Mariposa loved the park. There was just so much about it for her to enjoy.
Dirt of the ground, gum on the sidewalk, dirty people sleeping on things or up in things... Yeah, it was her type of paradise. She could almost move into a tent out here if she weren't living in the dorms. Or going to school. Or a teenager. Or, just... If society didn't frown upon it, really.
She liked the most odd of the benches, the one that sat right in the middle of the path, and was typically surrounded by weeds. Sure, it didn't look terribly pretty to others, but to her it was the most beautiful spot in the park. She tapped her feet side to side, her mismatched glitter stockings reflecting the sunlight, and adjusted her vest over her chocolate stained hoodie. Maybe someone would join her today so she wouldn't have to bask in the beautiful cacophony alone? She sighed, leaned her back against the bench, and smiled as the wood cracked against her back. Such a pleasing sound!

Zeven loved the park, but for an entirely different reason. He was in love with the fortune teller who frequented it. He had ignored Mariposa and made a beeline towards the fountain, hoping to get in line. He had a guess about the fortune teller's true identity. His true love, Min, hadn't made an appearance in over a week. He had a feeling that the fortune teller, unmasked, was his Mini.
He inched his way closer to the fountain, pulling out a five. Maybe if he confessed his concern for the sprite, and explained that he felt a strange connection between himself and the fortune teller, he'd admit who he was. Then Zev could spend the day with his sprite!

Lifting his gaze, looking at his stalker of sorts through his veil, the Fortune Teller nearly sighed. In fact he would have if he didn't think that it would ruin the image that a Fortune Teller should have. He needed to be mystical and mysterious, he couldn't facepalm over the fact that Zeven was back yet again. He had a feeling if the guy had more money to his name that he would probably chase the rest of his customers away and be the only one that he dealt with... which would probably make things a whole lot more complicated.
He drew in a deep breath, let it out slowly, then looked Zeven over, "I can look at your lines, my dear Stalker, but I am sure that they haven't changed since the last time that I have looked them over you know." He told him, feeling the overwhelming desire to chase him off... but he did give him a five. Five would at least pay for his attention for at least a little while since that meant he could go buy himself some sort of tasty snack or another once he was done working, "Alright, alright. Do you have a question for me? A way that I can help you that I didn't help you in the passed few days?" He asked in a teasing manner.
As he asked this he found himself leaning back a little bit, preparing to study his lines... when he spotted a few others in the air worth noting. Strong ones... that were attached to Zeven somehow, though if only in the most tenuous manner, as though they would vanish the moment he got any further from whoever they were attached to, "Mmm, isn't that interesting?" He mused to himself, lifting one gloved hand up to trace one of those delicate lines, curious where they went.

Nearer to Mariposa then the other two was Dmitri, walking along with his arms crossed behind his head, feeling more then a little bored. He wanted to be off doing hero stuff! Fighting bad guys, saving princesses, doing awesome dragon stuff! Instead here he was being bored... he didn't want to just be wandering like this! Why wasn't something happening? Something interesting? Something... Ooo... was that a can? A soda can if he had to guess, sitting right there in the middle of the sidewalk.
He looked from side to side for a moment before he rushed forward toward it, giving the can a kick. It flipped end over end for a moment before splashing down in the fountain. It didn't splash anyone, which was good, but still that was an epic shot! Tossing his hands into the air the blond enthusiastically yelled, "GOAL!" Before he burst out laughing, finding that to be a decent enough distraction even if it wasn't quite enough to stave off the bored wanna be hero feelings for too long. Now if there were more of them perhaps, a lot more, he'd be able to hold off the boredom better.
At least that was what he thought until he spotted the chick in the veils sitting at the fountain, "Huh... Fortune Teller, huh? Maybe she can tell me where to go to find something more interesting to do." He mused to himself, a hopeful tone in his voice.

"I told you, I've met my true love. But he's missing. And when I met him, you weren't here. I don't think that's a coincidence. Tell me the truth, will you? My line connects to yours, doesn't it? You're my sprite." Zeven leaned closer to the fortune teller, a fierce hope blazing in his eyes. He needed to find Mini, he had to. He'd started feeling a connection to one of his classmates, and to the fortune teller... "I'm confused," he confessed. "There's a boy in my class I feel like I should know, but I upset him. Its like--what I feel with you."
Why was his life so complicated? Ugh! "Are you my sprite? Why don't you stop disguising yourself and spend the day with me?"

Mariposa tilted her head to towards the fountain at the sound of the can's splash. She adjusted her oversized shamrock glasses, that she had found outside of a club after St. Patrick's day, and hopped up from the bench. Who was that sitting at the fountain? She wandered closer, opting to lean over a nearby trashcan to listen in, before gasping at something shiny inside of the can itself. A silver button, right there at the bottom of the can! It was perfect for her bedspread back at the dorms! She had to have it!
Eagerly she lunged into the can, only to fumble and fall in face first. She allowed herself to stay in this odd position for a moment more, procuring the button as she did so, and laughed as she hopped back out. Shiny button acquired, hair covered in dirt and papers, and a bunch of strangers to chat to. How could this day get any better?
"Hey there! I'm Mariposa!" She exclaimed, grinning. "Which one of you kicked the can into the fountain? I think it adds a lovely touch!"

There was a moment where the Fortune Teller went utterly still when Zeven started to throw about his wild accusations about who he thought that he was under his veils. He sat there in silence, starring up at him, before he said, "Such things are a bit out of left field, don't you think? Guessing that I am a... what was it you said, a fairy? You do understand that sounds a touch strange, don't you?" He asked of him. He really was a weird one and a little too close to the truth for his liking. It made him want to push Zeven into the fountain and be on his way... well, until someone else decided to take a dive in, making it seem more like copying.
He turned to look over at the girl in the water for a long moment, looking confused when she spoke of a can getting kicked into it, but a blond nearby was only too happy to take the blame for that particular incident. He stood up for a moment, about to take his leave... when suddenly he just felt dizzy. All around him he could see various lines of fate, all different colors, all connected to himself and these three, the different colors going in all directions... but some seemed to connect them though he couldn't quite tell why that was. All he knew was there was some very basic connection.
Settling back down he lifted a hand to his head, rubbing it, wondering if the heavy costume and the heat were getting to him. Even if that were so it wouldn't explain the sudden burst of lines around him. Weird. Shaking his head he turned to give Zeven a glance, "Hey, Stalker, can you get me a drink by any chance?" He asked of him.

Dmitri trotted over, looking down at the girl in the fountain, giving a bit of a laugh. What was she doing? She looked interested in the can... hopefully that wasn't hers or else he'd owe her a drink, huh? At the question posed to the group of them he couldn't help but to laugh, holding up a hand, "That would be me. Good shot, huh? From all the way over there!" He pointed to where the can had been sitting, giving a bit of a grin.
He turned to look at the Fortune Teller, wondering for a moment if he was alright, he did look a little dizzy... but when he set to ordering about his 'Stalker' he guessed that he was probably alright. Did that mean that he could ask him questions now? He dug into his pocket, pulling out a crumbled up bill, and stuffed it into the jar before asking, "So! What sorts of questions do you answer? Can you point me in the direction of adventure? Can you tell me about this girl that I like?" He asked in a rush, hoping that the guy could help him with all of those various questions for the ten bucks he'd given him.

Zeven shook his head at Rhys' response. "I know you're lying. I can feel the connection between us. You have to be Min. Or else that boy... he--" the boy's eyes widened slightly. "I suppose he could be, since I--" he hesitated, glancing over at the girl in the fountain. He wrinkled his nose. Huh. She was an odd one, wasn't she? Diving into the fountain!
"Not me," he said, "I don't disrespect water in such a way." Blegh, littering. He blinked at the request from the fortune teller, blinking. "Sure! Just wait one second!" He darted off to the nearest soda machine, selecting a 7up. He hurried back, studying the fortune teller fretfully. "Here," he said, offering it to him. "You should take off some of those veils. You might be too hot."

Mariposa nodded happily at Dmitri's reply.
"Yes, it was an excellent shot!" She exclaimed, bouncing on her heels. "Do you play sports? Because, if you don't, you should, you're aim is very good!" She grinned and moved to stand next to him, once again pausing to adjust her hoodie-vest combo top. "Sooo, what's your name, stranger?" She asked.
Then, Zeven's response caught her attention, causing her to blink. Disrespect water? Water had feelings? She stared at him oddly, tilting her head to the side, and shrugged. "Hey, whatever floats will float." She replied. "If it sinks, fish it out! It isn't going to hurt anyone if it just drifts along."

There was a moment that the Fortune Teller felt as though he were sudden trapped in a cuckoo clock, surrounded by a bunch of weirdos... there was no escape though, not when they were paying him. Best that he sit by, let them chatter, and do what he could to answer what questions were tossed his way... provided of course that they were the sort that he felt like answer. As it stood though they were of no interest to him, yet. That was until he saw the blond male give him an offering of money... before babbling off a list of questions that weren't exactly connected in anyway. He was lucky he paid well he thought to himself.
"I will need to see your hand so that I can follow your lines and figure out where the answers to your questions lie." He told him, holding out his gloved hand for that of the blond. Once he had it he set to looking over the lines that were connected to him, "Hmm... Let's see here." He said, deciding to do his best to focus on him for the time being while the others chatted around him, "I am not sure about the adventure, those that seek adventure will find it, you just need to keep looking. A good place to check... ahhh, let me see... for you would be downtown. There is much there that might be able to quell your desire of action."
Turning to the next question, and the next line, he couldn't help but to stare at it. He was glad for his veils since they hid his expression at the moment. The line looked... weird. It was as though four lines were woven together to make one strand connecting this boy to... well, who knew what. A hydra perhaps he thought to himself sarcastically before he said, "Your love line is faint, you might have run across your loved ones... erm, one, but nothing has been really established yet. If you don't work at it the tenuous line with snap and you will need to start again." He told Dmitri before releasing his hand.
With that he turned to give Zeven a glance, accepting the soda, before he said, "I will keep my veils, thank you, they are a part of my job." With that he set about carefully drinking the soda by lifting the can under his veils so he could drink without fear of being found out.

Dmitri felt a bit like a puppy, his attention all over the place. He wanted to talk with the new girl, listen to what the Fortune Teller was saying, as well as figure out what the guy was talking about when he spoke of disrespecting water. So much to try to listen to, so little time he thought to himself. He answered the girl first, "My name is Dmitri and yeah, I actually play a lot of sports. I am in some of the sports clubs at school in fact." He explained happily.
Giving the other boy a glance he said, "Not sure about the whole 'disrespecting water' thing, I was just trying to make the shot was all. No harm done, it's a fountain not like a pond or something." That should be fine, right? It was just a pool of water and not even one with animals in it. It was probably fine that he'd kicked the can in he decided. Feeling that everything else was taken care of his attention was then back on the Fortune Teller who had taken his hand so that he could 'read his lines'. Whatever that meant.
He stood there, head cocked to one side, listening to what was being said, "Downtown, got it." He'd try there next, it seemed as good a place as any to look for something interesting to do after all. Maybe he'd find those guys he'd fought in the past there? That would be something. As for the love thing he couldn't help but fret, wondering what he might have to do to get the attention of the one he was crushing on. He didn't want the love line to break after all... meaning he had to find her again. Somewhere. Somehow. No matter! Maybe he'd be lucky and she'd be downtown too? He'd definitely have to check then!

Zeven took out a ten from his pocket, shoving it at the fortune teller. "Its all I have, but if I give you this will you go out with me? Just to help me figure things out. Please. I feel connected to you and that kid--and Min, and I'm confused. I don't care if you wear your veils all day. I need to find out. And if you aren't either of them, maybe you can at least help me untangle my lines." If the fortune teller refused, maybe he could save up. Maybe a fifty would do it.
It'd take him a while to save a fifty. "I don't like littering," he said, glancing at Dmitri and then Mariposa. "I'm Zeven, nice to meet you both. I'm not in any sports. Or anything, really." He returned his attention to the fortune teller, frowning. "Your health is more important than your job."
