Personality: Sit Down. Shut Up. Do as I say. Cai is in charge and you'll just have to deal with it. This is his show and he'll run it whichever way he likes. He wants his fingers in every little pie and everything to be done his way. Cai is very much the micro-manager. He'll constantly be on others backs, making sure they're doing their work properly. He likes to always have something productive to do. There are things to be done and people need to do them NOW not later or when they feel like it.

Cai believes he's doing what's best for those around him though many will just find him bossy. Cai will question anyone and everyone's methods if he doesn't think they're the best. "Why not do it this way? It would go a lot faster if you did this..." ect. While he won't make friends with those he bosses around, if given leave to do as he wants, he gets good results.

Cai doesn't like people arguing with him. He's very stubborn and set in his ideas. Things will go a LOT smoother if you'll just do as he says. As a healer he's shown a talent for it. His serious attitude applies itself well to his chosen career though his bedside manners leave much to be desired. In fact he's quite blunt in telling you the truth and exactly what he thinks.

Very casual friendships are easy enough to maintain so long as he surrounds herself with followers. He hates being challenged for his position. If you want someone to give you direction he's the guy for you. He doesn't respond well to authority himself unless he agrees with their means. If he wants to learn something by all means he'll put everything into it but as stated, if he feels there's a better way to do it he'll find it and demand a change of methods. Should he be punished for something he'll not take it kindly. How DARE they reprimand him when he was only trying to make things better?! They're just stubborn old hidebound wherries. He'll show them.

Cai strongly believes in what he does. He loves his home and wants what's best for it. Whether that means challenging old ideas and traditions or upholding them he'll do everything within his power to improve the lives of everyone in the Weyr according to his idea of how it should be. He values self motivators and those with a strong work ethic as well as education and people with open minds.

He has a petty streak. He's not above doling out his own form of punishment...such as numbweed on the rim of your cup. It's just his way of solving an annoying problem that hasn't responded to other more conventional methods. (as in shutting up when he tells you to) He never does anything that could seriously harm someone and he doesn't see these antics as pranks. Just teaching them a lesson that they're apparently too dim in the head to learn.

Though he's interested in dragonhealing, his favorite subject of study is Herbology. He loves learning about Pern's flora and what type of uses and dangers they may have.

He doesn't react violently, at least not physically. Sure he'll imagine punching someone in the gut but he won't actually do it. The only time he'd strike someone is if they were attacking him or invading his personal space in a way he dislikes. Even then it would take some button pushing before he really lets loose on you. (Hugs and kisses are a no no) He's not above yelling and scolding or insulting someone though.

As far as romance goes he doesn't want anything to do with it. It's frivolous and if what his mother taught him is true, only gets you hurt. He walls off the little part of himself that says this person or that is cute and tries to ignore any obvious attempts at flirting. Falling in love is something he's determined NOT to do.

While he can be friendly with people who don't rub him the wrong way, he doesn't ever take the time to relax. He'll chat with people while doing chores, or eating meals. But during his down time he wants to be doing something. Sitting around lounging in the sun or playing games makes him feel very awkward. He'll usually prowl the weyr looking for someone who needs help with what they're doing or he'll use his free time to further study the dragons or his herbs.

Physical Description: Generally the first thing noticed about Cai is his obnoxiously bright orange hair. Coupled with his pale skin and thick layer of freckles, he stands out in a crowd. While Cai is female in body, he identifies as male. He takes advantage of his height ( 5'9"), his lack of curves, thick straight brows, and less-than-delicate jawline in developing a more androgynous appearance. He wears his hair straight just beyond his shoulders or tied back in a small tail.

Cai wears practical clothing, loose pants, high necked shirts and vests or a jacket over top with any sleeves usually shoved up to his elbows. He has a preference for the color green, but will wear any color so long as it's not bright, girly, or garish. You'll never catch him in a skirt or any other article of 'girl' clothing if he has a say in the matter.

History:
Chrysicai was born and spent his early life at Ista Sea Hold. His mother was a weaver and his father a blue rider who wooed her after a saucy night following a far flown greenflight. After a brief romance he fell disinterested and left her with child, telling her to drop it between as he wanted nothing to do with fatherhood. Distraught with no options, she kept the child, naming it after him in hopes of regaining his affections. S'ris was true to his word though, even though the child obviously bore the stamp of his genetics he wanted nothing to do with her or her mother.

Cai grew up fending for himself for the most part, his mother regretting her decision to keep the child. She had trouble seeing Cai's bright hair and freckles without feeling that betrayal all over again. The one thing Cai learned from his mother is to hate his father for leaving her and that men weren't trustworthy. Despite the distance from the older woman, Cai felt protective of his mother and took everything she said to heart.

Thankfully, Cai was a naturally independent child. Stubborn and sure of himself he fought his way to the top of the pecking order among the hold children and later, healer apprentices. He'd develop a circle of others who were kept more acquaintances than actual friends. When he came of age, he threw herself into his chosen craft much like he'd seen his mother do. His career in healing became his passion and sole focus in life.

Chrysicai never did date or have any form of romantic or physical relationship with other people. Simple things that come common to others, hugging, kissing, even shaking someone's hand, he avoids whenever possible. He finds the whole situation uncomfortable in a way he can't really pin down. It just turns him off to think of or be presented with any form of attachment. It's only through thinking of patients as subjects of study or a series of symptoms that he can examine and treat them when needed.

After 7 turns of training, Cai gained his journeyman knots and was transferred to Ista Weyr to get some hands on experience.
