On one hand, he was rather happy to be away from the Tulgey Woods and its killer snakes. On the other, having a piece of candy attacking him out of nowhere was not a pleasant replacement. Burn took the hit with a grunt before managing to get off some quick strikes of his own. He officially did not trust the food of this place.

She had been wandering around like normal when stumbling upon the Gryphon from her last battle. Noticing he had his hands full with a candy monster she stepped in. Whip cracking at the candy as she called out to him, "I-i apologize for not responding to you, I-i was a bit tied up.." Shyly she sent a heal spell to him.

Seeing the Dormouse was, in high contrast to the creature he now fought against, a truly sweet surprise. He smiled ever faintly towards her--for the brief moment he could bring his attention from the candy opponent anyways. "All's well, lass. Merely wanted tae give you proper warning." A warning he was in a sense using now. Taking one hit from the candy, he barked a quick word of thanks to her for her healing before socking the candy with another blow of his own. Then a second round, for slight hint of revenge. The candy wobbled and fell back--and tried rushing at GS instead. Grunting, Burn made sure to get between her and the assault to the best of his ability.

On a nod she too focused on the candy, pleased when Burn appreciated the heal and the smile. Even though small it meant a lot. Then she sent out one more heal, though small since the rushing candy had her closing her eyes. Upon opening them to just a scratch from its long claws she noticed Burn in front of her. "T-thanks!" Feeling inspired by the sight she whipped around him and hit the candy to knock it back.

"We're gettin' pretty good at this exchange," he shot to her as she healed him just in time for him to try and block another hit from the candy to her. His claws slashed, catching chunks of the candy and ripping them off. The candy looked like it was pretty wobbly now, much to his enjoyment.

"Mhm!" She giggled softly and took a step back as he shielded her again. Readying her whip she waited until he moved before striking the final blow. On a small cheer she sent him one last heal before putting her whip back around her. "Yay-y"

The heal was at that point unnecessary in a large sense, as she'd taken the creature down, but he wasn't about to tell her that. Instead he'd given a short, one breath laugh, he was so amused by her dispatch of the candy. "You're making a habit of that," he noted lightly, moving over to where the candy previously was to pick up.... a card? He raises a brow at it before turning back to her.
His brows furrow a moment, a small debate before nodding his head to her. "This might be... unorthodox, but you're welcomed tae my true name." He scowled a tad. "I've little use for this... username. Prefer my own name, Neithan."

Laughing she fiddled with the end of her whip before following in step with him. As he picked up a card she picked up the other that remained. It was a pretty good attack card, one she pocketed away. Glancing over the other she rose her own brow for his face.
Was he really ok?! Did she need to heal him again?
Lute frowned softly before he spoke, as his words came out she couldn't help but fly into him for a hug. It was Neithan! While he was big and scary in real world she knew him and it made her happy that her dream included him. Because it meant she wasn't alone.
"Ah! Sorry-y heh, I just got excited..." Blushing she unwrapped from the larger avatar and backed up. Pointing a finger to her pink locks and announcing to help ease the situation. "It-t's me Lute.." Whispering the last part she peered to a path ahead. "We should probably mov-ve though before more c-creatures come.." Jogging ahead she left the area, expecting him to follow.
