Terran hadn't necessarily been in a rush when he headed through the common area of the tree, in fact, he had been going rather slow, listening to conversations as he passed by other faun.

Was anyone talking about the events of Venus' party. It was unlikely considering they were banned from attending the party, and talking about it would be a confession. That was why Terran hadn't told anyone about the events yet, although he had barely seen them himself, he had been more concerned with getting Moana out of that party he had dragged her to. Even then, they had plenty of naiad allies who could have informed them about the snake like creatures without getting whatever punishment was in store.

All was hush, at least in that regard.

Terran wondered if anyone had been caught sneaking back in from the party, he had been careful to delay his trip back to the tree as to not look suspicious, and even then he traveled through the hollow of a tree during the evening.

Terran's ears flicked as he heard his own name being called out, it hadn't been one of the words he had been listening for, but it stood out all the same. Terran turned around to spot his captain. "Oh, brother Gulliver. Good to see you." Terran spoke formally, wondering if his captain had an assignment for him.

Terran listened carefully to his superior, his shoulders dropped from a somewhat rigid stance to a more relaxed stance once he realized that it was a social calling and not professional. "Oh... no. I wasn't really doing anything. Cider sounds good." Terran agreed. Meeting for cider... Terran thought back trying to decipher if there was anything to the faun's tone. Seemed normal enough, not like he might be in trouble or anything.

That decided, and feeling relieved Terran walked towards the pub, "Heard anything of interest lately?" Terran asked casually.

"Oh, right. That will be good." Terran agreed. He hadn't been sure what cider was in season, he wasn't much of a farmer-type faun. As Terran took a seat across from Gulliver, he nodded his head in agreement with the captain's statements. "The alliance was a good thing..." Terran said that with a certain naiad in mind, but after putting her in danger a second time, he was pretty sure that was never going to happen.

"Oh yeah, 'hooves and hearts' day. Those fauny sure have some interesting customs of their own." It might have been clear from the way that he talked that there was something on his mind. "It was good though, I'm just glad she told me about it." Terran said as he took a sip from his cider to cover up for the fact that he didn't know anything about the holiday or celebration. In fact, he had not the slightest clue who Pinkie Pie was. He could only assume she was one of the fauny.

Terran noticed the quirk in Gulliver's brow, it allowed him to catch on to the fact that he was not on the right path with his cover-story. In fact he should have just stuck with his original plan of being out scouting. After Gulliver started talking about a cannon shot, something that Terran didn't even know anything about, he decided it would be easier to revert to his original cover then talk about something he was clueless about.

"That must have been something to see." Terran hoped that his story transition would be flawless, he couldn't remember the exact words he had used to allude that he was there, but hopefully he had been vague enough. "I wish I could have been there, I was out doing some personal scouting."

Terran glanced down at his cider, taking a long sip before finally looking up at Gulliver. In truth, he wanted to tell about what he saw, the faun needed to know the island was becoming increasingly dangerous, but he also needed to be clever in how he shared this information. "Have you ever been to one of Venus' parties?" Terran paused. "I have," his voice was low and quiet. The year before this... it seems her parties are notorious for bringing new troubles to our island." Terran might get in trouble still, even if he cited noble reasons for attending, but it had to be known.

"So... I scouted out the party, to see what calamities Venus brought with her this year. I know the chieftain didn't want anyone to attend, but we couldn't be completely blind. I have experience with her parties, so I took the task upon myself." Terran explained. He took a sip of his cider, another pause.

"It was as I thought..." And he had brought Moana right into that danger again. "

Terran instantly regretted his confession as he analyzed his captain's face. They weren't so close that he could trust that there would be no consequences for scouting without orders and against orders. There was no going back now... and perhaps it was noble to face the sword, so to speak, in order to warn about the newest danger on the growing list of faun concern.

"There was a lot of chaos," In reality Terran was too busy trying to make sure he didn't put Moana in danger again to thoroughly understand what was happening, but he had caught some glimpse as they slipped through the exit. "There were... these pae everywhere. They were like snakes... definitely looking to cause some trouble... maybe even eat pae?" They had seemed to be minions of the crazy lady who had trapped him and Moana in the maze the previous year, but there was no real telling, but in his eye they were certainly evil. "I wouldn't be surprised if they were still prowling near the temple."

Terran nodded his head, glad that he was coming clean to Gulliver. By the sound of it the faun community didn't know about it, because if someone in the inner circle didn't know... well... "Oh..." Terran took cue and lowered his voice as well. "It was that crazy woman..." Terran would likely never forget her name. "Eris... she's the one who trapped many of us in the maze last year." The faun couldn't understand how someone could get so much pleasure out of torturing others. "I don't know what she did... but they came to the party on her invitation."
