Well now. This one spooked easily. That much was apparent right away by the way she practically jumped to attention, her head turning towards him so fast he thought she might just have given herself whiplash. With eyebrows raised, he held up both of his hands, palm outwards, in the universal sign of
woah now I mean no harm, then watched her, curiously, as she began to look around, as though he could have possibly been talking to
anybody else besides her. And then she just stared at him, so he stared back.
"You're new." Of course, it was more then obvious now when she stuttered out her explanation for what she was doing there.
"Right, of course, well you are in the wrong place." She seemed to already know that, though, so moving on.
"Why the ******** are you sorry?" He grimaced, when she apologized.
"You don't need to be sorry for anything. I still get lost in this ******** place." He muttered that last part mostly to himself, reaching up to rub fingers against his forehead, scratching beneath the strap that went up into his hairline and held his eye patch in place.
"Tell you what, sweetheart. I'll show you to where you're looking for, and you can tell me all about yourself. Sound good?" Another smile, another, much more deliberate glance up and down her body before he smirked, and gave his head a small shake. He wasn't even actually
interested in her, but yet it was like he just could not help himself but flirt with her anyways.
