Abilities* A fire mage, she works mostly with emotions such as: passion, rage, and vengeance. Thus when working on any spells or potions, she often creates scenarios to cause these feelings in others in order to give power to her magic.
Personality* Clever, patient, and detached. She is an old creature, no one really knows how long she has been alive, or where she came from before becoming a vampire, however, age has made her wise. She is distrusting of others, and often plays on other people's emotions in order to manipulate situations to her advantage. Overall, Lyssa is an intelligent and crafty vampire whose goals are never known.
Weakness* Lyssa is very secretive of her past, and anyone who learns of it is often silenced before the truth can become unearthed. No one knows what it is, but it has the powerful potential to hurt or change her completely. Additionally Lyssa is often overcome with bouts of fatigue if she uses her powers too often without enough rest or blood in between. Due to being "blood bonded" to Jessierys, her immortality is not only tied to hers, but if she refuses orders, will feel physical pain. It hasn't stopped her from disobeying in the past, but it is far from pleasant for her.
Background* Was born through a pact made between her father, and the Goddess Styx in Medieval England. As a child she was gifted, and "blood bonded" to the royal line, kept immortal so long as their blood line continued. Her Goddess mother was furious that they would dare enslave her daughter, and killed her father out of spite. However, she could not free Lyssa from the bond without killing her. Lyssa was made to be a magical servant, to complete the dark desires of the line. She waited for almost a century, forming her own plans for revenge until she was introduced to Jessierys. Jessierys promised her both vengeance, and freedom from her chains. Lyssa accepted the offer of the change, hoping to become her own person without the invisible chains of servitude. Unfortunately she had been tricked, and Jessierys had lied. Once changed, Lyssa was bonded to Jessierys. For centuries, she did what was asked of her. Despite the lie, she saw Jessierys as her saviour, and was treated well. Lyssa regraded herself as part of Jessierys family, as her changeling daughter. However after the years she began to resent the bond, wishing again that she could have complete independence. When the issue was raised, Jessierys raged at Lyssa, and the two fought. After some time, she began to hate the woman who tricked her into being re-bonded. She left Lyemar and sought refuge at Baelin, keeping her parentage, and identity a secret from all.
