Ares was born and raised within Wall Rose, his mother was a very empty headed person while his father always dreamed of his son becoming a Survey Corps member. His father trained him how to fight and to protect himself so that he could easily become a Survey Corps member. Ares always loved to learn even when his father tried to train him to be stronger. After his mother was killed he was devastated and decided it was finally time for him to become a Trainee to eventually become a Survey Corps member.
