We should have a thread full of these interviews people!!!

My interview is a cute one with Shinya and Die:

Quote:

To continue the Fact & Pic thing, I translated the interview held with Die and Shinya about their PVs for Gauze. So hope you'll enjoy.

-Gauze- Mode of Adam, Gauze- Mode of Eve
Shinya: We didn't perform, but it was still good.
Die: I hope everyone watches carefully.

-Schwein no Isu
Shinya: When we were filming it, I had to hold a big electric saw and had to walk on a really high, rocky hill. I thought it was going to collapse, it was really scary.
-How high was it?
Shinya: About twice a human.
Die: It's hard to understand.
-About 4-5 meters?
Shinya: I had to walk with a large electric saw, and high heels, and it was hard to walk, I had to be really careful.
Die: Isn't that very anime like? With a mini-skirt and a huge electric saw.
-Is it to juxtapose the different between the custome of the saw?
Shinya: The director said 'Shinya, it's better if you don't hold the saw'. How did it turn out like this?
-How about Die?
Die: I like the part with the gun, the director's orders were for me to pretend to be in a battle, it fit with my custome, it's quite nice.

-Yurameki
Die: It was filmed in Italy, the church is very beautiful, but that church was really strict, it didn't allow us to expose ourselves too much. Toshiya had a mini-skirt so we had to wrap him up when he wasn't filming.
-Then, Shinya?
Shinya: The church was beautiful.
Die: I already said taht.
Shinya: It was very cold.
Die: That's because it's in the winter, the filming date was last Christmas, we got back to Japan on Christmas.
-How about the time difference?
Shinya: We had to eat after we finished filming, we wanted to sleep when we were eating, it was really hard.
Die; We started working immediately after we reached Italy. We were to arrive at night, but because the plane couldn't land at the original airport, so we had to take 3 hours of bus to get to the hotel, and then the next morning was had to film, it was very hard.

-Raison D'etre
-Ah, when I saw the naked women, I was really surprised, and the scenes.
Die: Yeah, the first time that's ever happened.
-HAHAHA, how was it?
Die: Ah, very nervous. When we were filming, it was okay, but it was when we were waiting to film, it was quite hard.
-Didn't know where to place your eyes, huh?
Die: Yes! Especially my shot cause she was sitting me. *laughs shyly*
-Oh!
Shinya: When talking to the director about the perfomance, I was really nervous. I wondered what directions would be given, and when I heard I could do as I like, then I calmed down.
Die: Shinya's shots are quite interesting.
-Was it taken very seriously?
Die: Because it's Shinya's intimate shots! A must watch!
Shinya: When we were shooting, everyone was watching.
-HAHAHAHA, very interesting.
Die: I was doing make-up, and I heard it was Shinya, so I ran over to watch.
-Before Kyo told Die 'today's focus is Shinya', was he talking about this?
Die: Of course!

-304
Shinya: It was decided by the staff member what kind of problems we'd have.
Die: If we chose it ourselves, it wouldn't be fun. For example, if I had a knife, it would be very common. However, if I was holding a Hello Kitty, then it'd be against my image, it'd be very new. But, I never got to hold Hello Kitty and perform.
-Die's hour glass, what did it mean?
Die: My character didn't want his life to be finished alongside the sand in the hourglass, so he kept on turning the houglass, hoping that his life would continue.
-Shinya's feathers?
Shinya: Actually, no one else is supposed to see those feathers, I was portraying someone that's delusional, so I was the only one whom could see the feathers.
-I see, where there any hardships when filming?
Shinya: The feathers would go into my nose, my cloths would be covered with feathers. When the directors called 'cut', manager would and use towels to pat away the feathers on my body, it really hurted.

-Cage
Shinya: We filmed it in an abandoned hospital, the make-up was done in the owner's office. There was a bed, when I was free, I could sleep a bit.
Die: I needed to stand at a really high place, and there wasn't any railing, my back had to face the parts without the railing, I could feel the wind from behind me. It was quite scary.
-How high was it?
Die: 4-5 stories high.
Shinya: Wasn't it 8?
Die: That's too exaggerative. *laughs*
Shinya: Fine, 6 then.
-It's not low.
Die: Ah, that hospital is abandoned, it was scary to film at night.
-Did it only take one day?
Shinya: Cage took two days, one day in the hospital, the next day we went to an abandoned factory... we arrived around 4, started around 6.
-Wow, you really can't sleep.
Shinya; Yeah, no sleep at all.

-Tsumi to Batsu
Die: We had to film it in an abandoned factory, and had to perform on very harsh conditions. The floor was covered with water and oil, it was very dirty, everyone was being careful not step in them when performing. At break time, Toshiya started throwing rocks at those places.
-What a child.
Die: Yeah, when it hit, everyone yelled out. *laughs*
Shinya: I was far away from dirty parts, when we were filming, I kept on thinking if I'd be shot in and played the drums as the same time. The manager came and told me that I didn't have to play anymore, they wouln't get me in.
-HAHAHAHAHA.
Shinya: I thought 'ah, that's how it is', and then stopped playing. And focused more when it was individual shots.

-Mazohyst of Decadence
Shinya: It was just film.
Die: There's nothing more to say.

-Yokan.
Die: White!
Shinya; Very pretty, very much like the feeling of yokan.
Die: It's the happiest image up till now.
-This 'happiest' image, would it contradict the band's meaning?
Die: We're always going for the dark parts, this song portrays the yin and yang's yang side, it suits the song perfectly.
Shinya: I cut my hair after the filming.
Die: Ah yeah, I helped him cut it.
-Is this a ceremony? (Note)
Die: Yes, I represent the family side. *laughs*
-HAHAHAHA
Shinya: I've always wanted to cut it short, after I finished the film, I told the hair stylist to cut it whatever. Afterwards, it was a sigh of relief.

-Mask
Die: This took place in a tour's fan club only live, it's a Live Square. Shinya and I first met there, and performed there with Shinya and Kaoru's group. I remembered this when I finished the live.
-Fate's place?
Die: If it was fate, then it won't be up to us to decide. *laughs*, yes, it's where we first met, and it's also a part of a tour, so this PV is very memorable.
-Talk about memorable, this PV, Dir en Grey was wearing a suit!
Die: Don't you think it doesn't match? The hair style and the suit doesn't match, and our performance, it's a bit over energetic.
-Was it hard to play the drums with a suit on Shinya?
Shinya: The movement of wrists would be uncomfortable, it was quite hard. We had to do it three times, the first time my chair was lowered, so I had to go like this *holds his hand almost like praying* and play.
Die: *laughs*
Shinya: Because I can't stop in the middle!
Die: Very honorable. *laughs*

-Zan
Die; This PV was filmed last year. After we got back from Italy, the third day, we started filming. Cloths and hair were very cool, the place was quite scary.
-That girl that came out of the water really scared me, I nearly cried.
Die: That was very sudden. When we were filming, there was a little girl, and there was a scary music in the background, and there was a guy moving around weirdly, and I had to walk over to the girl like I was a monster.
-HAHAHAHAHA 'Mommy, this is scary!' Was it like this?
Die: It was scary. I had high heels and high hair, almost 2 meters, and I had to smile at her, she left and went home because she was scared.
Shinya: There were a lot of holes, so I thought what if we fell down? We might die.

-Akuro no Oka
Die: It was filmed at a sacred palace in Italy, it was very pretty place. I took many pictures, but at night, with the wind, it was quite cold.
-Was it at night?
Die: It's not only the natural wind, but other man-made wind as well. When the director called 'cut', everyone hurried and wore their jacket.
Shinya: The wind kept on blowing my hair piece in my face, I thought I got frost bite.
-Is it because of Akuro no Oka so you chose this place? (Note 2)
Shinya: Um.
Die: I want to go to another place over sea to film again. This type of music making is good, if the next time we talk about Eiffel Tower, then we might actually go to Eiffel Tower to film.
-Financial wise, let's keep it in Tokyo Tower.
Die: No! That's not good! Akuro no Oka followed by Eiffel Tower, the next, it has to be Manhatten!
-HAHAHAHAHA
Die: If we had longer rest periods than filming periods, then it'd be much better!

Note: The ceremony thing is a kinda... like a tradition in Japan. You cut your hair after a tragic incident or for some sort of honor. You'd have to have a family present in order to make it valid.

Note 2. Akuro no Oka is also Acropolis, which is a beautiful place in Athens, Greece.

Enjoy <3

Quote:
K= Kaoru
D= Die
S= Shinya
H= Host
T= Toshiya

H: Then what about Shinya?

S: Drummer no Shinya desu. I like things that are healthy, but I hate vegetables! Um, I'm a pisces, and blood type B.

H: What type of healthy things?

S: Massage, but it really feels good.

K: (Sorry, he said something, I don't undersand that part)

S: No, because that's painful.

K: It hurts at first, but if you continue, it'd feel good.

T: Um, you have to get used to it first. (Okay... does Totchi do this with Kaoru?)

H: You are intersted in 'health'?

S: Because I'm not healthy.

D: I don't think so. (everyone go 'awwwwwwww')

H: What food do you like?

S: I used to like jell-o a lot, especially last year. Ah, oh yeah, I just bought a computer recently.

D: You're not joking?

K: Really?

H: Eh? You guys don't know?

D: This guy never tells us anything about himself! (Lol... I think Die's getting a litte frustrated...)

K: Before, he had a phone line, but didn't have a phone. After, he bought a fax phone, but told us that after about half a year! The reason why he didn't tell us he had a phone was because he has a cell phone. It's really not a good idea. Oh, we had to hear this from Kyo!

S: That's because Kyo wanted to buy a fax phone at that time, he'll sometimes mention it.

D: That's the reason why Kyo knows? What's called 'sometimes'? Why couldn't you have told us this?

S: It's enough to tell one person, isn't it? The news will spread.

D: What? You should say, 'today, I bought a telephone'. (Right... so you could bug him, right?)

S: It's hard to find a right time to say it...

K: You could use the time in the car and tell us naturally.

D: Therefore, when did you buy the computer?

S: Two days ago. Ah, I didn't think I'd tell you under this circumstance.

D: When you say something like that, I'm really shocked.

H: *laughs* Did you buy the computer to write your songs? (I feel sorry for the host, Die just kinda took over...)

S: I bought a laptop, I use it to go online, not completely just for song writing.

D: Okay, you've talked enough. Next is Toshiya.

Lol... I Seriously think if Shinya talks anymore, Die's going to have a heart attack. Anyways, just a little something, hope you had a good little chuckle.

And... I know this is COMPLETELY off topic, but does anyone have any pics of J and Inoran, from Luna Sea, together? Lol... can't you tell what my latest obssession is....

here a good interview with kyo

Subject:

"Kyo, what colour is your blood? Bad colour" by Kyo

I am going to write what irritated me again this time.
Firstly on fan letters. Number 1: Don't send it and be 60yen
short on postage price, think properly, you should be able to
calculate it properly then send it! Number 2: The glue is stuck so
firmly it doesn't open. In trying to open it from the side, even the
letter inside tore. Why! Number 3: The glue is stuck so firmly even
the letter inside it is stuck together. I can't take it out! But this
would all be okay if I had a paper knife. But I do read all the
letters. People who are anxious that their letter isn't being read
please be relieved. Whilst complaining I am reading them. Let's leave

the topic of letters....

The other day
I went on a taxi. The driver was very unfriendly. 'Where to?' and I
said 'Towards Shibuya', 'Well, if I can get there' he replied in an
annoying way. At those times when I feel annoyed I say to the taxi
driver 'Excuse me. Please give me a paper and something to write
with'. After that, you pretend to take down the name and the taxi
number. If you do that, suddenly the driver's attitude changes and
they become kinder. Please give it a try everyone. As well as this
there are drivers that keep talking to me when I want to sleep. At
those times, you pretend to call someone and say the following. [this
is all said in Kansaiben] 'Oi! Its me! Tomorrow you said you would
have 2 500 000 yen ready for me, won't you. Do you think you can
escape from me! I have it in writing! The person who became Ueda's
guarantor is you right? Tomorrow bring exactly 2500000 yen. If you try
to run away in the night, I'll put you in a drum can, fill it up with
concrete and throw it in the lake. Okay! Do you understand? Bring it
promptly at 5 o'clock to ____san's place. O.k!?'. Then suddenly the
driver becomes quiet. The talk on taxi drivers is finished. Are you
all driving? Let's all be careful. Especially don't crash into
??????[this word was covered/crossed out] and have a photo taken. I'm
bored of cars.

Subject:

About Myself

From little I had the personality of
definitely not doing what I didn't want to do. But if there was
something I wanted to do then I would do it whatever it takes! Well,
there are things on the social aspect that one has to do however
unwilling you are but if I don't want to then I definitely don't. On
the normal person aspect I do question myself though...(laugh). Also
when there are times when I can't say what I want I become really
annoyed at myself. Even if what I wanted to say was wrong.
The vocalist normally writes the lyrics to get a message
across right? But I am writing the lyrics for myself and am singing
for myself. I don't really trust people but really I am just a shy
person who doesn't like being by himself (laugh).

Subject:

Message after

one year of La: Sadie's

Doing La: Sadie's for one year, the
beginning of it was very troublesome But I got to meet lots of people,
made more friends and it was a good experience. From that I think I
have grown [mentally]. I think that from now on there will be many
changes but I hope to learn from my experiences and try hard. Thank
you for supporting us till now. Pleaz wait till the day I can come out
in front of all of you grown [mentally].

Subject:

Me and Dir en Grey

From the time Dir en Grey was made, I
knew it would be a band where all the members stood out. Probably,
everybody would try to stand out. Everything would be jumbled up and
in the end I think we might not stand out. Still everyone treasures
their own individual colour/style and I think that all 5 of our colour/style
will come out.

Subject:

Lyrics

It's all for my sake. There is nothing
else to it. I think everyone has bad experiences and things they don't
want to say and I think there is meaning in letting it out. It's no
use always expressing nice things, also I don't have much interest in
doing so. I feel that I can be the base. I think that bad experiences
can be helped compared to other people's experiences. Read the lyrics
and think 'This person...is more in trouble' or 'What I thought was
bad is still not serious'. I think that is how my lyrics should be
used. But it's not like I'm writing it for other people, in my case. I
am writing it all for myself. You don't have to try to understand, or
else I don't want you to look and read the lyrics. It is a world that
is to be left alone.

Subject:

Fans and Concert

People who say they like dir en grey second
best do not have to come (to live). Especially....I don't know about
the other member's feelings...but being my fan and saying you like me
the second best, don't come! I don't have any interests but being the
first. It doesn't feel good to be told by a girl you like that she
likes you the second best....it's like what do you mean....what do you
mean second best. Fan club concerts are done in very small places.
People who come aren't people who come for a laugh. I think that those
people (who come light heartedly) are not coming to watch. People at
the back and staring into space are not watching. There has been a
person who was at the back and not participating in the crowd, not
paying attention. I find that puzzling. Why does he/she come? I think
if he/she isn't going to do anything he/she should go home...even if
that person is in the fan club. I know there are people who want to
watch it calmly but those people can come and watch us in the big
hall.

Subject:

When I sing

I think it depends on the person but
before I sing I always eat a lot of food. If I'm hungry I don't have
any strength. It becomes a feeble voice and not strong. Also I sleep a
lot (laugh). I'm even sleeping before I sing.
I don't practice at all and my greatest advice in
practicing is...I think being good or bad at singing has really
nothing to do with anything. If you want to improve your singing, you
shouldn't listen to CDs of people who sing badly. The people who are
good at singing are the people who breathe in the right places. As you
listen to the singing , gradually your body remembers and you don't
have to purposely try to. In reverse, if you are always listening to
people who are bad at singing you remember the bad techniques. You
should listen normally to lots of people who are good at singing.
I don't listen much to foreign people's music. Firstly
because I don't really understand the words (laugh). The expressions
in English and Japanese are totally different. It's not fun listen to
them. So whenever I hear foreign music I listen to the music and not
the words.

Subject:

Musician or lyric writer/poet?

I sometimes think which one I am. But
I think it would have to be a musician, being a vocalist of a band.
The band can be expressed in one word as totally me. The members are
people who understand each other. I think it would be my hand or leg
if I supposed it as part of my body. That's why it has to be these 5
members. If one was to leave the band we would have to split up.

Subject:

My Family

I always had the faith that I was
going to be big (famous). But I was told by my parents 'it's a handful
to sell' and 'What kind of hair colour is that! Start working'. But I
always had faith that I would be famous.
-So your parents support you now.
Yes. But I rather that they didn't. They didn't support me once so I
still want them to say 'Till when are you going to be doing this!'
Translated by iori

--- Youre from Kyoto, right?

Yes. I was in Kyoto until I was around 19.

--- Do you like Kyoto?

Yeah. I really like Kyoto, the
atmosphere of quietness and culture, all the temples.

---

What were you like as a young child?

I wasnt really a good child, was I?
(laugh) Ive always been obstinate.

--- What did you do for fun?

In elementary school I rode my bike far
away, looking for new parks and stuff. Things like that were like
ecstasy for me.

--- Did you have lots of places to play?

There were lots of parks. Also, I had a
friend I often hung out with whose family ran a lumberyard. So we
climbed the place where they shaved the logs like it was a jungle
gym, built a fort at the top

--- Seems like a place where youd get hurt.

(laugh) Ive fallen from the top of a
jungle gym but I didnt hurt myself. By the time I thought,
Im falling, I was already on the ground. It hurt, but I
wasnt even scratched. I was unaware of it happening. How did I
fall, you know. But dont they say when people jump to their
death, they go unconscious on the way down? I guess it must have
been like that.

--- You played at dangerous things, didnt you?

Once we were swinging around a fire
extinguisher that had fallen into a dry river bed, and my friend
threw it and hit me in the head.

--- . . . (all completely stunned)

When I got hit in the head, I thought I
was gonna die. But I was unhurt (laugh). I went home dazed, saying
my head hurt.

--- The friends you were with must have been disconcerted?

Well, I guess so. As for my friends, I
didnt like doing things as a group, so it was only 2 or 3 people.
Group activities are no fun.

--- Did you like elementary school?

I hated all of my classes. I didnt
have interest in a single thing. History, science, seeing a tadpole
turn into a frog I thought, what possible use could I have for
this in the future? I still feel that way now. I couldnt
understand why everyone was studying. When I saw someone studying
frantically, I thought, for something totally useless; what are
they, stupid?

--- You mean you had already realized this in elementary school?

Right. But I thought, arithmetic and
Japanese, I have to do. Because things like addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division are necessary. And you have to at least
know kanji. But I hated homework like, learn these kanji for the
next class. Like, why do I need you to tell me that? For example, if
I needed to learn all these kanji for that year, if they gave out a
list and said you need to learn all of these kanji this year, then
youd be able to learn them at your own pace.

--- Thats certainly true.

Isnt it strange that youre forced
to learn just these, overnight, and get graded on that, and they get
mad if you cant do it? I couldnt stand that. I was against it.
So I didnt really study Japanese either, although now I kind of
think I should have done it. Everything else I was better off not
doing, I think.

--- Better off not doing it?

Yes. Theres no need to waste
playing time frantically doing something you wont even be able to
use as an adult. When I was a child I thought playing outside was
more important.

--- What a cool elementary student.

Everyone says its time for
science and studies, without really thinking so hard about it. I
dont know if youd call it cool, but I thought doing that
was really stupid. I guess I was an unusual child. If you want to be
a scientist you need to know math, and if you want to be a
volleyball player, you should play volleyball. But its not
necessary for me.

--- What did you want to be, Kyo?

My parents always told me to have
dreams. If I think about it now, I feel those are very good words.
Ive never wanted to do anything else besides being in a band.

--- But you probably didnt decide you wanted to be in a band until middle school, right?

Thats right. Before that, there
wasnt anything I wanted to do. Is that a unique thing to worry
about? Not having anything you want to become.

--- Before deciding to be in a band you must have liked music first.

It wasnt the music. It was the
visuals. I liked anime. Cool anime. At that same time I knew
BUCK-TICK, X, fxxxing pretty. Like, Sakurai (Atsushi) from
BUCK-TICK. That really shocked me. Like, this person is a man?!

--- How did you first know about BUCK-TICK?

I saw clippings a girl in my class had
pasted onto her desk. So I asked her, whos that? The music I
liked was from transformation anime like Go Ranger, I liked the
music from the fight scenes, it had a feeling like running full out.
BUCK-TICKs music was dark, so I thought it was kind of different,
when I heard X, the fast, violent feeling it had, I thought this
is it. It was from there, that I heard a lot of CDs from visual
bands.

--- Before that, you had no interest in music either?

No. I thought, why does music exist,
its not necessary. The music shows only had dull stuff, too. The
only thing on the music shows that I liked was TATOO by
Nakamori Akina. That song alone I liked for some reason.

--- How did you come to be a singer?

Listening to lots of different bands,
the person I generally liked was the vocalist. Sakurai-san was by
far the best, though. The one person I liked as a guitarist was
hide-san. I thought he was so cool as a performer, and so I put up
his poster in my room and I bought a guitar.

--- Was your first instrument a guitar?

Well, I hated the flute and stuff in
elementary school (laugh). So I borrowed music scores from my friend
who played guitar, but I couldnt just suddenly be able to play X,
not knowing anything but fast songs. So like, the guitar was a bust.

--- You give up quickly (laugh).

If I cant have fun at something the
first time, its no good, for me. And a guitar has 6 strings, and
I couldnt hit the chords, so it was no good. So I thought, what
about bass? There are only 4 strings, and no chords. So then I had a
lot of fun with that, but I felt somehow, like my self wasnt
coming through like that

--- You felt you couldnt use an instrument to express yourself?

I guess so. I didnt have any interest
in piano, either. Anyway, I didnt originally have any interest in
singing, or in music, so thinking about that, it feels like this is
incredibly unexpected. For someone who never liked group activities
to be in a band, and to be the singer, no less.

--- Since gaining interest in being in a band, Kyo, do you think youll be
doing this in the future too?

When I bought that guitar, I had a
feeling like, this is all there is, I think. I said I hated
music, but now, I buy CDs and cassettes by choice. I think, I
want this, I want to do this. That is to say, its like,
this is all there is. And I told my parents Im not going to
highschool.

--- Because you wont do something thats useless?

Right. Even though my parents were
utterly pissed. Nowadays if you dont go to college, you cant
get a job, you cant be anything, so what will you do if you
dont go to highschool!? they said. But I thought, this is all
there is. If I quit doing this, theres nothing else I want to do.
There probably isnt anything else I even can do. In fact, Id
be a totally useless person. If I became useless, it would mean my
parents were right. If that happens, then Ive lost, right? So I
absolutely wont lose. For me, being in a band is something I
wont just walk away from, its the most important thing of all
to me.

The Earliest Memory you have

I don't remember which one was the earliest
memory. I have a faint memory of the house I used to live in when I was 2.

The first time you went shopping by yourself

I think I bought carrots or turnip in a nearby
grocery shop when I was around 5~6 years old.

The first time you went to school.

I felt very lonely when I first started my
primary school as I knew no one. Instead of a fresh new feeling, it was a
surrounding that I had never been in before so I had a bad feeling, telling
myself 'Do I really have to go to this school from now on?'. Till now I
hated my surroundings to change.

The first time you learnt something new

The first thing I probably learnt was swimming.
It was near my house so I was allowed to go there. When you're young, you
find it fun to go to the pool don't you? I got a badge saying that I could
swim 25m. I remember feeling very happy when receiving each badge. I am very
good at crawl and back-stroke. I am especially fast at the crawl. But
breast-stroke looked as though it made your feet hurt so I didn't like it.

The first time you were scolded

I think it was probably when I was in primary
school. On the way home from the temple, there was a toy shop and I said
"I want that" and I was replied "no" for the first time.
I can't remember exactly the toy I wanted but it was probably the robot type
toy.

The first time you felt as if you made a mistake.

When I was in primary school, I shoplifted a
chocolate which had a Gundam toy with it. The shopkeeper didn't catch me but
just out of coincidence, I was seen by my mother who had come to shop in the
same departement store. When I arrived at home and got scolded by my mother,
I thought 's**t' and as she had seen me doing it, I couldn't think of an
excuse.

The first time you kept a secret from your parents.

I think there have been quite a lot of times
when I kept a secret from my parents. The one I can remember just out the
top of my head is that I stole a bicycle and rode on it not that long ago.

The first part-time job.

I've done so many that I can't remember which
one is the first one I did. I think it was a factory where they packaged
goods when I was in secondary school. I went with 3 of my friends and we had
to pack some fried chicken bentou(pack-lunch) but we made holes in it on
purpose. Then we would say 'there's a whole in this one' and eat it.
Everyone was doing it. The things we packed that had been touched with our
fairly dirty hands were sold. That is why I don't eat much bentou
(pack-lunch).

How did you spend your first earnings?

I think it was probably either a CD or a game.
I used to save up all my New Year's money and buy a toy but with the money I
earned, it disappeared very quickly.

The first time you bought clothes for yourself

I think it must have been either a pair of
trousers or a T-shirt. This was non-band related clothes, just everyday
clothes.

The first time you put on make-up.

When I was 16. At that time, I was a 'lo-di' (Kreya:
helper maybe??) of a band. There was a 'session' in an event where I was the
vocal of the band with all the 'lo-dies'. That was the first time, I put on
make-up. I watched other people put their make-up on and looked at various
musicians photographs. So I observed quite a bit. If I remember correctly, I
didn't just stick to one person's make-up I gathered up different bits eg
'this person's eyebrows are nice'. In the past, I liked Hide-san's make-up.
At that time, make-up wasn't popular but if you now look at the leaflets of
my previous bands, they don't look too bad. It looks like I was quite good
at putting make-up on from the past.

The first time you changed the colour of your hair

When I was in chuugaku. I have forgotten what
year I was in but I dyed my hair light brown. It just happened that it was
going to be the school's photo day and so I was made to dye it back to black
the next day. This had nothing to do with my band. I was simply bored with
my own black hair. When you're in chuugaku, black is not very popular.
However, my teacher said 'Your hair is very brown' and when I replied 'Yes,
it's brown', he then said 'On the way home, let's buy some dye'. I couldn't
escape from him and he bought me dye and I died my hair by myself at home.

What kind of place did you first live in by yourself?

It was a good place (laugh). When I first
started band, around 18 and 19. But before that, I lived on the first floor
but my parents lived on the second floor. So already then, I was living by
myself.

The first time you cooked

It must have been egg related cooking. Mix the
egg, add the 'rayu', put it on rice and eat. Well, it depends on the person
if one regards that as cooking (L). Also I remember helping my parents to
make a hamburger. I don't really like cooking. When I feel hungry, I want to
eat immediately. Otherwise I am not satisfied as I don't like the time taken
for cooking it. That is why there are lots of times when I just buy the
food.

The first time you felt kindness.

I don't remember exactly but I think it was my
parents. Whenever I wanted to go to the amusement park in Kansai, my parents
always took me there. Wherever I said I wanted to go, they would take me.
Come to think about it, they were very kind to me. There have been other
times when I have felt people's kindness but I can't remember them right
now.

The first time you felt like committing suicide

I have thought of committing suicide. I really
have. It's too sad a story to tell.

The first time you experienced bereavement.

My grandfather. I used to fight a lot with my
grandfather and I thought I wouldn't be sad when he died but I cried a lot
at his funeral. It was when I was in third year of primary school.

The first time you fought with someone

My grandfather mentioned previously or my
father. My grandfather was the father of my father and he was very stubborn.
I am very stubborn too and so we fought a lot. I hated studying and I never
did any work so when I showed my father the bad report, he hit me a lot.
Then I said 'I would leave this house' and he replied 'Then take off those
clothes and go because I bought them for you'. So I stood outside naked. It
was at the time when snow was about to come and was very very cold. But
after I stood there for 3 ~4 hours, my parents eventually came out and
apologized to me. I don't fight much with my friends. Although I get
annoyed, I don't do anything.

The first time you drank alcohol

When I was in secondary school. I always left
the door unlocked to my room on the first floor as every night my friends
would come. If you lost to a bet then you had to drink a mixture of drinks
which had 50% alcohol in one go. I nearly died once as that was the first
time in my life. My head spun round and round, I threw up a lot and couldn't
get up. It was very hard for me. From then on, I can't drink much alcohol.
It doesn't go with my body. My parents can drink a lot and I am the only one
who can't but I don't particularly want to drink so it doesn't really
matter.

The first time you tried smokin

When I was in the first year of secondary school. I tried in the toilet my
father's cigarettes. I choked a lot.

The first time you were felt glad you were born

When I found what I wanted to do. When I find a person who I love.

The girl interviewing them obviously doesn't know anything about them. She's all asking Kyo if he's ever been depressed and crap and if they were ever going to sing happy songs. What are they, AnCafe? O_. No offense to her or anything ^^

I cracked up when Shinya talked. His voice is just so funny xDDD <33
