was pulled towards her sisters in a collision.

She has now found peace, next to her sisters, as a pocket dimension bound to Arcas.

Diemara is a world of everlasting light, as the day never ends, and there are no signs of either moons nor stars in her sky - a sky which she, as a hovering plateau, floats around in. She has two suns - the Twin Suns - lighting up the world, which is what's causing the day that never ends, and the constant warmth. The main sun remains stationary directly above the scenter of Diemara, while its twin slowly revolves around the world and, at times, can be found beneath it.

Being a world tied to the sun, and to the element of Fire, all kinds of light magic, magic related to the sun, as well as magic tied to the element of fire, is significantly stronger than any other kinds of magic. Which means that a person using lava magic, which is tied to fire, will always be stronger than a person using water magic, as long as they are within the boundaries of Diemara.

Sidereus
A world of never-ending starlight

User Image

Sidereus awakened at the same time as her sister, Horadies, and never had the chance to roam on her own, unfortunately. Being the youngest of the sisters, and the most adventureous, she would have relished in the tought of traveling between the worlds, pulling random people into her. But, as her sister called out to her, she could not help but respond, her love for her sisters overcoming her love for adventure, and she was pulled towards them in a collision.

She now remains stationary, besides her sisters, and is bound to Arcas as one of its pocket dimensions.

Sidereus is a world of never-ending starlight, as the even when the day breaks and the sky is filled with light, one can still see the countless stars covering the sky. She has one very small sun that doesn't really give off much warmth, nor light, and circles around Sidereus - which is placed upon a floating cloud - creating day and night. She also has two small moons circling around her, one of whom is always visible during both the night as well as the day. Sidereus is, actually, slightly cold, despite there not being any kinds of winter nor snow to speak of.

Being a world tied to the stars, and to the element of air, all kinds of light magic, shadow magic, magic related to the sun and the moon, as well as magic tied to the element of air, is significantly stronger than any other kinds of magic. Which means that a person using lightning magic, which is tied to air, will always be stronger than a person using earth magic, as long as they are within the boundaries of Sidereus

Malkresh
A world of secrets

User Image

Malkresh is a rather large world, which is divided into six different provinces, with a capital in each. It is placed on what seems to be a floating continent - or, rather, two major continents with a couple of small ones on the side - in the middle of a universe. There are no clear blue skies, as the universe surrounding Malkresh is visible at all times, be it day or night, and yet no one is capable of leaving the continents. There are ways to travel from one continent to the other, but the steam-driven airships used for such purposes can't travel too far away from the continents without just.. Falling to pieces.
It's as if there's some kind of barrier surrounding Malkresh, making sure that no one ever leaves it.

Malkresh is bound to Arcas, as one of its pocket dimensions.

Malkresh is one of the pocket dimension where the laws of nature doesn't quite work as they should, and magic is, well, acting weird, and the frequencies aren't as stable as they should be, making it a highly unpredictable world. It's a world where anything can happen, and it almost seems as if there are no rules of any kind.
