"for they reveal ones true self"  Hawk let out a short laugh. "you don't know the half of it." Hawk said as he walked with Double. "well, everypony has glowing eyes, if that's what your asking, I plan on getting some glasses, that's what there called right? and have them enchanted to hid the glowing." he said giving a sigh as he watched Double hop across some rocks. doing the same, nearly slipping several times, began to talk in short bursts between jumps. "so what does.... this have to.... do with us.... being here again...." he said slipping on the last rock and falling in the water. as he swam to shore, surprisingly easily against the current of the water, he got up on land and magically took off his cloak, and shook dry. "remind me to leave the cloak at digi's place." he said to himself laughing off his misfortune of getting wet. "as I was saying, what could possible require more then one to acquire?" he said as he twisted his cloak, ringing it of the water that it had soaked up.

Double Trouble
The moment Night Hawk slipped on the last rock, Double raised her right hoof to her face and placed it flat against it, letting out a long sigh. She took several steps backward the moment the nocturnal shook dry, in order to avoid getting wet from the flying water drops.
"I'm glad you asked...", she exclaimed unenthusiastically as she continued walking forward, "The Neighagra Falls are special... not only because of their beauty, but because of the high concentration of Stardust they have. Stardust are the atomized remnants of asteroids ignited by friction in the atmosphere, huge quantities are dragged from the Crystal Mountains and deposited in the base of these waterfalls."
They finally got out of the woods, in front of them were an enormous river, and, on the distance, the base and brink of one of the many waterfalls of the Neighagra Falls. The loud noise of falling water pounding in her hears forced her to raise her volume when speaking if she wanted to be heard, "During this time of the year, the Draco constellation shines upon the Neighagra Falls. And it is now that, attracted by the Stardust and guided by the light of Eltanin, the Draconis Cosmicus... or Draco, for short, one of the 88 species of Cosmic creatures in the world, appears in this place. What we're going to do is gather a sample for study purposes."
The blue unicorn took a look around, there weren't any dragons around... at least not for now. She made a gesture with her hoof, motioning to Night Hawk to follow her as she walked toward a small brush situated not too far from the river and sat behind it, keeping her eyes fixed on the endless flow of water in front of her. "One should appear soon... by the way, didn't you say you needed some Moon Dew?", that's when she realized it never occurred her to ask... "And exactly what kind of spell do you plan to carry out with the materials you were looking for earlier?"

"for they reveal ones true self" Hawk nodded as he followed Double. "so we're going to see a dragon, cool, my first dragon." he said smiling as he remembered about the moon dew. "oh that's right the moon dew, could you hand me a beaker?" hawk asked as he placed the cloak down when they reached the clearing with the river. beginning to channel magic into his horn, a lens of magic formed in the air, and almost right away the moon light passed through in began to take a liquid form. setting up 4 more of these lens the moon dew dripped from the top one to the next lens, being purified in the process. "just place the beaker beneath the moon droplets." he said as he focused his mind on collecting the liquefied moon light.

Double Trouble
The blue unicorn turned her head to look at Night Hawk and his little spectacle. For the first time since both of them got off the train, her expression changed to one of of mild surprise and curiosity. Without saying anything, Double Trouble's horn glowed, a small bulge appeared on her cape and one of the two beaker she bought earlier came out of it. The piece of glass obediently floated right under the falling droplets. "So... you're not going to tell me what kind of spell you're going to perform with those ingredients? Is that beaker going to be enough for whatever it is you're going to do or you're going to need the other one?" , she asked, looking back at the river in front of them.

"for they reveal ones true self" Hawk smiled. "its to travel outside ones body." he stated as the drip intensified into a drizzle, filling the beaker quickly. "but that will only require a drop, this much will last a good year or two." as the beaker filled he took a cork and toped the beaker as he let the spell fade away. "and besides, it also helps negate the negative effect of spells as well, think of it as a healing agent." he smiled as he levitated the beaker into his cloak. letting out a sigh he looked up at the moon. "the moon mother luna brings to us every night is a real gift, it has helped my people for generations." he smiled as he returned his attention to Double. "so how do we collect this, item..." he said not really sure if it was the star dust or something off a dragon.

Double Trouble
Double Trouble didn't say anything, but she thought a spell like that could have its uses. The blue unicorn, too, looked at the sky as she herd Hawk's little speech about the moon, the daily gift from both The Princess of The Moon and her sister, glowing vividly in the sky. It truly was a beautiful sight, majestic enough to make someone forget about everything and just stare at it for hours. But the moon wasn't the only thing shining on the sky that night, countless of smaller celestial bodies, most of them visible to the naked eyes, could be appreciated. A faint trace of scorn in her heterochromatic eyes as she looked at them before returning to reality.
Turning to her companion, "Simple", she said as a response to the nocturnal's question. Her horn got engulfed in a blueish aura as three objects levitated out of her cape. The first was a glass spray bottle; the second, a syringe the size of a watermelon and the third, a big and long steel cylinder with a lid. "As I said, we're going to get a sample... a blood sample, to be more precise. Can you hold this?" she said as she used her telekinesis to levitate the spray bottle, filled with a grayish green liquid, next to him. "And don't play with it, it's dangerous"
Suddenly, the blue unicorn twitched her ears. An approaching ethereal roar could be heard from some distance away. "Well, do you feel ready? Stay low and don't make any sound, understood?"

"for they reveal ones true self" Hawk's ears went flat when he heard the roar as he looked up to see the dragon come into view. grabbing the bottle, he ducked down into the bush. "that's... a big... dragon." he whispered to Double surprised by the beast. he never seen a dragon before, and never imagined them to be so... scary. giving a nod, he stood out of sight. he was so not ready, but he didn't have a choice in the matter.

Double Trouble
Double Trouble removed the lid from the metal cylinder with her hooves. Once opened, she used her magic to retrieve its content... a long and sharp hypodermic needle. She attached it to the upper part of the syringe and gave it a soft fickle. Without even looking at Night Hawk, she began another explanation, "Draco's have a think layer of scales", she said as she contemplated her syringe, "trying to insert this on one of them would be like trying to penetrate a rock with a knife. Fortunately, that altered corrosive liquid you have in that bottle will help us overcome that defense", she said as she turned her head to the Nocturnal, "that substance is powerful enough to weaken the sturdiness of any organic surface without destroying it, however, it only lasts for a few second, so I'm going to need you to be applying constant doses of that as I take a sample, am I clear?"
Without any warning, a snake-like dragon descended from the heavens on to the base of the waterfall. It moved in a zig-zag motion and its roar prevailed over the loud clashes of water of the Neighagra Fall. "Yes... it certainly is, but I'm sure this one is far from the biggest", she replied in a collected manner to Hawk's comment regarding the size of the creature. Unlike the typical dragon in Equestria, this one had had a long and slender body covered entirely in sparkling aquamarine-colored scales, like an elegant snake. Three clawed toes in each of its two frontal feet, which were big enough to grab a healthy stallion. A bright, translucent hair like the night sky but with a greenish tone covered its neck and tail tip. Its head had a long snout, two nostrils like crescent moons and two flowing white whiskers located in its upper jaw, dancing constantly like willow leaves in the wind, but the most remarkable feature of its head, besides the two eyes like emeralds, with no pupils nor irises, was the jade colored jewel shaped like a six-pointed star on its forehead. The lack of wings certainly didn't stop it from soaring the skies gracefully like a swan and aggressively like a hawk.
The Draco flied in circles for a few seconds before finally diving into the deep river. After some long seconds, it finally emerged from the stream, half of its body still underwater. The creature looked around and growled softly, it stood idly for a few seconds before slowly swimming to the shore. Taking another look around, the beast let out a big yawn and rested the upper half of it body on the bed of pebbles and rocks. It closed its eyes and in a matter of minutes, the creature fell asleep, both its hair and whiskers still flowing in the wind like a candle fire.
"Very well, this is our chance", she exclaimed with a serious tone, the syringe floating right next to her. "You know what to do, if we do this right, then we won't have any troub-tro-...", the blue unicorn was rudely interrupted by a tickling inside her nostrils, she could do nothing but take a long breath and bring her hoof to her mouth "tro-tro-tr-tr-Achoo!", she sneezed and her horn immediately glowed. A white flash engulfed Double Trouble and she disappeared.
It took less than a second for her to pop back on the spot she vanished. "Ugh..." she didn't have time to take a single breath, as the syringe was already falling to the ground after Double's telekinesis came to a halt the moment she sneezed. She reacted immediately and caught the syringe in a hug before it hit the ground, her desperation turning into relief for a brief moment before raising her head and noticing the long, giant and sharp needle attached to the instrument. She let out a yelp as she used her unicorn magic to levitate the thing away from her. Panting and with a terrified look on her face, she turned her head and looked at Hawk with an awkward smile. "Although... o-on second thought... c-could you be the one using the syringe, Hawk? Umhh... you see..." she gulped, her expression turning into one of fear as she looked at the syringe, "I-I'm not very fond of needles... I don't like them... not one bit... please?". Lowering her ears, she pouted and looked at him with big, sad eyes, as in a "begging" gesture.

"for they reveal ones true self" Hawk snickered. "here, I got a better idea." hawk said placing the bottle down and magically taking the Syringe, then proceeded to walk up to the dragon. "excuse me, Mr. dragon, sir?" hawk said as the dragon opened one eye and looked at hawk and the large needle. "yes, well, I was wondering if I could take a blood sample, you see, your the first dragon I've seen in my life, and, well I would be honored if you would allow me." hawk asked. the dragon raised his head and leaned in close, looking over Hawk, as if intrigued by him. "very well little one, make it quick." the dragon said as he lifted one of his scales. Hawk, quickly taking a sample of blood, smiled and bowed, and took out the bottle of moon dew. "Thank you so much, I greatly admire such a noble dragon, such as yourself." hawk said placing a drop of moon dew on the area he use the needle on. taking another bow he turned and trotted to Double, with a smug look on his face. "well, that wasn't so bad." he said handing the syringe to Double. "he was actually very nice, not at all what I expected..." he said finally corking the beaker and placing it in his cloak once again. "so anything else?" he said giving a smile, knowing full well how surprised Double would be.

Double Trouble
She just stood there with a shocked and astonished look on her face as she grabbed the syringe with her hoofs, unable to believe what she just witnessed, her mouth and eyes wide opened and her irises shrunken to the size of a small dot. Both her left eye and ear were twitching occasionally and her right ear flattened against her head. Double Trouble's brain still unable to register what just happened. All that planning, all that time spent analyzing the possible outcomes and solutions of the encounter with the creature, crumbling like a sand castle being swept away by a single wave of the sea. "Wh-Wha-?... But-... I... you... it... how-... I... b-but...", she stood there, holding the syringe, continuing her stuttering and staring at nothingness for a good and long minute.
Regaining her composure, she looked at the instrument her hoofs were holding, the tube of the syringe was filled with a sparkling and aquamarine-colored substance, it was almost like looking at a clear night sky full of stars. "I, umhh... n-no, that's all... t-thank you", she said in a struggling way with a mix of relief and confusion in her voice, still unable to think clearly. Taking a quick look at the Draco, who returned to its slumber, she got up, "Shall we go back to the station?" and began walking slowly, the syringe magically following her.
She stopped the moment they reached the small stream they crossed some time ago. She lowered her ears and frowned, "Umhhh... I... I think this is where we must part ways, I have to, umhh... deliver this thing someplace else" she said as she glanced at the liquid-filled tube floating next to her thanks to her telekinesis. "But before I do that... there are two things I'd like to say, Hawk", she said as she looked at his red eyes, "H-how were you able to do that? Weren't you scared of that Draco?"

"for they reveal ones true self" Hawk nodded. "honestly I was expecting a fight, I had no idea that stroking there ego would work so well." hawk said as he lowered his head. "and yes I was terrified." he said letting out a long sigh. placing a hoof on the side of his head he let out a second long sigh. "well in that case, maybe we should meet up some time, this was fun, maybe at ponyville?" hawk said smiling at Double. as he grabbed the cloak and tossed it onto his back. giving a nod he smiled. "I sure would like to have another adventure with you, for sure, consider me a friend." hawk said as he let his horn glow, casting a slight blue aura around Double. "may you have good dreams tonight... and maybe next time I can show you some of my magic." hawk said giving a wink.

Double Trouble
Double Trouble let out a small giggle, "Thanks, I'm looking forward for that... but wait You're forgetting this!" she said as she her telekinesis to levitate the other beaker next to Night Hawk, inside of it were the bark she peeled earlier that afternoon and a ticket for the train station. "How were you going return without this?", she asked, lowering her ears.
"And... once again, before you go, allow me to express how grateful I am for this, Hawk. Thank you for everything", she said as shegave him a slight bow, "And I apology if I caused any kind of trouble". The Blue unicorn raised her hoof to her mouth in a thinking way "And, umhh... did I mention I'm an Astrologer? Would you like me to read what the stars say about your future before you go?" she asked enthusiastically.

Double Trouble
"Oh... I see, very well, I understand", Double Trouble said with a smile, trying to hide her small disappointment. She sighed, "Well... it's understandable, I already took a lot of his time", she thought as she waved him back, "Byeeeee! Thanks for everything!" The blue unicorn kept waving until the Nocturnal was no longer in sight. She didn't have any intentions of going to Ponyville... but who knows, maybe someday...
The giant syringe, now with its upper needle removed, followed her as she walked along the course of the stream. The blue unicorn was lost in thought, listening to the soothing sound of the flowing water in the stream. The unicorn raised her gaze and contemplated the endless sea of stars. That's when something peculiar caught her attention, and she stopped walking... "Mhhhh... that's weird", she thought as she laid her eyes on a trio of stars shining erratically, in an even more intense manner than usual. She began whispering to herself. "Those are... Vega... Altair and Deneb? The three stars of The Summer Triangle...", intrigued, she brought her hoof to her mouth, thinking... "If Eltanin is located right now above the Neighagra Falls... then what The Summer Triangle is located above right now should be...", she stood still for a few seconds, calculating the distance of the stars and their actual relative position with respect to the Earth "... Hollow Shades?"
She couldn't tell what it meant... but one thing was clear to her, something big was going to be happening there... or maybe it already was. "Mhhh, perhaps I should go and check if everything is under control in the-ther-theACHOO!!"
The liquid-filled tube fell down, but before it could hit the ground, an aura with an intense blue engulfed it and it stopped in its tracks, suspended in the air. "There won't be any need for that. After all...", the tube levitated right in front of Double Trouble, reflecting her face on its glass, "that's not what the stars have planned for us," she said as she appreciated her own reflection on the tube, "isn't that right, Phi?", a faint smirk spreading across her face. "Besides, we've got work to do..."
The blue-coated unicorn adjusted her white cravat and resumed her march,
eventually disappearing inside the endless labyrinth of trees and pines.
