Just wanting to start up a general chat thread to give me the opportunity to meet and get to know some of you!
How is everyone doing?
What do you have going on in the guild right now?
Throw anything out there!

I am currently locking myself up in the Invertebrate Zoology lab here and working on a huge research project I'm doing for my Marine Biology class.
My 30 minute Powerpoint presentation is due in about 2 weeks and I am just getting started! '
It's on learning and communication in Octopus and Cuttlefish.
Awesome stuff but super work intensive.
My research paper will be due shortly after and that needs to be about 30 pages as well, so I'm going into panic mode!
But, I have my scores station playing on Pandora, which is helping me along.
Loads of good game music, movie scores and chill songs to work to.
Love it! heart

Yay bio lab ! I used to be studying for marine biology , but then I totally changed my major and went with something else . Not for lack of interest though , I was totally committed to my interdisciplinary degree to go into International Marine Conservation and Shark Awareness and Education . And then dance and acting happened ><

I was under the impression that all octopi communicated using karate chops

That sounds just as wonderful, though! Acting and dance are incredible. I have so much interest in them but zero talent. Thus, biology.
Hahaha, and they communicate in all kinds of ways! Karate chop would be awesome. Mostly through skin color, though!

Sure thing! I may hit you up about that! I just joined another roleplay outside of the guild, so we will see how well I handle juggling that with everything else. If I can do it just fine, I would love to start a 1x1!

No, My parents actually. I take the train to work. My work is pretty classified but that is mainly due to the fact that I do work in other companies names. When people crash their cars it calls my work and I direct our 911, towing police ambulance etc and keep contact with the driver. Before you ask, yes people have died during these calls and no they don't pay me much money. Those are usually the only questions have so.

I actually know a disbatcher, which I am assuming is somewhat similar. It seems like a really stressful job. Do you ever have trouble dealing with all the crazy stuff you have to deal with? I know my anxiety would be out of this world doing something like that, but I also know that there are plenty of people who are completely unaffected by such things.

I'm one of those not effected. If you're not you don't reach my position in my job and stay at the more basic fender benders and such. It's training that makes me relaxed about but then also I'm not on the scene so that saves me a bit. So my job is not so stressful for me and a call is ended and case closed when I put it away and start a new one.
