Ah, the small town of Barton. In the center of this small town is the central square, which houses a large paved circle of grey stone, and a large fountain which is decorated at the for cardinal points by something which are vaguely hippo shaped.
Going outward you can find the Bar, where regulars like to frequent; there's the Coliseum where various art competitions take place, which range from Fashion-show runway contests to poetry readings and art galleries.
There's also the news station, where Cindy Donovinh reports Channel 9 news, The Butterup Cafe where you can get some food and flowers (Sometimes food made of flowers) made by Rina, or you could stop by and say hi to Rufus and Ian.
But those are not the only things you can find in Barton...
Behind the more prominent, oft visited buildings lies a smaller cluster that sit right up against the walls of Barton town.
One of these little buildings is a small but tall place; it looks like it's seen better days. The building is covered in wisteria, so much in fact that you can no longer see what the walls were made of through the vines and pale purple flowers. The lawn is grown rampant with mushrooms and flowers and tall grass, though considering what's inside, one can't help but think it was intentional. The roof is covered in green and brown moss. The only signs that the structure is a building at all is the windows, which show candlelight flickering inside, and the door, which looks to be made of heavy oak.
Inside, the place is rather cozy. There is a Fireplace on the far end of the room, across from the entrance. Heavy oak tables are pushed up against the walls, laden down with fragile alembics, retorts, tubes and vials and little burners. They're spaced apart rather well, with about six in total. Save for the equipment, everything in here seems to be made of tough and sturdy stuff. Even the fire has a very large cauldron over it, and currently it seems to be bubbling away with some strange green goo.
There's a stairwell leading up to the second story against an adjoining wall, and near the fire are a group of armchairs. Next to the Fire is a large chalkboard where alchemy forumlae and mathematics are all scrawled in chalk.
Welcome to the local Alchemist's guild.
