Hey guys Melethia here. Now we all know I love challenges in games I've played to death such as Pokemon and Fire Emblem. I came up with this new idea of a Nuzlocke variant called the RNGLocke
Rules of the RNGLocke:
1. The rule of a pokemon faints it is considered dead rule still applies as normal.
2. The encounter rule varies a bit with what as known as the RNG Clause. RNG stands for Random Number Generator. For each encouter, each Pokemon that can be found in the area gets assigned a number and gets put into a random number generator (Other randomizing methods such as dice too that can also work. 2 10 sided or 1 20 sided dice are recommended if using that.) the result you get is what will count as your encounter once you find it. This can be done all at once, parts at a time, or one encounter at a time. No re-rolls by default.
Note: If species clause is in effect, make sure to eliminate any pokemon you have caught from the list before you roll.
Note 2: This can be combined with the Wedlocke rules to make an RNGWedlocke.
Optional Rules: 1. If the pokemon you get has a low encounter rate like 10% or lower you can re-roll for a pokemon with a higher encounter rate. It doesn’t have to be 10% it can be 5% or lower as well.
2. Pokemon aren’t the only thing that can be subjected to the RNG. Item limitations, number of items, number of visits to the pokemon center, and other things can be randomized as well.
I'm a little bit crazy with ideas. Thing is I don't know which game to play. I have a poll set up to see which game you guys would like me to play my RNGLocke on. I'll keep this poll up until April 18, which will be the date I start the run on. See you guys then.
