She moved up to the big leagues basically. I wouldn't think the WWE would be merging those titles.

The US and Intercontinental titles on the other hand seem to serve much the same purpose, and booking seems to have completely forgotten about the US title.

They wanted to eclipse MVP's record (because he's in TNA) and this was the easiest way to do it.

I thought they would have her carry both titles around for a little while to attract more attention to NXT. Guess they just didn't want to devalue their top brand title.

Well, for that note, I'm curious as to what they're actually going to do with the WHC and the WWE titles. I'm kinda surprised Smackdown still exists after all of this. I mean it's been their B show for years, and they've made no secret of this.
