Really? So, Pebbos were inflated, but prices weren't too awful and they were stable. Now, just in the past couple of days, pebbo prices skyrocket. 50k for a pebbo WTF?!! It honestly feels like there is just ONE moron out there buying up everything he or she needs for a six-wing wing mastery quest as they get to them, and that's why things are going up in batches instead of all at once... : (
That's just the way it feels, I don't know. It could be other things, it probably even is. It just feels that way when I look at the pebbo market now.
So, yeah. Looks like my quest isn't moving too much for the next couple of weeks, since I've got far too much homework to do to be fishing constantly. I can still watch the marketplace, but intense harvesting is going to have to wait.
I wonder if we could manage to flood the market with fishies, though. Since they'll get used up at such a phenomenal rate, I doubt it.

*Hides* Don't look at me, I was only buying from my fishing friends unless it was below ABP (which was like never) emotion_bigvein It helps that they're trying to go for Top 10 at Durem so I was plenty supplied...
What I ended up doing -- mass PMing all the fishers and asking if they'd become a supplier. 90% of the time I was basically told to "eff off" or get some other sort of selfish remark which made it clear they were trying to inflate the MP prices.
So I feel your pain OTL
I managed to meet the 2% that was nice. One girl was selling me black pebbos & pyrites at 5k and 50k each D: Another guy was selling me slates at 1.5mil each and when ABP went to 3mil, he still wouldn't accept more than 1.5mil.
It also helped that I found a diamondback seller for 250mil D: And I got 2 rubybacks from MoMo when she was trading 800 slates for 1 rubyback...
So yeah... A lot of luck on my part ^^'

And from that, it sounds like it's the fishers that are inflating the price more than the buyers. Maybe that's it, maybe the fishers are buying up the lower priced ones so they don't compete with theirs, then reselling them. Or something like that.

But take this for example: I see a fisher selling 200 slates at a 1mil markup... Of course I want to buy that! It's such a large quantity D: So I send them a PM and ask them if they're willing to give me a 1% discount -- #1 I get a hefty increase in my slate count #2 It is off the MP so it does not affect ABP #3 They get to save on 1% tax. Well their response was "no, I can't do that, I want to be fair and make sure everyone has an equal chance of buying it"... Like wtf? Clearly you just want someone to buy it off the MP so that ABP goes up, then you can turn around and sell it for even higher tomorrow. Which is exactly what happened. They listed it for twice as much... The sad thing is people were buying it >O!!

i have had a couple of incidents where the fishers already promised to sell me for certain price, mind you, it's lmp at that time but when the price increased the next day, they just back out and sell it at market..

XD I'm one level away from getting mine, so past the fishing stage (finally). Too bad people are jacking up the prices of the caches on the MP. No kidding. I honestly find it better to just buy a whole bunch of caches from the bifrost and open them. I almost always get enough gold caches to make it worthwhile. And then the others fill in the gaps.
