a) For Win8, if you are having the issue with the game freezing on you, hover over the game on the task bar, right click the popup window, click restore.
b) Make sure the 'togainu.cue' is mounted. [Use the Daemon tools that came with the download]
Warning: Make sure the place you saved the game is permanent, if you move it somewhere else it may not boot up, especially if you have save files. So move it to where you want before starting it up.
