There is always gaming to bond over. I know I play plenty of those to make friends with over.

I currently live with people who control what I do, what I get, how I get it, when I get it. So, thank you for posting this up, for making me aware; perhaps I can mentally avoid it in the future, as I aim to get out on my own and get my own place soon-ish (sometime in the next 6 months to a year.)
I, for example, would love a golden ticket, or an emerald one, but I can;t afford the RIG's.
On the topic of people online... I met the man I love on Gaia. I am drawn back here, time and again, for the people on this site. Even if I never picked up Alchemy again, if I never got my wings, I would still come to this guild, as the people here are awesome.
It doesn't help that most of my friends I know in real life live in other towns and cities, and I myself don't have a mode of transportation. The only real way I have of making friends is through social media sites like Gaia, facebook, and tumblur. But above them all, it's Gaia that feels like home to me.

just a small update for anyone interested. i've been clean off RIGs for 3 weeks. i had to put some space between gaia and me, and i'm aware the guild suffered because of that cry it's hard to find entertainment without the rush of the RIGs, but i'm trying.

I can't speak for everyone and I don't speak up very much, but just know that I am waving a little "Go MaclauMo!! You can do it!!" flag of support for you, hun! 3nodding
