Name: H’in
Age: 25
Gender: Ambigious
Appearance: H’in is a sleek, predatory looking individual. Sporting a faux mohawk, black hair cut short on the sides and allowed to grow long and unruly, olive tone skin roughed by the elements, and rather stunning green eyes framed in long lashes, clad in head to toe leather and mix armor, most people have trouble telling H’in’s gender. H’in likes it that way.
Biologically, H’in is female. Slender, with hips and shoulders the same width and not much of a chest, with the right clothing she could pass as a smooth cheek man. She prefers a sort of between state, not associating as male or female but merely as H’in.
H’in’s everyday clothing is of good quality, but tends to be worn. H’in’s leather armor was second handed from her fathers, cut and refitted to allow better range of motion. The quilted padding is much the same, patched and falling just above the knees, and their boots are just as worn, pitted, and weathered as the rest of the leather.
Outside of leather, H’in’s clothing choices tend to be subtle natural colors, red browns, blacks, creams and fawns, with a splash of subdue blue. H’in snubs any sort of precious metals or decorative stones.
Weapons, worn and well-loved and care for, H’in inherited their biological father’s sword and a pair of excellent knives from their other father. Their mother got them a pin, created of sturdy metal and meant to pin hair in place, this one has been sharpened at the tip and has a soft sheaf of leather. H’in keeps it tucked on their back for ease of access.
H’in does have traditional rider leather scale mail, goggles and the rest of the gear from being a rider. It just a bit more noticeable then their favored weather pitted wear.
Personality:
H’in blends in the background with a quiet thoughtfulness, and relaxed but confident demeanor. A major talent for her wing. When H’in speaks, their voice is level, rational, and has a firmness.
Not one to draw attention to theirself nor one for dominance games, H’in is quite satisfied with their rank and wing. The third wing and second division is where they wanted to be. They wouldn’t mind the second, H’in has a hatrage for bandits. H’in worked hard, steady working, and fueled with determination and will. They aren’t cocky, yes they made it but now they have to continuously prove it.
H’in is rather aloof. They could care less that your grandma died or your weyrmate cheated with the master harper. H’in is just not all that interested in other people’s personal problems.
Frank, if H’in doesn’t like you, they are rather forthright in making it known, especially if they are trying to be friendly with a firm, “I don’t like you, I might never like you, but let’s get the job done and over with.” H’in barely tolerate people who are late, cocky, idoits, actually, they have a list. H’in is willing to put up with a lot to get the job done, but those few that cross that line of tolerance find themselves at the end of their tongue, with a cool “Perhaps, if you weren’t ******** so and so’s weyrmate, you would be able to actually do your job.”
Fierce, there is passion and then there is over zealousness savagery and maybe H’in enjoys their job a little too much. At least the physical act of slipping unseen into places people rather they didn’t. The occasional chase. Okay, so H’in likes danger. They like that their job is not safe, and the thrill and thrum and the rush of blood in ears.
Awareness, H’in notices things. They take in how a person holds their posture, how they move, the mud on their boot, the care they pay to their weapons, how people react to them. They store information, worrying it over.
Personality:
Strengths: thoughtful, confident, determined – stubborn pure grit works as well, alert
Flaws: aloof, frank to blunt, fiercely driven passionate thill junky

198-200 H’in returns settles into a series of undercover missions.
201-203- thread fall happens. Welp, there goes most of their missions to the handlers. Great.
H’in born Hollin was the second child of a polygamous trio, making them Navah’s second child and Loche’s first. They have an elder brother, Naanash and no younger biological siblings. They had consider the Holder’s children who they grew up with and were taught with as relatives. H’in’s relationships with them have dried up since they impressed. Their relationship with their family is as strong as ever.
H’in knows this, that their family would never have been if Shidan’s first employ hadn’t end up killed during the beginnings of the Igen civil war. Shidan’s father was a guard and his brothers were guards and he followed being a private body guard. Then throwing his skills in Keren side of the civil war and learning to command. Near the end he ended up saving the life of a youngster that ended up being the son a rather well off holder.
The holder let him stay for a few days to recover and got him a job with a group of traders and gifted him with a nicely made sword. Shidan kept with the traders for turns and meet her father while on the route from Igen to Lemos to Teglar to Ruatha. They got together and off and on meet their mother and married in Lemos. They kept traveling about till after the first famine and a change of management made them leave the caravan on the outskirts of Ruatha and High Reaches territory and took a position as private body guards with a Holder. Hollin grew up rather well, the Holder allowing them to take lessons with his children’s private tutors and he approved of them taking up martial arts.
185 brought changes, their fathers were badly injured in defending the hold. Shidan hip never healed right and his eye had been slashed. Loche lost his hand in a crushing injury, forcing it to be amputated. Their elder brother went off to apprentice to be a healer, H’in pretty sure their parents injury caused that one, though Nash had always been smart.
Hollin kept close to the Holder’s children, specially his daughters one just a bit older than they were and one a bit younger. They had plans to be a personal guard for both till they were married off, maybe accompany the youngest as a personal maid.
A few turns later, a search rider came and Hollin stood. A rider would be better than a ladies maid and their parents wouldn’t have to worry about a dowry and Hollin never wanted to marry.
Hollin was thrilled when they were chosen. They took to the bootcamp with a fierce and fiery gusto, half nostalgic from their parents teaching. They didn’t teach no slouch. Hollin didn’t cry or care when their hair was shaved. It was hair. It would grow back and be something of worth and pride when it did.
They took to squire ship with the same glee, being assigned to a member of the third wing. Hollin became close to the female rider and they stuck up a strong bond and she taught Hollin all sorts of sleight of hand tricks. Hollin stood the first clutch they could in the turn of 192 and impressed brown Rilyneth. Rilyneth egg was nothing fancy, average in size and rather dull. H’in can remember touching it but not what the first feel between them was. Rilyneth hatched early, the brown lazily rocking out of his egg and then just watching them till about midway when he ignored everyone and headed straight towards Hollin.
The rest of the hatching was a blur, there was just H’in, they knew what they were going to elide their name even if they couldn’t till much latter, and Rilyneth. Sometime after Rilyneth’s first flight the dragon plague came. H’in set their feet in, they would not run, and they couldn’t. They would survive and be stronger for it. H’in tended Rilyneth feverously cajoling and bullying the brown into living, to eat, to drink, to survive. They made it through, though Rilyneth always remained small and spindly, but they survived when so many people did not.
They spent the next two turns surviving and recovering and training. Their first flight together was well after Rilyneth was a turn old, the young brown too frail to take the traditional ten month mark flight. They grew together, taking the time to learn and do things right the first time.
196 Hollin became officially H’in and they walked the table to the 3rd wing, second division. A turn later, they requested Attache’ leave to their home hold, pointing out that their hold was on the outskirts of the territory, they were known, and it would be a good gesture of faith and trust that they weren’t forgotten. It also had the added benefit that H’in knew they would be housed well and they could check on their parents. Introduce Rilyneth to them. Give Rilyneth another turn to grow and recover before they start serious duties as a 197 wing rider.
198 through 200, H’in and Rilyneth took to various undercover missions. H’in styled their selves as a blade for hire, a soldier looking for work and listened to gather information. Who was looking for private body guards, how many, if it seemed they were amassing a private army. H’in worked, learning what was being transported and helped uncover a black market ring dealing with ‘powder wher bones’.
With the fall of thread, H’in has been restrained to High Reaches Weyr, working but they miss the thrill of working undercover. H’in been debating seeking out a switch to wing two for more simulation.
THE DRAGON
Name: Rilyneth
Age: 11
Colour: Brown
Feel of voice: Tightly wound spring, luminous eye shine, freshly forged metal and polish
Appearance: Mahogany and butterscotch, while most of Rilyneth is dark rich mahogany brown, his hind quarters are dabbled in a golden brown, including the entirely of his left hind leg. Rilyneth is small for a brown, and with a spindly physic from the plague.
Personality: Warmth and sunshine, Rilyneth is personal, genuine interested in the goings ons of both people and his fellow kin. Did that happen? He is sorry to hear about your bond partners break up, and don’t worry everyone afraid during their first flight. Things will be alright.
Rilyneth is a nice guy. Helpful, warm, and steely sleek muscle and rampart protective instincts. They will protect and care for everyone H’in. They will take care of all the bad things in the world. Rilyneth doesn’t stand any sort of bullying, the brown will first tell someone that they are quite out of line. They may be right, but they don’t have to be so cruel about it. If that doesn’t work, he will likely flopped down between the aggressor and victim and just stare. Really?
While Rilyneth is a great smoothing agent he isn’t very bright. He isn’t dumb, but his mindset is rather simple. There is a right and there is a wrong. His world view are rather monochromic black and white, good and evil. Crime is bad. H’in finds them, he tells the others, and crime is stopped. H’in is good. How his rider managed to get the information does not matter. They did wonderful! <3
Flights are passionate affairs. Rilyneth chases all the ladies, never wanting them to feel left out. He croons and shows off in stunts, they are wonderful, and lovely, and he will show off for them. No, he isn’t showing off because he is a gorgeous specimen of a brown. Not at all. Rilyneth is a little bit vain over his flight abilities and ability to romance. Come on ladies, he is the best fella.
Note: Firelizard roll please if approved before contest end.
