User Image Magnus was on a mission today, and surprisingly sober. With a new wife and a handy thrall in tow the large, lumbering ex-reaver had little use, and little time for such luxuries. He'd never admit it, but marriage to his beloved almost seemed to rekindle his old spirit: the one that didn't get drunk off his a** and spent his time sparring. Okay. The sparring thing wasn't going to happen anytime soon, but Magnus was looking into something other sort of deal. Gala had suggested training young lions who wished to become reavers, and by the stormlords balls he was actually considering it.

So happy was he to finally have a purpose again, he wanted to do something 'nice' for his wife. Now, he was not a lion of romance, and wasn't completely certain what all that might entail, but he figured a good place to start was with a bard. And the one bard that had made an impression on him lately was the rainbow brandishing young lad, Bifrost. Now if only he could find him!

It was an adjustment going from a thrall to the whole pride to an owned thrall, but in truth it wasn't as bad as Halda has first thought. Granted, she still didn't get to see her sisters all that much, and that worried her, but at least she wasn't getting beaten or yelled at. She glanced over to the slow, swaying body of the old ruddy lion she called master, and a small smile crept on her small. He'd never admit it, and neither would she, but Magnus took her everywhere he went and she suspected he enjoyed her company. It was a ridiculous thought, she knew, but at least he and his wife hadn't turned out to be the monsters she thought they were.

Now they were running errands, and she couldn't help but feel some of them were a bit of a wild goose chase. Flowers, choice cuts of kills, honey even, and now the services of a bard? Magnus' attempt at romance at least promised to be amusing. The little thrall was silent next to her master despite her musings, though when they had actually passed Bifrost's den she quietly cleared her throat and spoke softly, "We are here, Master." She watched the old lion stop, glance back at her and then the den of Bard Bifrost, and then chortle in good, boisterous spirits.

"So we are! Good eye, Girl", he laughed, loud and with nothing held back. He raised a massive paw to ruffle Halda's little tuft of a mane, much like one would praise a dog, and lumbered his way over to the entrance of Bifrost's den. "Oy! Bard, if yer in there we got business to discuss!", Magnus called, once more in good spirits. Though, with how naturally loud and boisterous his voice was, it could be hard to tell.

User ImageFor once, Bifrost was in his den and not out and about getting into trouble. In fact, he hadn't even been up yet today. Last night had been long, interesting and inspiring so he surely deserved to sleep in. He must have had some bad meat at some point, because he had a headache. The bard squinted at the light from the den opening, and tried to decide if Magnus sounded as if he wanted to beat him up or if business could actually mean business. It was hard to tell with old reavers. Either way he wasn't going to hide in here like a coward.

Bifrost took a drink of water from an animal skull in a corner. It was a bit stale, but it would help him sound less raspy. He had to take good care of his voice after all.

"Coming," he called and then stuffed a special herb into his mouth for a quick chew before spitting it out. He only had time for a very quick grooming, but even after an all-nighter he had his reputation to think about. Looking disheveled was not an option. His mane was not as fabulous as it should be, and his braids needed tending to, but it'd have to do. He could always seek out Tindra later.

"Magnus," he said, friendly grin on his maw, "One day I'll kill you. And you brought Halda too, lovely."
