Twenty years after Ash Ketchum became a Pokemon Master, chaos rose in kanto region by the hands of Team Rocket. Under the guidance of a new leader, Team Rocket took over the Kanto Region and shortly the Johto region. Their heinous acts involved but were not limited to kidnapping trainers, executing those who opposed them and stealing Pokemon from their trainers. The Gym leaders were the first lines of defense but were defeated and their Pokemon were killed. With the gyms gone, they were replaced with harsh Rocket higher-ups called "Overlords" to run designated cities and towns, to make sure no one would oppose Team Rocket.

Due to the chaos in Kanto and Johto, the age that a child could leave and become a trainer was bumped up to sixteen, though many families fled the Kanto region altogether, fearing what would happen if their children became trainers in the violent region. However, after reaching the age of sixteen, many trainers have decided to travel the Kanto region, not for the badges or for the glory, but for justice for their Pokemon friends and to attempt to stop Team Rocket before they can spread their evil to other Regions. A rebellion was brewing, would they succeed or fail like their precedence. It's all in your hand.

Level - We expect you to follow Gaia's TOS. We expect this RP to be semi-lit to Literate. No chat speak or one Liner. You are expected to be able to write at least 1-2 paragraph. We expect you to write like it's a story, meaning don't use *this* for actions.

Activity Level - Post at least once a week, if you need to be away longer, give us notice. For inactivity there will be activity check every month. by joining this rp, By joining this roleplay you agree that once you are deemed out, Your character might be puppet-ed. This is to maintain flow within the roleplay due to people quitting without notice.Its main purpose's to make the character leave without leaving a hole in the rp.

General RP Guidelines - NO GODMODDING! THAT MEANS YOUR POKEMON CAN'T BEAT EVERYTHING THAT COMES YOUR WAY! Meaning you have to loose a battle sometimes. Romance's allowed, but keep it PG 13

Joining - PM Amarzyciel profiles and title them, "RIP Raticate" so I know you read the rules. If you send me the profile without this title, it will be ignored entirely and you will not be accepted.

Plotting - All plot has to be discussed by the party involved and approved by one of the moderator before it can be implemented.
Best to be done in OOC.

Pokemon Restrictions - You can carry up to 6 Pokemon at a time. You may also have a Pokemon from any of the ones that currently exist. Your Pokemon can learn up to 6 moves and only moves it can learn. That being said, this RP is set in Kanto and Johto Region, meaning you won't be able to encounter out of region pokemon, unless the trainer already caught or own them beforehand. This is to keep it true to the setting of our RP. However, there can be exception. Check below.

Team Rocket has stolen and brought various pokemon for their use and some of them might have been liberated.
If A character wanted to own a pokemon out of region AFTER the character's created,
you will need to provide a background story and send it to one of the moderator to verify.

This rp use up to 6th gen pokemon (XY), but no mega evolution to keep it special. There might be future event to trigger it. Each character has a maximum chance to own 1 shiny pokemon. You can't have legendaries pokemon in your party, but they may make appearance

Layouts - Information that needed to be included are: Picture, name, location, list the pokemon you have out. There's no need for pretty layout, as long as it does its job. Feel free if you want to make it pretty though. For your picture, do keep it reasonable sized so it doesn't overwhelm your writing post or stretching the page. If you need help in making basic layout, all you need is ask in OOC or PM it.

Kanto Region

Indigo Plateau

Pallet Town

With Team Rockets rise in power, Pallet Town really experienced very few changes. While it's still a rural community: it has increased in population, it has built a Pokemon Center and has become a partially gated community. The laboratory that once belonged to Professor Oak is now the base and home of Matthew. The fields near the town have been converted to dairy farms for Miltank.

Viridian City
It hasn't changed much though the borders of the town are all walled off, the path to victory road has many rocket checkpoint making it almost impossible to infiltrate the elite four ad victory road. Viridian forest has been surrounded with a fence and more dangerous violent pokemon put inside. The forest has now become the training grounds for team rocket. He has a facility where some of the residential areas were where they do research on where the legionaries of all known regions are at. he also has a large factory where they make team rocket gear pokeballs and other things most of if not all the towns people work here. the gym has been converted into a base and he keep a small homage to the original leader Giovanni.

Rock Tunnel [X]
A naturally formed underground tunnel that served as alternative road to Lavender Town exiting to route 9.At the entrance there's an abandoned building that is a pokemon center. It still function secretly but now moved to the basement.The other entrance to Rock Tunnel is route 10 to Cerulean City.Team Rocket has a laboratory inside of it, but it's long closed down and the place's in the verge of collapsing.It's closed down and few dared to go in due to how dangerous it is now.

Lavender Town
The Pokemon Tower has been really famous lately; however, the top few floors are a base for the Overlord and Executives. The Radio Tower has been put under severe censorship as done so with the town, and the radios play propaganda mostly. Sometimes there are torture messages, but most tortures are "private" within the Pokemon Tower, though screams are heard. There are a few public tortures and definitely public executions.There's also a huge crater in the middle of this town. Severe censorship has made it punishable if one dares to think of it, even if there's no proof. The rumor is a rebellion caused it before the new Overlord took control. Although the crater incident can be censored, talks of rebellions are common and unable to be contained. The town is run completely by fear.

Many talk of the rebel and Team Rocket's confrontation.

Route 8
A route connecting Saffron with Lavender Town. A pokemon farm is built there by Team Rocket.

Pokemon Farm

Saffron
Saffron, mostly the same though now it has a slums near where the old gym was.It's full of scientists and experiments from the silph co. They are number one in the region for genetic testing in the like.
* Due to Rai's dimensional transport to Saffron there's an electrically charged inverted pulsar in the sky above.

Celadon
Due to Vergil's shrewd business skills, Celadon has mainly remained Kanto's center for business and industry. Part of the city was destroyed during the takeover however, and that's where most of the city's troublemakers gather to plot against Team Rocket. The other parts of the city have remained mostly untouched. Honestly, if one were to look passed the tightened security, one could be forgiven for thinking that there was no takeover in the first place.

Vermilion City
Vermillion has become one of two main Trade Centers of Kanto, due to it's docks for trade ships to run routes to Olivine in Johto. Where the empty lot once was, there is now a booming, yet strictly run trade center that towers over the majority of the city's other buildings. The neighboring Diglett Tunnel is being used by the Rockets to mine various trade materials by controlling the native Diglett and Dugtrio population through a joint project with the Olivine Overlord.

Cinnabar Island
There used to be a town in Cinnabar Island until the volcano in the island erupted and destroyed the town. Aside from some trees planted on the far end of the island as well as a small private home, is as desolate as is expected of an abandoned island. The most striking feature of the island, aside from its smoking volcano, is the large prison built upon the island. The overlord that ruled this desolated Island is none other than the Warden of the prison.

Team Rocket

The Leader - The mastermind behind Team Rocket. Nobody's higher than the leader.

The Overlords - The overlord is the lord of the city. They are the rule.
Overlords manage their designated city and keep the people living there under their control. They have the right to change and makes rule concerning their city. The Overlords are in charge to find way to strengthen Team Rocket. There is an Overlord for each city. (Those who choose to become overlord have higher responsibilities such as to be actively involved with others in the OOC.)

Executive - Executive is also known as admin. They help the Overlords to manage the city. They rank below the overlord and serve as the overlord's hands, eyes and ears. The Executive's duty range from paperwork to as head of the mission the overlord give them. Sometimes Executive can have double role such as being a scientist or spy.(feel free to contact the person roleplaying as Overlord if you want to collaborate or work under. It's an optional thing, but help to open up more choice of what you can do.)

Grunt Leader - Grunt Leader as the name suggests is the leader of the grunts. Their job is to take command of the grunts.

Scientist & Head Scientist - This profession is employed by Team Rocket and are in charge of experiments. They hold higher rank than Grunt and comparable to grunt leader. It's because their profession is highly regarded by Team Rocket. Experiments range from genetic mutation and cloning to anything in between. These aforementioned experiments will be discussed later.

Team Rocket Officer - Team Rocket is huge now, so there's a lot of people working in their organization. People to manage the place, most office worker goes here.

Grunt - Grunt is the lowest rank in Team Rocket. Often found in a group.
They are the lackies that get ordered around by their superior. Their Pokemon are generally unevolved and common due to Team Rocket's policy of reserving the stronger Pokemon for their higher ups.

Spies - They hold rank dependent upon whom they work for. The profession of spy is to keep watch on what's going on inside and outside. Their specialty is gathering information unseen.

Neutral

Trainers - This is the majority of people in the Pokemon world. A trainer is someone who catch, care, and battle with pokemon. There are many classes that are classified a trainer and their alignment is generally neutral.

You can add class/occupation that's not listed in there, provided with explanation to be approved. They may choose to help Team Rocket or the rebel or perhaps just happens to be in the wrong time and place.

Police Agent - Is an officer of the law. The people outside are aware that Team Rocket won't be satisfied with Kanto and Johto alone. International Police has sent many agent into Kanto and Johto, but many disappearance are making them careful to move. Something is holding them back from declaring war with Team Rocket. Many speculate that there are Team Rocket members even among the higher up that's holding them back from doing so.There's dissatisfaction within and some starts to move in secret to at least help.

The Rebelion

The Rebel - A rebellion is brewing within Kanto and Johto. The Rebels are currently not a unified organization, but it is more of a label for someone who opposes Team Rocket and causes unrest. They strive to free the Kanto and Johto region from Team Rocket's iron rule.
