Alana smirked at the male's words, snorting back a chuckle and then ending up laughing anyway at her own grunting sound she made in attempting to hold one back. "Note to self.. Don't try to stifle laughter..." She thought to herself, blushing slightly as her snort was quite 'unladylike'... Not that she gave a crap about such things, she just didn't like being mistaken as a guy due to her appearance and demeanor. Okay.. Maybe she cared a little... But for good reason! I mean what self respecting girl wanted to be seen as 'one of the guys'? Oh right... She did... Letting out a light sigh, the girl appeared to be deep in thought as she scratched gently behind the purring feline's ears as it pawed at her chest inside her jacket. Snapping out of her train of thought as Stahl spoke to the annoying woman she had been ignoring, Alana looked to him. She was amazed how calm he stayed in the face of annoying people. A victorious smirk crossed her face as he stood up for the kitten as she had. Alana turned to the woman. "I believe the matter is settled here. We will keep the kitten with us, and you can keep your nose out of our business." She said with a bright smile, as she enjoyed annoying the woman back. "Sound good?" She asked. The woman huffed slightly, not looking as though she'd give in. An annoyed expression crossed Alana's face and she glared at the woman. "Look, we'll leave when the rain lets up. I don't see what the huge deal is about my having a helpless animal in my arms, as it won't hurt anyone." She said flatly. "I'll make you a deal... If the cat does any damage, I'll pay for it. Sound fair?" She asked.
The woman sighed but nodded, before leaving. Smiling again, Alana turned to Stahl, hearing him mention something about a name for the kitten."Well, she looks like a furry mango. So how about Mango?" She asked, petting the kitten's orange fluffy fur. Alana had an odd view on naming things.

 Stahl § Venerra "Come along with me, we'll fly between worlds,
Through purple forests and frostbitten skies,
Diving deep, we'll make these late nights memorable..." For the most part, Stahl at least made an attempt to let Alana off the hook when she let out a noise that could only be described as a laugh that she had failed to completely muffle. Giving only the slightest of smirks, he made another mental note, he wouldn't let that involuntary noise go forgotten. Another thing he took note of was the blush that soon followed. She had blushed three times in the short time they had stayed in this room. The third of course being just now, the second being after the little incident with the spider and the first when she had realised he had seen her nuzzling the kitten. "Blushing due to unintentional actions and their cause? Or perhaps due to unflattering depictions these actions create? I wonder..." He thought, though he cut himself off for the sake of not letting curiosity get the better of him. They were already on thin ice with the woman over at the desk, no need to make a scene that'll give her proper reason to kick them out. Speaking of which, his gaze turned towards said woman as Alana spoke to her. It looked as though they had won this battle, he only hoped it would dispell any attempts at another skirmish for a little longer. He blinked slightly, however, when Alana offered a compromise. As an observer, he rarely saw people willingly create deals in which they did not benefit from. "Finding all sorts of new things with your new friend, eh?" His thoughts said to him. Stahl mentally shrugged, couldn't lump every individual into the same categories.
Turning his attention to Alana and the kitten, he smiled a bit as the woman dubbed their feline friend as Mango. "Can't say I'm good with naming things...and for the record, I'm more of a bird person..." He said light-heartedly, placing his hands behind his head as his wings, still tucked tight against his back, shuddered slightly for emphasis. "But Mango's a good name I think." For a brief moment, Stahl bent at the waist a little until he was eye-level with Mango. Taking in the fluffy creature, he smiled again. "Unless, of course, you have any complaints?" He asked light-heartedly, absolutely directing the question towards the kitten.

Alana was so involved in petting the furry feline in her arms that she didn't even notice the faint smirk on the male's face. If she had noticed, he would be hearing about it. And he would be hearing about it a lot. Alana was very opinionated and had a bit of a loud mouth when it came to speaking before thinking first. As she cradled the little fluffy kitten in her arms, she cooed over it slightly, not noticing the cutesy noise she was making as she tickled the little animal's belly. The kitten mewed and pawed at her hand, play-biting it. "Heh.." She half-chuckled, before noticing the male had spoken. She laughed shortly when he said he was more of a bird person. "Couldn't have anything to do with your wings, hm?" She half-teased, holding the kitten up to his eye level. "How could you say no to such a cute face?" She asked with a grin, as the kitten mewed and tilted its head to the side slightly.

Unable to stop the part of him that took note of every little detail of another person, Stahl watched curiously as Alana played with the kitten, almost completely certain that she was oblivious to everything that wasn't the bundle of fur in her arms. The way she held Mango and made small noises at her, if he wasn't mistaken it all seemed rather...motherly. To be honest, it was an amusing sight to behold, one that he knew he wouldn't be able to resist bringing up if he ever needed to take her tougher facade down a peg or two...though he'd probably have to make sure he was out of striking range before that happened. When she mentioned his wings, Stahl too let out a short laugh. "Perhaps, or maybe it's the other way around, having wings because I prefer birds." He said. Tehcnically speaking, that was probably the most likely answer. Shifters like him specialised in a single type of animal, birds just appealed more to the dark-haired male over cats and dogs. Nontheless, Stahl had little time to ponder for much longer as Alana held the kitten up in front of him. He had stared at Mango for a second or two in brief confusion, but her words formed a playful smile on his face. Holding his hands behind his back, Stahl leaned forward just a little, his gaze momentarily locked on the kitten. "No." He said simply, a light chuckle escaping his lip as he reached out and gently ran a hand along the kitten's head. "Cats are still fine creatures. Agile, flexible, curious...but keeping both feet on the ground forever? Not going to happen." He added, flicking his gaze up to Alana and smiling softly before standing normally. For the briefest of moments, things were silent between them...actually, Stahl noted, it was too quiet, more so than it had been a minute or two ago. Casting his glance over to the doors to the place, he let out a small breath. The rain had stopped, or at least reduced to a light drizzle. "I think it might be safe to head out again...though it's not like we can't duck back in if it picks up once more." He said. With the addition of that last statement, he couldn't help but smirk a little, he was sure he could hear a quiet sigh from nearby that hadn't been from the long-haired girl in front of him.
{Hey :3 No need to apologise, I understand. Things have been alright, back to studying too, so I have barely any time to RP now...which sucks, but since I'm still trying to get full-time work it can't be helped >w<"I'm crystallised,
