They really had no choice other than to fight, because the0racle saw it as the only way she was going to get strong enough to fend off the collapse of the game. It didn't really help that rocking horses just seemed to fling themselves in her path. She wouldn't have minded the Alice treat so much if it didn't... remind her of ALICE.
