His head whipped around, staring at her, his eyes huge. The tough, rugged, warrior looked like nothing more than an older man that'd been told something impossible.
"That's...impossible! Se-combeians not of the Royal Family train years, in seclusion, just to gain the tiniest of telepathic powers. Unless..."
He placed a hand on her head, over her right ear, fingers in her hair, and closed his eyes, flowing power into her. The same kind that'd been emanating before the shock, only more intense.

Serena again covered his hand with her own and tried to imagine his light as she closed her eyes. She pushed harder this time, grasping at the golden spark. Hello she thought softly. She imagined pulling him toward her until her bluewhite light met his golden one.

He pulled back, amazed, though there was no bubble this time.
"Miss Fayne...Serena...this is astounding. This is beyond that. Meditating with the Light caused you to grasp something that's never been done by anyone aside from your rulers."
His tone was excited, and his image was becoming more and more like a normal man
"The Captain needs to hear this. You need to show her. This is incredible."
He ran his hands through his hair. He couldn't even thing straight. he hadn't been this excited sine he became a Paladin.

Serena reached forward and stilled his hands as they ran through his hair.
"My Lady, is busy. Leave her be for the moment and we can keep practicing so we have something to really show her."
Serena pulled his hands down from his head and inched forward on her knees until hers were meeting his. With more contact, she thought, perhaps the link will be stronger. She tried again, closing her eyes and bowing her head. She imagined their two lights interlocking, opening up a meld between them.
Celdor...Can you hear me?

He sighed, the logical parts of his brain reasserting control.
"Of course. You're right."
He sat back down, cross legged, though the candle was out, due to their movement and his bubble. When she tried to reestablish contact, there was nothing.
"It might have something to do with my abilities as well."

~~Serena Fayne~~  "Well you did seem a lot more open when you were meditating." Serena mused as she tried to figure out why she couldn't reestablish the connection. Really though it was beyond her comprehension all together. She shouldn't have been able to do what she did. She stood up and stretched her arms above her head, hands clasped together and moved her body from side to side. "Maybe the next time you meditate I can join you? And we can try again?"

H watched her sway. It was rather hypnotic, really.
"Of course, Miss Fayne. Same time, tomorrow? I recommend my quarters still. They are the quietest place on the ship, outside of the crawlspaces."

~~Serena Fayne~~ "The crawl spaces?" She stopped moving, her body still to one side as she looked at him with raised eyebrows. "Do you have to go into them often?" She straightened up and wrapped her arms around her bare stomach.

His head cocked to the side in confusion. He didn't understand the reason behind the sudden interest.
"Not normally. But I have knowledge in certain engineering areas. And if they need something repaired swiftly, but it's too dangerous, they send me in. My shield protects me."
He smiled softly.
"That's what happened when I stumbled into your Galley half dead."

I didn't see you in the line when I was serving... You aren't skipping your meals are you?" Her smile faded. "You have to look after yourself, or at least let me do it for you."

He inclined his head toward her."
"But I haven't exerted myself until recently, in the gym. So I hadn't the need till now."

They were still a little damp from her excitement to get over here. "Well...would you like to come with me and I'll force feed you again?" Her smile was sweet and would have been had to resist for most males.
