Hey guys, I figured that because we all have different tastes in wrestling (despite enjoying the product all the same), I figured this would be a good place to post any must see matches, or matches you would recommend to your peers. I posted this in /wooo/, where they have their own collection and nominations, but I figured since I work and write with you gentlemen, I'd like to take a gander into your tastes in wrestling.

Samoa Joe vs. Kenta Kobashi, ROH Joe vs. Kobashi, 10/1/2005
http://my.mail.ru/mail/the_boogeyman/video/891/1052.html

My favorite match of all-time. Kenta Kobashi makes his long awaited debut in the United States against Samoa Joe who was putting on classics during all of 2005. It was Kobashi before he got too old for his own sake, and Samoa Joe who was at the peak of his career in a stiff contest with an over-excited crowd. The match was emotional, with immense story telling throughout the entire match, and it ******** made me fear ever taking a chop to the chest. If you haven't seen this match, you must do yourself a favor and take 28 minutes out of your day to watch this spectacle.

Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro, NXT ArRival, 2/27/14
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1fn97f_hd-cesaro-vs-sami-zayn-iv-nxt-arrival_sport

These guys worked together a lot in the indies, so their chemistry when coming to the WWE was unmatched. A wonderful match that tells the tale of the underdog vs. NXT's Final Boss, as again, both men with contrasting styles make them mesh beautifully together. This is already an early candidate for match of the year, with the Shield vs. the Wyatt Family from Elimination Chamber being a close second

Terry Funks vs Jerry Lawler, Empty Arena Match, April 25th, 1981
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2peOLg5gqKY (with pre match)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B9dPlev9Lc (/w post match)

This is probably my favorite match. In some ways it's just godawful. The wrestling is brief and ugly at best. The presentations is shoddy and grimy. Funk hates Lawler, he hates him enough to want to wrestle him for free, in front of no one. Lance Russell commentates and interviews, him and Lawler do an excellent job of selling the absurdity of the concept. It's obvious neither of them want to be there. Funk puts on a legitimately great performance. Not in the athletic sense, but theatrically. Like ******** Brando. He's hateable, hilarious, pitiful and genuinely disturbing all at once. Sometimes I wonder if the man is actually mentally ill, that shits gotta come from somewhere. On first view it ran me through a weird gauntlet of emotions. Lance Russell opens with "There's a chance you'll never see this." I like that line cause while I was watching it I felt like I was seeing something I shouldn't be seeing.

Painfully cheesy pre-match but Lawler and Funk have an aura around them whenever they wrestle. Lawler with his second-to-none punches and Funk's insanity (like you said) make this a good match. Thanks for the suggestion. As for Funk, only one thing comes to mind...

Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit Wrestlemania X7
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x46mqu_kurt-angle-vs-chris-benoit-wrestlem_sport

I love both these wrestlers really, both great in ring ability. Benoit's technical prowess is always amazing and Kurt's technical and mat technique which earned him that gold he wears. It's a wrestlemania match, would you not expect it to be worth watching?

AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels vs Samoa Joe

Unbreakable 2005 for the X Division Championship.

The best match in TNA history. The three work so well together and put on an amazing match. Great high spots and double team moves.
