Carac's excitement dissipated when he heard Lynora mention her father. "We miss ours, too. I suppose we have that in common," he commented. "Would you like to talk about your family? If you don't mind, that is." Part of the reason was because he wanted to know what it was like to live in a family with parents.

She tried not to seem weak, although they might have seen right through that. "Maybe another time." she said softly, folding the picture in half so she wouldn't damage it much more. "I'm not really feeling up to talking about the past right now. And I'm getting tired. I think I should just go to sleep."

Carac was a little disappointed, but had to respect Lynora's wishes. "Alright, allow me to prepare a mat for you," he said as he moved to a bare spot on the ground. Taking a fur blanket from its spot leaning against the wall, he set it down as flat as it could go. "You may rest here."

"Thank you" Lynora smiled as she laid down on the furry mat. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep, it had been such a long day and it was time for it to come to an end. She only hoped that she wouldn't be captured by the prince again, surely he was still angry at her for what she did. So why couldn't she stop thinking about him as she lay there?

After the food was done cooking, Cedany decided to step out to retrieve Sreda as well as check once again for signs of their father's return. "Don't leave the den," she reminded her brother before diving through the watery exit. It wasn't the best place to call home, but it would have to do. The king's guards could not get to them without taking off their heavy armor, so that was one nice thing about living in an oversized beaver den.It was still afternoon, but a lot seemed to have happened to Lynora in such a short time that it was no wonder the poor girl was exhausted. Carac just wished there was more that he could do for her. Anyone who knew about time spells was either dead or in a totally different land. Unless they were willing to risk missing their father's return, they could only wait for a traveler to come by.
